One petrodollar club down, one to go. Anyone else surprised that Emery is still the PSG manager? I was looking forward to reading the news about Al-Khelaïfi sacking Unay Emery, I guess the announcement will be made at the end of the season.

when things went wrong like they lose another important points they would rest key players for champions league and the odds for Real Madrid to win CL itself getting lower now.
I think Real madrid has made it pretty clear that their main objective right now is the CL, just look at how Zidane has been rotating players in the La Liga so they can be rested for the CL matches.

I’d rather play Juventus than Spurs.
Bold statement. So you'd rather play against a 2 times Champions League winner (and recent 16/17 CL finalist), a top club that is used to play these kind of  matches with the likes of Buffon, Chiellini, Khedira, Dybala, Higuain, than Tottenham? ok.

I’m a Liverpool fan & Tottenham have beaten us 4-0 & drawn 2-2 this season. Juventus play in a much slower paced league & I think they’d struggle against Mane, Firmino & Salah.
To be fair, Liverpool's defense isn't that great (most goals conceded in the EPL top 6). And I don't know if Juventus would struggle against those three, they're used to face world class players in the Champions League (they've reached 2 finals over the last 3 years)...I guess I value experience over current form.

Also, I don't think Jurgen Klopp wants to face Juventus again, last time he did was back in the 14/15 CL when he was still in Germany, Borussia Dortmund were knocked out of the CL by Juve with a 5-1 aggregate score...the nightmares.

Superb game from Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo as well who upon everything managed to secure a goal of his own for Real Madrid, it seems PSG are going to have to go to the drawing board and prepare for next season.
Even though Real Madrid is already been eliminated in the Copa Del Rey, and have a big points gap in the La Liga. We can't deny Real Madrid is still a strong team in Europe. The teams could have a strong positive mental boost because UEFA championship is the only championship that Madrid could bring it back to home.
If Real Madrid see the chance to chase Barcelona at the top of league still reasonable , they would do fight for both champions league and la Liga. But then when things went wrong like they lose another important points they would rest key players for champions league and the odds for Real Madrid to win CL itself getting lower now.

Another premature emilination for the Psg despite over 400M spent this summer!
Cr7 confirms to be the most decisive player in the champion's league (he has scored at least 1 goal in the last 9 matches played in the champion's).
Real Madrid is definitely among the favorites.

Well, I was slightly disappointed by the scoreless draw at Anfield. Can't remember the last time we played the first half without forcing a save or block on target. I know, we should be celebrating our first QF appearance at Champions League since 2009... man that does feel good. But perhaps it's good to see Klopp finally do the rational thing by resting the key players for good old Mourinho.

Tonight, I just have one bet: I'll back the Old Lady to win the game tonight... but the ML odds @2.48 are not as good as backing them to progress @2.95! So here's Higuain for a solitary goal before they shut the game out!

Yeah it was a boring game but the job was done in the 1st leg, you could tell the normal intensity wasn’t there to press their defenders high up the pitch. At least Mo & Van Dijk will be fresh for the Man Utd game. Firmino only llayed an hour too.

I hope you’re right & Juve go through tonight, I don’t fear Spurs as a potential 1/4 final opponent but I’d rather play Juventus than Spurs.

Yes, the match between Liverpool against FC Porto is a boring game. That's because the aggregate in the first leg was so wide. And regarding the match tonight between Tottenham against Juventus I think and I hope it will be more interesting. I prefer to wait until the first half finish to start making a decision on what event I will bet on.

A tactical football lesson is what Real gave to PSG yesterday. I did believe that PSG didn't stand any chance without Neymar but I was indeed surprised to watch Real totally outplaying PSG in two matches, especially since Real was in a really bad form prior to the first fixture and PSG basically bought a team just for the purpose playing in Champions league.

I was however glad to see, once again, that the quickly assembled team by means of spending too much money (in most of the cases) cannot outplay the team that is playing together for many years without changing too much (and only refreshing what is necessary). Real showed this even whilst two of their most important players were missing, still recovering from recent injuries (Modrić and Kroos).

I watched only the first half of the second game, but it was not necessary to watch the whole game to see what will happen.
Cavani was too nervous, Mbappe and Di Maria (especially Di Maria) totally cut out by Real defenders, Alves and Berchiche very rarely forward in good positions to make a cross and, except Marco Veratti, PSG midfielders didn't account for much. It is now obvious that the double block on the sides (Asensio+Marcelo and Vazquez+Carvajal) was enough to blunt PSG's most dangerous attacking players + the help of Kovačić & Casemiro and Varane & Ramos to clear the rest of the trouble.

