Don"say Real is weaker .Did you see Asensio how he was playing against Croatia
Real still has great team and best midfielders of the world
I see nice wins Liverpool against PSG and battle between PSG and Napoli for second place
If Buffon wants to win  CL that PSG was  not best decision

Of course Real are weaker without Ronaldo, he always scored important goals in the knock out stages to get them through. I don’t think anybody can deny the fact that Real are weaker without him.

Yep...  Ronaldo gives his team mates that psychological boost in the most critical moments.  It's his confidence.  It prolly rubs on the whole team whenever he's around.  Ibra is another player that I think has the same effect.

Ronaldo's greatest achievement would prolly be taking an inferior Portugal squad to the Euro 2016 final and winning it vs France.

I know, right Grin
Check his CL goalscoring stats per season. Of course they’ll be weaker without him Cheesy

Anyone betting on over 2.5 goals for Inter Milan Vs Tottenham match? Tottenham defense is leaky but they have always scored in every Premier League game. Inter Milan suffered a shock loss to Parma despite having a 11 shots on target for that game. This game has a high chance of turning into a high scoring game when both teams defense are weak and I am quite confident that both teams will score today.

Yeah group F looks like something from the EL. I’ve got 2 tickets for LFC vs Red Star & LFC vs Napoli. Disappointed not to be going to the PSG game but I wasn’t able to get tickets. A tout I know was charging £250 per ticket for PSG at Anfield, I paid that last season for the Man City 1/4 final 1st leg. I’m not paying way over the odds for a group stage game.

Will be in front of the TV Tuesday night instead, no problem though.

Brother, I would love to contribute something to you if you could get a banner out there for us Bitcointalk supporters, since you're probably the only one who can attend. I paid exorbitant prices for the only game I ever attended at Anfield and it was only a EL semifinal. I'll of course apply to finals once they're open in March, and I can see advance touts pricing them at EUR 2.5k. Like who the hell can afford anything.

Was hoping we'd get a Dutch team so I can watch their away games but then we dropped to Pot 3. Torn between hoping maybe they advance and get drawn with the Reds for Last 16 or even QF, or that we get drawn with bigger names = more exciting games.

PSG's manager probably still has nightmares from the last Anfield visit, so he'll be tightening up at the back. I got a good feeling we're raring to go tonight though. Everyone is relishing this game.

Massive game tonight - Liverpool vs PSG
As a lot of you guys know I’m a massive LFC fan, heart says LFC win 3-1, head says both teams to score in a draw.
Will be a game full of attacking play though - Mane, Salah & Firmino vs Cavani, Mbappe & Neymar. Could be lots of goals.

Van Dijk will be key tonight, the guy is a monster.

Heart already put down 3-0, head says it will be good to come away with 2-0 or even 2-1. Hope Milner's ironed his shirt tonight.

We paid £3,000 for 2 tickets to the final in Kiev last season. I have a contact to get normal match tickets for approx double of the rate the club sells them for so around £100 each for a Premier League game. This guy I got his number off a ticketing site over 10 years ago. He has multiple tickets to every game home & away. If you are ever wanting to go I can pass on his mobile number.

Finally, the Champions League is back, and what a way to start the season with some really good games tonight.

Liverpool vs PSG: with such great trios in the attack from both sides, it'll come down to whoever has a solid defence, in that regard, PSG have much more experience than Pool's, but I wouldn't underestimate the last CL finalist. Liverpool win @2.06

Inter vs Tottenham: Inter have had a terrible start of the season in Serie A, 1 win 1 draw 2 losses, and they've played against some really weak sides. Poch's team arent't doing that good either in EPL, they've suffered two losses in a row...But I believe Spurs is the better team (with a better coach like Pochettino who knows how to play these CL matches), I can see them getting at least a draw tonight. It's woth mentioning that Inter have discarded Lautaro Martinez for this game due to an injury, while Lloris and Dele Alli will miss the game with Spurs tonight due to injuries too. BTTS @1.68

Barcelona vs PSV: a lot of hype around this game, not sure why. There's not much to analyze, this should be an easy win for Messi's team. Under 3.5 goals @2.20

Can't wait for this one, it should be absolute delight to watch. I played both to score and over 2.5 goals and expect it to pass easily.

