This time the Jose Mourinho's troops did not joke, they proved that football on the pitch was not on paper or about statistics. They really take advantage of the opportunities that exist, only with 2 free kicks they are able to create 2 goals. I don't think this is a surprise, but the hard work of the Manchester United forces.
I very rarely bet on Manchester United, who're the devil to me in every sense of the word heh heh, but couldn't ignore the
odds last night (6.66) - literally the devil's number calling out to me to bet, which I did... and won. They were outplayed and outclassed, and got the full 3 points courtesy of an own goal. Liverpool have been in Juventus's shoes, too often in past campaigns for me to enjoy it, but they've been showing more grit recently, minus the limp display in Belgrade.
Was it now 3 comebacks in 4 games for United? Mourinho negative football at its best, I guess.
I don't know what to think of Manchester United this season but they seem unpredictable this year, they win against Juventus in Juventus home soil and they lose in their Premier League against teams where everybody predicts them to win.
Yesterday games came almost all as predicted excluding Juventus so I believe it was a good night for many gamblers.
Yeah, and I had the usual spot on method of picking the upsets to parlay, Lyon and Juventus let me down, but was lucky to have hedged with a United upset. Entertaining season so far, both domestic and continental. Just still unhappy that City is steamrolling too easily.