What was necessary was for PSG midfielders to play much more aggressive and direct towards Real's goal (and Diarra, Draxler and Pastore were a much better choice for that then Motta and Rabiot, later substitutions were too late in a tactically lost game.....). That would give Alves, Di Maria and Mbappe, and consequently Cavani, much more space. It is not that Real was unbeatable, they just played a great defensive football with plenty of skill and automatic movements and passes (years and of playing together give you that) to be easily out of (not very hard) PSG pressing and into scoring chances. I was also glad to observe that during the last 4-5 years Real finally learned something from their greatest rival Barcelona and it brought them many titles...... Barcelona relayed on their school while Real was buying a lot in the past, and it brought Barcelona many titles.

I was also surprised to watch Zidane tactically crashing Umery, since I considered Umery a much better and more experienced coach. Kudos Zidane!

Very awesome game from Real Madrid that can beat PSG in parc des princes. Although before, PSG fans (Utras PSG) came to the hotel where Real Madrid stay to give terror. But the incident even made the game Real Madrid especially Cristiano Ronaldo give a very good game, Ronaldo managed to give one goal and one assist. So in the last 16 of the Champions league who are entitled to advance to the next round of new 2 teams, That's Real Madrid and Liverpool.

PSG eliminated from Champions league very early second season in the row. Owner of the team can't be happy about results after he spent unbeleavable amount of money to buy players. I can't imagine that Unai Emery will stay on the team for the next season, no matter he will win trophies in France or not. Local trophies can't satisfy their ambitions. I think it will be another huge summer in PSG. Maybe they will try to buy Griezmann???

Liverpool - Porto is clearly both teams to score, maybe even 3+. On the other hand PSG without Neymar are playing bad without him, so Real Madrid to win. Really sad about PSG but that is life what can you do. Undecided

Some big games will be presented a few days to come at UCL that is between PSG vs Real Madrid and Tottenham vs. Juventus. I will start betting and focus in those two matches by placing a bet on the outcome of the two matches will be on top of the 2 goals as each competing team should get two more goals to qualify for the next round.
PSG have to win at least 2 goals in this match and this is will be difficult but i think both teams to score is good for Madrid and PSG because i'm pretty sure they will attempts to makes goals first and for second match i think Tottenham has slightly benefited by playing as host team and Juventus have to win if they want to go to quarterfinal matches
I think PSG will push hard in this game they  are still in a good form even without Neymar and will try to attack from first minute to the last even with their Brazilian star is out of the team they still got great and lots of quality attacking players as options to choose from with the like  of Mbappe Draxler Di Maria to choose from to play against Real Madrid . While the Spanish side is also have stars on his own that are very effective in attack in and they know that this Competition is their only way for silverware this season so i think we will see another exiting game with over 3.5 goals is expected.
Maybe Neymar being injured will turn out to be a blessing in disguise for PSG because in the first leg of the game there were many instances where he could have passed the ball and it could have resulted in a goal but he choose to try and score himself and nothing good came out of it.
Any honest Real Madrid supporter will tell you the absence of Neymar cuts out a huge load of work for Madrid but teamwork can always make the difference and if PSG fans rally behind its team they might turn tables around and win but the number of goals is whats key in todays match, may the best team win.
Agree. Neymar is very important player for final outcome of this match. Real could score one goal by individual quality of a single player at any moment, especially Ronaldo could do such a thing and that is what PSG have to be worried about. To score three goals should be their main task tonight, any less should be dangerous for their ambitions of qualifying into the next round.
From the other side, PSG played much better in Madrid than Real( by my opinion) and playing in front of their fans could give them great boost, maybe they could make surprise tonight.

Tottenham vs Juventus I think will be the best game of the week. A draw in the first leg (2-2) is certainly the result that still provides an opportunity for both to compete. This means Juventus have to win the game if they want to qualify for the next round while Tottenham certainly will not let Juventus steal their big chances.

All tottenham have to do is to break juventus's formation like they did in the first match. If they could do it in the first game then they should be able to win in wembley stadium. Google vote pool show that most people still favour juventus to advance the next stage despite that pochettino and hary kane has shown good performance in the local league
I don't really think that Juventus have any chance of advancing to the next stage of the competition especially when they have their man striker sidelined and though i know that Paulo Dybala is also a formidable player and is very dangerous i don't think that they can still qualify, I know Hotspurs are going to win and qualify outright.
I really hope that Tottenham will choose right tactic for this match. They should go on win tonight, to play like there wasn't first match at all. Draw could be very dangerous result, one good counter attack or one misfortune situation could result losing the game. However, Hotspur showed that they know how to play on big stage with the biggest clubs and they really have great chance to enter the 'best eight teams of the season' club.
