Finally some pride back in the EPL. Well done City. Even if you go out now, you went out fighting unlike some teams. Keep up the good work and don't worry we will join you next season to share the burden. Leicester please don't disappoint tomorrow.

You mean you're still hoping they still have a chance with the current form they're having?  Drawing vs Sevilla away will be welcome surprise imo.  And that's an understatement.  They have been having a very bad season and sticking to Ranieri is a big mistake imho.  They should stop the bleeding by first giving the manager the sack.

Here's a funny thought.  What if Leicester wins the CL and gets relegated from the EPL?  Grin
I don't expect leicester lift the thropy of UCL, but I just want to see them qualify to the next round by beating La Liga representatives. I am more happy if they survive in BPL than as CL champion but gets relegation. Can't waiting for 11 hours again and see the surprise from "The Foxes" and big smile Sir Ranieri.

Man City v Monaco, a very interesting game and both teams attacking each other. 8 goals are created in this match. This probably is one of the best match for Man City play in champions league.
Do not forget monaco scored three goals away. I think they will try as hard as possible while playing in the French

today game is juventus @ porto.
Both teams look great at this point, as they are coming off big winning streaks in their respective leagues. Porto remain just 1 point behind the top spot, while Juventus are still leading the Italian league. This is going to be a very unpredictable match between the two, but Juventus have the experience to not risk too much, so i will take the draw here @2.95.

this match is low goal
two team is good defence, ussualy two team defence priority in stategy, so i think this match very low goal, 0-0, 1-0 , or 1-1
my prediction juventus can win 1-0

TO be honest all cant remember when i saw so many goals in this, 14 goals on two games they seem to be very good mood in scoring i mean all four teams. Great comeback from MNC and ATM went even better didnt expect them to score so much but im glad at least we enjoy watching.

Porto - Juventus, great match former winners of this competition expect tough match with maybe 2-4 goals here i will go for HT draw only
Sevilla - Leicester, for this match dont know what to expect but will go for bold one cuz Leicester showen that they can play this win for them

It was a great comeback from manchester city as I thought they are done especially after losing 1-2 in the first half. The penalty from falcao was a disgrace and I think when he missed the penalty, the whole team morale is affected by him and if he had score that penalty then they probably could still stand a chance

What a great game that ended up being between Man City and Monaco, when I posted here when it was a draw at 2-2 with 30 minuets to go I never though it would end with the score line it did 5-3 with Man City winning. That would have to be the best game I've seen all season in all competitions. The 2ng leg is going to be great if it's anything like this 1st leg, but I have a feeling City will try and defend their 2 goal lead.

Typical Leverkusen to play well but lose embarrassingly. That being said Atletico got a penalty for a foul that occurred outside the box and no PK was given when Hernandez was elbowed in the face in the area. Leverkusen showed great fight to not give up and were very dangerous in attack. Should've been a closer game and would have made for a better second leg.

With refs like this I wonder how people invest money in the sport.
We need to be able to issue a red card on the spot to refs performance like this.
Bring the forth official in and remove the other from the field.

This was way closer than it should have been, considering that City were at home and are the much richer club. In the first half both teams had chances but Monaco looked more dangerous, before and after the first goal. Particularly on the counter, they showed their technical superiority, although their decision making was poor at times and they were needlessly offside a couple of times. Really exciting side.

The first goal, though, was absolutely massive from Sane, he handed it on a silver platter for Sterling to do the tap-in. He was running circles around Monaco's players much like they have been doing with City players for most of the first half, nutmegging de Bruyne and Yaya left and right in their own stadium.

Premier League fans love Aguero for his gamesmanship, but I fear he went to far this time, and in continental football this admiration isn't completely shared. Instead you are booked for diving.

Falcao's diving header though was a rocket.

Word on the street is, Falcao, honouring the 60th birth day of a late Austrian musician, composed a soundtrack "Citeh" for the night, fitting the way he r*ped City's defenders at times

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRM5zEYB8J0

Citeh, quit livin' on dreams! Citeh, life is not what it seems!

In the run up to the goal Guardiola was hurtfully reminded that there's no Manuel Neuer or Jerome Boateng in this team. Instead you have the worse of two mendis - other Mendi, or Otamendi and instead of Falcao, you have another Wiener: Willy.

And sure enough, Otamendi was quickly found out for the second goal [who was it recently who said Otamendi is not overpriced at 45M? Worst player on the pitch tonight.]. By that time Monaco had figured out that it is worth taking chances and trying to pick out passes into Otamendi's back - and continued just after the break. The penalty must have been the first time in human memory that you could hear fans chanting in the Emptihad on TV and they were quickly rewarded with the penalty save. Maybe it's something they will consider doing again in future games? I mean, the whole supporting your team business.

You have to say City can't complain about being unlucky. Saving the weak Penalty, then the howler by Subasic for Aguero's goal. They had a lot going for them tonight.

It's inevitable to reminisce Falcao's song at that point, the way he fooled City's defenders on the counter to chip the ball over Willy, you'd not hesitate to call Special Victims Unit.

Otamendi was traumatized by then, 65th minute he's dealt a simple horizontal pass and delivers a pass reception that would qualify him for England's squad in their next game against Iceland. Again his pricetag is inexplicably 45M - cost more than Hummels - and is shaken by an R16 game.

By the end Monaco couldn't really have afforded another yellow without getting a player sent off and their defending became extremely lacking. I think they would have taken a 5-3 before the game though, although 4-3 would have been a lot nicer and very possible with more discipline (even better than that).

Credit to Sane for his maturity at young age, coming in to perform in a CL knockout game, which most of the expensive signings at this club failed to do in the last 5 years. The boy has character.

You can't compete for the Champions League with a defence consisting of Sagna, Stones (despite his goal), Fernandinho, Otamendi, Zabaleta and Yaya (DMF). Add Willy in goal and it's an accident waiting to happen. Especially away from home. Guardiola has a lot of work in the summer window. For Monaco it's not really important whether they won the game or not, but they scored 3 goals away which gives them a good position for the return leg, although being two behind makes them underdogs for going through again, but still very possible, 55-45. Not sure how the bookies were underestimating Monaco like that.

Great game of football once again, and Leverkusen's game wasn't too shabby either. I wouldn't have thought that you could have a game end 2-4 after 90 minutes with Atletico involved. I don't give Leverkusen much of a chance without Calhanoglu though (despite Atletico being "smart" and having a couple of players deliberately get suspended for the return leg.. hopefully that will result in a ban for the quarter final, as I can't see Leverkusen winning by 3 goals).

yeah this game is satisfying to see because both teams were playing amazing and it's like what expectex from both teams Monaco scored many goals but Manchester City managed to score more i hoped that the fame ends with 4-3 so it will be more exiting game in the second leg it's a bit difficult for Monaco right now but it's not impossible to pull off also it looks like that Atletico Madrid game was good game too bad they were playing at the same time
OH MY GOD! I just looked at the score. I stopped watching once Monaco went up 3-2 and thought it was going to be Monaco's day but I was wrong. Time to go check out the highlights now. Its unbelievable that Man City managed to score 3 goals in less than 20 mins.

It was an unbelievable and spectacular match! 8 goals scored but they could be many more.
Delicious the goal of Falcao, horrible instead arbitrage that made many mistakes.
I am convinced that in the second leg we will still have many goals.

Glad I put both teams to score in the Man City game and even the over 2.5 goals was a good bet as the current score is 2-2. Man City need to win this game so they will be looking for a winner now that they just scored their second goal. Atletico Madrid look like they will win currently 3-1 up with 25 minutes to go. The exciting game is the Man City game to see if they can score a winner.
