I'm actually liking how the groups have fallen. They're all going to have some great games apart from Group D which is shit and Group F which has essentially given Man City a free pass to the next round already.

Looks like Napoli reps are shitting themselves at the thought of being in a group with PSG & Liverpool

^  I was thinking along the lines of the CL being a tourney format, so some clubs could lucky (usually at the draw).  And Mou isn't all that bad with him winning two CL trophies...  

United has a decent squad that could compete in the CL (luck included) imho.  

yeah i don't think that United is among top five teams that is contending on winning this competetion they still lack the understanding between the players especialy in defense and it will be an an achievement if they reached the quarter final, Juve with Barcelona , PSG , RealMadrid and Liverpool alongside City are far better team then them not to mention Atletico madrid and Napoli they can be at better level then united so it will be a big gamble to put money on them just like putting money on the year that Leicester won he league in they must be very lucky and the other teams play really bad

For me they are prime this season for winning this CL. There are very strong as team and it has been rumored that Pogba will come to Juve in winter transfer. If this is true then this could be very tempting bet for this to accomplish and to be very good one.

Im a fans of Manchester United but I would say that it is a really bad bet. Even if they offer the odds to be 50 then it is not really worth it as well. I would be blunt to say this but it will be really hard for manchester united. They stand a chance to win the premier league but in the champions league they dont really have any chance

^  Yeah...  The bookies really price them well.  Lol.  I was expecting 'Juve to win CL' to open at around 10 - 12 which makes it an easy bet imo.

Anway, I'm thinking of doing something stupid...  Man United at 35.  What do you guys think?

It is a fair bet and with Ronaldo on the team, they might have better chance to win. I wont really say that this is a good one but it is fair. No one was expecting Real Madrid to win the third time when they are doing very bad in the local league. It was then Ronaldo turned out to be a top goal scorer only on the champions league for Real Madrid

Does anybody here think the 7.28 line (CL futures) at Nitrogen for Juventus to win the CL a fair bet?  I was gonna def bet it if the line goes over 10, but 7.28 seems pretty close between 'bet' and 'no bet'.

PSG and Napoli will be the contender for those group as well and for now PSG might be quite superior compare with Liverpool but Napoli and Liverpool is quite equal . With M. Salah still on the team, Liverpool should be able to qualify for the next round. Salah is going to give it all to try to win the champions league with liverpool to boost his carreer

No worry about Liverpool
LFC has much better team than year ago
Games between all that three offensive team will be great
 
I am sure LFC will qualify Napoli has nothing to lose PSG everything

I see biggest problem for United

Here is Europa league groups:

I don't have much to say draw - many groups looks very ballanced and it's difficult to predict something, while big clubs like Chelsea, Sevilla or Arsenal will not very difficult opponents in the group stage.
And there is interesting thing - two Red Bull clubs (Salzburg and Leipzig) are in the same group.

Europa league draw happened a few hour ago, not sure of other teams but I saw Chelsea's group. We should be getting the maximum number of points by just using squad players. the level of competition in the group is low.

Mourinho doesn't even know what his best first XI is.  Lol.  And I think Ronaldo is giving Juve a lot of psychological boost imo.  It's just the thing they need to win the CL.

This group Man City seems to be a leader and the chances for Guardiola to finish at top of the group early on are good and to start the round and do not drain his players in the expectation that he has a Premier League will be harder than last season.

I think Shakhtar is most experienced in the championship than others in recent years, and their own league they have less pressure than the others  but Nagelsmann Hoffenheim proved that he could hurt the opponents, while Lyon has good names but they are not too consistant and they have a challenge for For the championsleague seats in the the league which will often be the toughest challenge for them to focus on two competetions.

I think the only English Premier League club that are luckier in the Champions League draw would be Manchester City, all of their opponents in group F which includes team Shakhtar Donetsk, Hoffenheim and Lyon are not extremely tough opponents to handle, and I believe Manchester City would have a very high chance to progress to the round of 16, and manager Pep Guardiola should definitely try to get his team to finish in top of group F to avoid playing against strong teams at the round of 16.

Groups and matches to go for sad for maybe Liverpool cuz they are death group after all with PSG and NAPOLI. This is gonna be hard from all of them but they all want to win it.

Some matches i can wait to happen, and this season will bring new winner cuz RM is in group G, and so far no one in history I mean when this group competition started never win CL.

I am excited as well and it is no longer about winning the match or whatever but about Ronaldo returning to Old Trafford. Actually Manchester United wills tand on an equal ground as Juventus. Yes they got Ronaldo on their side but Manchester United is not really a team that anyone would want to underestimate, once they do that then they are wrong on this

Wow, didn't watch that game but Steven Gerrard must be bloody ecstatic... and what a result to get just before the Sunday Old Firm meet. Feel so happy for him, even if I used to fancy the way Celtic played football during the Henrik Larsson era, so hope he gets Rangers some payback!


Loving this romp from the underdogs! I know people don't like Europa League but I've always enjoyed watching it (okay, partially because Liverpool's been plying those routes lately in the past decade haha). I got Bordeaux on as my favourites to win the EL, but I'd love it even better to bet on some of the underdogs every now and then. Good to see Lux team in EL, like it's nice to see Young Boys in CL!


Yeah Porto will be so happy looks like an easy pass, but please let's not meet them if we go to Round 16. I really really want to still meet Real, although if Roma and CSKA dump them out it'll be just as good.

We didn't get what we wanted, did we? But I don't mind sinking teeth into PSG. Both teams won't defend so it'll be a beauty to watch. And oh to meet Napoli the season after Pepe Reina moves? Would have loved a reunion but looking forward to the games. Our group looks very exciting - I don't know much about Red Star but they don't seem to be pushovers.

City also will like their chances for them to win on paper.

I'm really excited to see Ronaldo return back to Old Trafford how I wish he had returned back to the club, but his mere presence will surely excite all fans. If the current Manchester United defenders continue to perform like this, I'm sure Juventus will hammer us 5 -10 nil. Another match that'll be keenly contested is PSG vs Liverpool though it'll be billed as Neymar vs Salah. Juventus and PSG will be under tremendous pressure to win it, as they have spend massively on their players and not winning the league means sacking of their managers.