It was time for Champions League to start, I was starting to seriously miss those evening games during last few months. International football is nice but CL always has a special place in my heart.

Well today is the day. Cl is starting anyone want to predict who will win this years CL and EL maybe. I have some candidates but this year will be hard to guess. Only one is certain RM wont win this time and Barca as well. This time none of Spanish clubs will win it. Maybe this year could be finally for PSG or Juve. Dont want to rush but think it could be present surprise at the end.
Why do you think that Spanish team will not win this year? As aleays, Barca is is one of contenders to win a tittle, I don't even talk about Real, yeah they lost Ronaldo, but I don't think that we can understimate them. Also, PSG, Man City, Bayern, Liverpool and Juve are strong. Well, I hope that Real dominance will end and Catalan team will win finally after few bad seasons Cheesy
About Europa league I will mention Chelsea, Arsenal, Sevilla and some times which come from Cl group stage 3rd place.

What about English clubs? Don't discount them. Liverpool got to the final last year and it could have been a different game if Salah hadn't gone off injured very early. I think it's too hard to predict who will win the title this year because you don't know what the knock out stages will be like, but Manchester City and Liverpool have the potential to go very far or win it even over big Spanish/Italian clubs.

Too hard to call for both games for me. I think Liverpool may win through home advantage but both teams attacks are very evenly matched in my opinion. I would say spurs are better than Inter, but maybe not enough to beat them on their home turf.

Let's be realistical here. Real Madrid are a great team but losing one of the best players in the world is a huge blow for them regardless of how great the rest of your team is.

I don't think anyone will be underestimating Real Madrid especially in Champions League, yes Ronaldo is gone but they're playing really well without him. If you see Bale and Benzema are scoring goals left and right, in fact they look very strong to me. The match against Liverpool vs Psg is more likely to billed Neymar Vs Salah, this shall be an epic match, and both teams can score many goals.

Real Madrid drew their last game, but as I said above they're far from a one-man team but Ronaldo is definitely the sort of player any team will miss and is that guy that you can rely on to give you that something extra.

Liverpool vs PSG should be great match. I'd love to see Liverpool play Real again at some point and Real vs Juve would also be great.

If anyone wants to join in the Champions League Predictor pool I'm running please sign up here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoinnewscoms-uefa-champions-league-football-preditor-pool-discussion-thread-4919683

It's £25 in btc to join in. All the money will be split between the winners (probably top two or three but depends on how many people sign up before it starts).

Looks like Napoli reps are shitting themselves at the thought of being in a group with PSG & Liverpool Grin

"We are bitter, I will ask for an explanation from UEFA," said De Laurentiis, speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

"Liverpool, Champions League finalists, are put in pot 3? It is a disastrous anomaly’’

I'm actually liking how the groups have fallen. They're all going to have some great games apart from Group D which is shit and Group F which has essentially given Man City a free pass to the next round already.

Champions League this season will be interesting, I think Real Madrid will no longer dominate, it's time for teams from the English and Italian leagues to show off.

I agree. Losing Ronaldo is a huge blow to them. They're obviously not a one-man team and you can't win a tournament like the Champions League without a truly world class squad, but Ronaldo missing is going to hurt them and I think their run of winning the Champions League will come to a stop now. Maybe Juve will triumph this season especially now they have Ronaldo. Or maybe it's time for some English teams to dominate. Liverpool narrowly missed out on it last season and they've only strengthened their squad. Let's not forget Man City who are probably one of the strongest squads in the world right now, and even Spurs. I don't think they'll get close to winning it but it's not out of reach for them and I could see them winning the Premier League within the next five years if they improve their squad, but they're up against very touch competition with Liverpool and City.
