Arsenal on the verge of pulling off an all time low dating back from 1977 might have just saved themselves with an unthinkable 2-0 lead at half-time in Italy. It is very strange to have seen the gunners struggle against Brighton with Aubameyang and leading Milan 2-0 without Auba. None the less, this looks like a straight up, guaranteed quarter final entry for Arsenal this time as it looks highly unlikely that Milan can overturn the deficit.

Arsenal still doesn't know how to properly use Aubameyang. They need to start playing more trough balls, so he can race defenders. They are not using his speed at the moment and that is his outstanding quality.

Barcelona will face chelsea leg 2 later most likely without midfielder Andres Iniesta due to a hamstring injury, I am a fan of barcelona and hope to win the game against chelsea later with a score of 2-1 on Cam Nou 14 maret 2018. without Andrea Iniesta I hope no effect on the match later because the player is a unique and accurate barcelona barcelona and it will make barcelona feel difficult.  Cry
.

Iniesta is Barcelona legend and phenomenal player but this whole season he is not playing at his usually high levels. In my opinion they will miss Coutihno more because they need players which use the space Messi is opening just by standing on the pitch. That's why Paulihno has such a good season, he just runs into the places which open up when opponents double or even triple on Messi.

The surprise of today so far is Dortmund. They have still 30 min to go including extra time but the fact that their odd was 1.4 in the morning and before I placed the bet 30 minutes before the game started the odd was 1.71 strangely. I was a bit suspicious but after I reading through news and predictions sites they haven't played with their best eleven, at least not from the beginning, now they seem to score a goal and maybe they draw the game. Other games are going like predicted so far.

I am really feeling sad for Spurs. They played really well yesterday. But They just couldn't score a goal more.Juventus wasn't in the match always but they somehow scored 2 goals which made the difference. So overall it was another stunning match of football.I enjoyed every bit of it.

With the current form of AC Milan, I believe that they are in total control of today's game and i know that they are going to win this game outright especially since their best player and striker Aubameyang is not playing this game.

1/4 finalists so far confirmed -

Real Madrid
Liverpool
Man City
Juventus
You forgot Bayern and Barcelona  Roll Eyes

Barcelona are at 1-1 with Chelsea - By no means through
Bayern - Technically through but not official yet

uhmm, I was just trying to be funny (it's Barcelona, and Bayern won 5-0), but ok.

One has to feel bad for Spurs they came so close, like almost made it only to miss out. Juventus were class and deserved the match. Liverpool is back in CL after quite a while interesting to see if they go ahead, City are the favourites but then again no one is guaranteed. Chelsea can spring a surprise it's evenly poised. As a Manchester United fan I really hope we can qualify for the ahead round.
I don't feel bad for them, the Champions League doesn't need newcomers that don't know how to close out a game.

Europa League today:

Milan - Arsenal ~ Over 2.5 Goals @1.91
Marseille - Athletic Bilbao ~ Over 2.5 Goals @2.05

That was a great football match, and to the surprise of no one, Juventus advances to the next round. The big difference were the subs, Allegri realizes (after 60min and 1 goal down) that the 3 cb plan wasn't working, Lichtsteiner (game changer) and Asamoah came in and the whole tactical plan took a 180° turn for the better. Higuain scored, games is 1-1 and anxiety kicked in, Davinson Sanchez and Ben Davies made some horrendous amateur mistakes, and the experience of Higuan/Dybala took advantage of it. Game was 1-2 but, knowing how the italians (specially Juventus) defend to get the result they need, we all knew it was over for Tottenham.

Spurs played really good today, however, it takes a little more than that to get a good result in these kind of decisive CL matches, specially against a top club. And I'm having a hard time deciding whether Son was the MVP or Chiellini.

I really don't feel sorry for them at all, They had a very glorious opportunity and they managed to even screw up in ways that that i didn't even imagine am sure that when they had the first goal, they thought that was it and that they were going to easily overcome the Old Ladies. They became complacent and paid the price for it.

Nice!  I'm a little sad about the Spurs going out, when they already (almost) had one foot in the quarters.  But seeing Juve progress, who can complain...

That's one more club I'd like to see play against.
Looks like we would only see two premier league clubs through the 1/4 final , considering Chelsea are hopeless away from home. I would like to see man city against Real Madrid at this stage , and maybe a new champion could born then.

Manchester City wins for suuuure tonight. Tottenham vs Juve is going to be a tough match, maybe even boring to watch, but I'd bet on Juventus to win or to score, something like that. Wink
That is what most thought but Manchester City can play in the EPL that way and expect to win but not in this one where they are not use to playing these teams as they are with their Premier league teams they see every other weekend it seems.
That was pure experience from Juve side yesterday. They had 2 big chances and converted both of them. That is how champions win even when they are not playing that well. Tottenham had their chances in the first half. Son could/should have scored at least one more goal and finish the game before Juve started playing.

Nothing new here, spurs did a spursy. They are perennial bottlers and I guess Rachel was right.

Yep pretty much this. I would say they are not as bad as Arsenal though  Grin
They are no match for AC Milan.
Expect Wenger to get his arse handed to him in Italy.
They certainly will not let them just walk in a beat them after having the World cup taken from them already in Russia this coming summer.

Precisely. They really had Buffon to thank for making so many crucial saves, and then showed Spurs what it means to have vintage quality and Champions League pedigree by making and taking 2 chances. Very happy to win my @2.95 bet on Juve, I counted on a slim win, but Spurs really gave it their best. Just you know that they don't quite have the blood in them. Chiellini said so after the match, that they were mentally fragile.

I'm a Liverpool fan and know myself how often they undo themselves. We've been away from CL for far too long, so it'll be really important to maintain our form... the QF experience should do a lot to add steel to the young players.

^  Once the draw for the quarter finals is over those odds will change imo.  And as is, I still can't believe that City is the favorite...  But that would mean Real, Barca and Bayern have a bit of value in the CL futures betting.

I agree tokeweed, for example Barcelona’s odds to win it (assuming they qualify) will get a lot smaller. The only reason you can still get a good price on them is because at 1-1 with Chelsea they could still go out.

My dream is for Liverpool to win it but I’m not stupid, I know we’d need a LOT of luck.
