PSG - Napoli match was great to watch and I don't that result of game can be called as surprise. Napoli played really well, but di Maria saved the day for PSG. Now it's very interesting situation in this group before second round.
This is still a equal ball game for the three teams in Group C, Liverpool, Napoli, and PSG are still battling for the top 2 spots. PSG and Napoli will have their rematch in day # 4 and it could really make or break both teams. Napoli defeated Liverpool in their first match and PSG lost to Liverpool in their first matchup. They still yet to face Liverpool in their 2nd game but I think Napoli is in a much better position compared to PSG, yet this could change after the result in their 2nd match against one another, it will also depend on how they will matchup against Liverpool after.

Do you know that PSG never won game against Italians clubs ever
Next game between those two teams will decide  which one will qualify
If PSG will not qualify to next games will be yet another nervous moves done by Arabic owners
Glory to Ancelotti for the second time Napoli stooped best strikers in the world

And Borussia great to see that team bouncing back

Damn, no, never knew that stat. That has to be a big fluke just waiting to be broken. Tell you what though, Napoli weren't just a terror last season, and they haven't really lost their sting... Still one of the best attacking forces thanks to 3 seasons of Sarri... So not so much a credit to Ancellotti I would say.

Shaping up to be a great season for all attackers, and a great show of sturdiness by Napoli to blunt the best 3 strikers of England and France. Well done, indeed.
I really did not expected Napoli to be here and to be this good. I do not follow Italian league so much which is probably the reason why I do not know how and when napoli got this good but when I think Italian teams I think of Milan, Inter, Juventus and so forth, Napoli is one of the last teams I would have assumed be here and yet here they are and they are really showing off why they deserve to be here.

Sad thing is I think they have a better chance at Europa instead of champions league, champions league is still ran by teams that have billions of dollars at their bank accounts and even tho PSG seems to have some troubles it will probably temporary and will probably overcome Napoli to get to next stage. I hope Napoli will have a better shot at Europa so they could actually show off not only rich people can have cups.

The Spurs will obv need to acquire some players this January if by some miracle they get to the KO stages.

And how much longer until Poch's contract expires?  He's the only reason why their core players aren't leaving, so they'd better start winning something while he's still around...  Once he's out, they'll be in a rut for years longer than United.

Poch is always linked with Real isn’t he. I think he’s taken Spurs as far as he can now, they spent nothing in the summer. Hopefully Spurs go back to where they belong - 6th or 7th every season Grin

Nah man...  I wanna see them win one EPL trophy under Poch before he leaves, then Mou leaves United with Poch replacing him and taking the helm.  It would only make the EPL more interesting.

And Benitez could take over at the Spurs.  Cheesy

If PSG will not qualify to next games will be yet another nervous moves done by Arabic owners
The reason the owners brought Tuchel is to perform "well" in the CL (reach the final or win the whole thing). I hope they don't sack Tuchel if the team doesn't qualify to the next round, the guy seems to have a proper long-term project in mind for the team and he's overall a great manager, but knowing how the PSG owners run things, I wouldn't be surprised if they sack Tuchel if he loses against Napoli :/

And Borussia great to see that team bouncing back
Superb performance against Atletico, a team with one of the best defences in the world. I wonder if it's too early to say "Dortmund is back"

Favre is very interesting coach
He is educating his players
Do you know that one of players educated by him was Marco Raus during time when Favre was Borussia Moenchengladbach

look for all that young players Jacob Bruun Larsen. Achraf Hakim Jadon Sancho Achraf Hakim and more check his age
All those players are in age 18-22 years old half of Dortmund first eleven is in  that age
Sancho coming from bench has three goals and 8 assist in 12 games .He is 18 years old
And that young team crashed Atletico 4-0

expect big biding on Borussia players very soon

I should have place my bets on Villarreal to win the match in full time when they are playing against Rapid Vienna yesterday in the Europa League, I did not expect Villarreal to be able to win the match with a comfortable 5 goal margin in this match, as Villarreal recent performance in the Spanish La Liga league are not very stable.

@LFC: Hope you enjoyed Red Star, and damn that was a nice bet to top it all up. Reminds me of Europa when I had Sturridge to score first. Of course, we ended up losing so my cake was small and not good to swallow.

Europa tidbits, betting isn't going too well but looking good for the English sides. Arsenal scraped out a win, Chelsea had a wobble at the end but too late for BATE. Maybe Spurs will join them, by the looks of it. And that's if they're lucky. Rangers top of their table in Europa, who wouldn't have imagined except Gerrard? And that Celtic lost again, must be extra sweet for them... just too bad it's Rodgers who has to bear that.

