These are the next round of 16 games taking place today Monday 1st July:
France vs Belgium
Portugal vs Slovenia I think France vs Belgium will be a close match and it is difficult to name a winner but I am leaning towards France. In the other game most people would expect Portugal to beat Slovenia.
These are the games played yesterday:
England 2-1 Slovakia
Spain 4-1 Georgia England were 1-0 down and already in to time added-on with just 20 seconds away from being knocked out before Bellingham managed to score. It was the first shit in target England had throughout the whole game. Based that performance, Slovakia deserved to qualify because they played excellent pressing football but England have been playing like amateurs throughout the tournament and deserved to lose.
When Georgia took the lead it made Spain realise a big upset was possible therefore they stepped and up and ensured a comprehensive win. It shows why Spain are among the favourites.
The first four teams that have qualified for the quarter-finals are:
Switzerland,
Germany,
England,
Spain.

@JollyGood, I have mentioned this elsewhere, but since you are a thorough observer of events of different kinds, what was your feeling when you saw the Italian national team play the way they played?
After the game started I was 100% sure Italy would lose because they seemed like a team in chaos with no plan. I was surprised they were not fighting until the last second before the referee blew his whistle to demonstrate they wanted to win but throughout the tournament they did not play as though they were the current Euro champions. They were fortunate to beat Albania in their opening game and stood no chance against a determined and talented Swiss team.
Let me introduce you to my train of thoughts and to the train of thoughts of my Italian best friends: they were very close to being convinced that the game was rigged. Italy, as if they had a 3-0 lead, passed the ball back and forth at the midfield line, from left to right, from right to left, without attacking for almost 92 minutes. In minute 85' I couldn't trust my eyes. A team would throw everything at Switzerland if they are a goal down or two. Everything! What was this? Frankly, I was totally confused. There were no attacks and they didn't hit a single ball the entire game that could be considered a reasonable shot on target. Is this even possible for an Italian team? I still don't get it. You could see from the Swiss players' reactions after the game that this was not what they expected let alone were hoping for. They must have thought this is going to be the fight of their life and everyone will sink down after the game, celebrating with tears in their eyes that they just beat the former European champion, but no. Some fists, some joy, business as usual. Really weird game and I can't recall having seen anything remotely similar to that from an Italian team ever.
I have never seen the Italian national side play that bad before but I doubt the game was rigged.
To me it was a contest between a group of Swiss players that were proudly wearing their national jersey and playing to win the game versus an Italian team that was devoid of ideas and knew they were going to lose.
