I became curious, whether the second leg semi-final match later AS Roma able to 'come back' again as they against Barcelona? Liverpool are a team that has a strong mentality and have a good reputation when competing at UCL, not easy for AS Roma reverse the situation in the second leg later, especially now three attackers from his opponent is in on fire condition.

I highly respect Wenger for everything he has done for football at all. But if your team can't crush opponents in such circumstances, it means you don't manage to do the job well. Surely, Arsenal still has significant chances to advance to the final, but yesterday's match clearly revealed they are far away from top teams today and don't have an instinct of the killer.
Well tbh they are playing well but they are really unlucky on that match, so many chances to make goals but all miss by Oblak. Oblak is playing well on that match, it's sucks though, play against 10 player since 10 minutes but can't even make goals.

OK, maybe you are right in some measure and I was too emotional in both issues about Wenger and an instinct of the killer (I hope, this collocation has the same meaning in English as it is in Russian). But missing so great number of opportunities to score is not only about unluck and Oblak's performance, it's also connected to attacking players' skill and their ability to turn the pressure into a real advantage. It's essential for Arsenal to not repeat such infographics next week

If you fancy an English cup double (so Arsenal to beat Atletico and win the final and Liverpool to do the same) you can get 15/1!

Jan Oblak was fantastic for Atletico yesterday. What a great display of goalkeeping from him. Arsenal could have won the match but Oblak denied quite some shots. I think Wenger knows very well that Arsenal will have a really hard time in Spain and will most likely not go to the final.

Always, always hard to say. I think the sending offs were another example of poor refereeing I've seen this season's edition of CL and Europa, and that forced Athleti to work really hard - that draw and away goal were massive results but could work either way for/against them. If they maintain that psychological edge and match it with energy, then the final is very much theirs. But Arsenal are typically the type of team that shows up one side and disappears the next. This time they were anonymous in the first leg, so I'm thinking they'll turn up for the return leg.

I suspect the bookie odds on them to progress will only go up so I'll wait a week before putting my bets on them. Should be really tasty odds.

Yeah I think if you are going to bet on Arsenal you should better wait till the match day as I guess lots of people will be pounding that Atletico line and Arsenal odds will definitely go up quite a lot in the final hours before the game. Come to think of it, you may be right on that one. This will be the last chance for Arsene Wenger to win a major competition with Arsenal and they might buckle up and make a comeback for their boss before he leaves.

Yes stupidity from Arsenal. Plenty of chances to score one or two more which would have put them in a commanding position but sloppy defending late on allows them to level. Tough for Wenger's team to progress now but not impossible. Obviously I'm biased but it would have been nice to see two English teams in both European finals.  Grin
It will be a difficult game for Arsenal when they play at Atletico Madrid next week. It's hard to say Atletico Madrid is a very strong team playing at home.

I think like that, it will be difficult for Arsenal to qualify for the Final party. And it will be a painful parting for Arsene Wanger. 80 minutes against 10 player will be a questionable evaluation to Arsene Wanger.

Atletico Madrid at least take home 1 goal away. Away goals are worthwhile even though only one. in the second leg later Atletico just need to play safe, 0-0 was enough for them. And Arsenal have to play it out, now or never.

Klopp knows how to play against Real
Klopp played against a very different Real Madrid when he was in Germany. I don't think he knows how to play against this Real Madrid.

Edited: Nevermind. Greizmann just scored with 8 minutes left. People are mad at Wenger again. Roll Eyes
People should be mad at the players, they were playing vs 10 men for almost the entire match, they had 72% ball possesion, 24 shots in total, and they only managed to score 1 goal!...and the way they conceded that goal was just laughable (Monreal in another dimension playing Griezman onside, Koscielny being Koscielny, and Mustafi slipping over.)

I honestly don't see Arsenal advancing to the final.

I won some money yesterday as I bet Real Madrid to win. I saw the game with some friends and I know it was a lucky win because Bayern had more chances.

For tonight I am playing the winning amount from yesterday and I will bet it on Arsenal to win.
If you bet on Arsenal before the game started then you have some good winnings coming to you as they were 2.57x going against Atletico Madrid today.
They are up 1 - 0 but A.M has been playing with 10 men minus their manager on the pitch from the early stages of the first 10 minutes of the match.
I had them 2.67x odds to win but it was on a parlay that lost because I put 5 games on that betslip. Embarrassed

Yay my bet on Real +0.5 went through  Grin I thought the match was going to end in a tie 1-1 or something but Real managed to get the win in Munich. The odds for Real winning were 3.5 before the match. I was kinda surprised they won to be honest haha. I guess the final is shaping up to be Real - Liverpool unless something crazy happens in the 2nd leg  Cool

I played draw no bet on Real at odds 2,7. I decided to put the bet few minutes before game started after seeing that Bayern is missing Vidal & Alaba. Was rather confident Real isn't loosing this one but didn't have the balls to play straight win since it was for nice stake. It was a good game and it could have ended differently if Ribery had a bit more luck in one of his forays on the left flank.

really a big loss after Bayern lost robben and boateng, especially real madrid have a good mentality although left behind first, and in the end comeback. this will be difficult for Bayern when away to real madrid, and we can guess the final match between real madrid vs liverpool. and madrid will be the champions Cheesy

Nothing has ended yet but to many injurys in Bayern team
Rafinha is tragic real was playing nothing special
first half could be 2-0 Bayern

Klopp knows how to play against Real

LFC Bayern 2-0 half time  3-2 LFC end of game

Tonight's Europa game between Arsenal and Atletico is a tricky one to predict. If Wenger's team turn on the style, they can win this however Simeone's team don't concede many (and at times they don't score many either). I won't be betting on this game as no markets stand out for me but I expect an Arsenal victory which will make the second leg very interesting.

The other Semi-Final - I can see goals here and predict BTTS (priced at 4/6).

The champions league went on expected lines, had believed Liverpool would blast Roma at anfield and that happened I know Roma has done it in two times already turning a 3 goal deficit but when City could not do I don't think they'll over come it.

Real Madrid were already in the finals even before the match started, just my gut feeling they just win in Champions league and it'll be crazy to see how they perform against Liverpool.

I don't expect anything silly to happen in the second leg.
I'm pretty sure the Real madrid players have learned a great lesson after that pathetic performance at home vs Juventus. They need to play the next match as though it were 0-0 in the first leg.

Arsenal - Atletico, I'm going with over 2.5 goals and BTTS.

that's right, I worried like when against juventus at bernabeu they lose 3 goals. Bayern munich are very possible doing the same thing as juventus at bernabeu, as it may be in the second leg bayern munich will play more of a stickler with full force. but true what you said, real madrid will have learned from that experience, and they have a very strong mentally to be champions, because they always qualify for the final and be champion. Maybe this year will be the defending champion as much as 3 times, and it's amazing.

Marseille vs red bull and Arsenal vs Atletico Madrid both semi final game will go over 2.5 goals, but in arsenal vs atletico game first half draw may happen as atletico game is always very less goal happens.

Almost put a bet on Bayern last night and but for a couple of glaring misses from Lewandowski, might have regretted missing out. Still can't count them out, though, even if it looks like the stage is all set for a showdown between Champions League royalty.

No bets for me tonight. Keep losing in Europa and don't want to jinx my team til the finals.