And how much longer until Poch's contract expires?  He's the only reason why their core players aren't leaving
Poch signed a contract extension this year until 2023.

But It's kinda scary when you think about it, especially if you're a Tottenham fan...to think about the day when Poch finally leaves the team to start a new long-term project in a tier 1 club, and the likes of Dele Alli, Eriksen, Harry kane, Dier, etc, will go to different top clubs. It'll be the end of an era, probably not the most succesful one since they haven't won any trophies, but at least in terms of "quality", it'll be a squad to remember for a very long time.
Personally I think that Pochetino is overated manager. Yes, Totenham in his era have good and stable results in EPL and European tournaments, they playing nice football. But the problem that he didn't managed to win any trophies in these years. Tottenham always struggling in crucial matches like, and their current results in UCL is the best proof of it. Recent seasons aren't best for teams like Arsenal or MU, but they won trophies like Europa league or FA cup. But I don't think that their future is dark. It will be difficult to replace their current leaders. But Tottenham isn't poor club, they have new stadium which will generate more income for this club and I'm sure that they will remain to be close to the top as they are now.
Early prediction - Spurs to finish outside of the top 4 this season. They’ve peaked & they’re going to go downhill from here.

Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea & Arsenal are better teams.
Probably it belongs to EPL discussion thread Wink

Watched Schalke and Galatasaray game and it was everything I really expected. Galatasaray certainly did not get ready for champions league and they were at a financial crisis just couple years ago so their roster was not fully prepared for champions league, they do not even have a striker that could potentially help them out with a miracle goal or anything, they played basically without a forward on their team. On the other hand Schalke was around last year and played great and all that however this year they suck both on champions league and on Bundesliga as well. Both teams played mediocre and they both had good shots at each other but eventually they failed to capitalize and seize the win.

The only good think about the game was the defender on Galatasaray side, he was something like 16 years old I think and dude was everywhere, he tackled very well, he ran a lot, he passed perfectly, at that age I would probably be scared to be a sideline referee let alone play and dude played with a cold blood, has mad potential to be a serious defender if he keeps his head low and keep training hard.

As I expected, Liverpool was dominating the whole match against Red Star Belgrade yesterday, I could basically watch the whole match in relaxing mode by placing my bets on Liverpool to win the match in full time, I think the goalkeeper of Liverpool was the most relaxing player in the whole match, as he have basically nothing to do in this match beside standing at the goal post.

Went to the LFC vs Red Star game last night, had a bet with BetVictor bookies in the stadium for 4-0 with Firmino 1st goal, won £350. Great result for my boys, top of the group & a great bet win too.
Traffic was shit on the motorway so didn’t get back home until 1am though, tired today.

It was a good match from Liverpool and especially Salah who's faced lot of criticism for not scoring many goals these season, I feel Liverpool are once again contenders for the cup. It's pertinent to note even Barcelona without Messi secured a victory, what was surprising was PSG with all the attacking players could not win it, this shall put their head coach under scrutiny.

@Lfc_Bitcoin I was expecting some pics from the game like you had updated for the premier league game you visited, during such matches traffic does gets worst no doubt about it.

I’ve thought many times about putting pics on here whilst at the game, bitcoin is something that makes me super paranoid because of anonymity etc. I always worry about people finding out who I am.

I’m at the game vs Cardiff at the weekend too. I’ll get my gf to take a pic of me at the game with my scarf over my face or something. That’s a promise!

Liverpool will be playing against Red Star Belgrade at the stadium of Anfield today in the Uefa Champions League, this is a match that Liverpool would surely want to claim all the 3 points, I believe with the quality of the players playing in Liverpool, they would easily be able to beat Red Star Belgrade in front of their home fans today, the odds payout on Liverpool to win the match in full time might be low, but I would still place a bet on it and I hope Liverpool will not disappoint me today.

It was something like 1.05 on Liverpool, so I never take those odds, and handicap 2.5 seemed too big for me to make 19/10 odds, but I should have gone for it. It's just Liverpool haven't played very well, wasn't confident they'd score more than 2 (or maybe 3 but let in 1). Barcelona at 1.5 was better, which I took.

Surprisingly Arsenal tonight is 1.9 but maybe because they find it hard to score away. Chelsea you have to bet Total Goals over 4 to get 1.9 so also too risky, considering Hazard is injured.
