How is that book doing?
They asked for more money..Well that's.. unorthodox I guess? Why and on what basis? Usually if some fee is agreed, it's agreed. I think asking for more money afterward is BS, but maybe here's something I don't know. Just asking/saying!
no you are correct, they didn't ask for more money in terms of total sum, they just asked
for more in terms of the money collected at this time. Because they liked to pay some things.
thats pretty ok,
but if i jump in i like to be able to know, how much they collected so far
so i think everything is fine and just a matter of negotiation

and here is an exerpt of our conversation:
Please say if you and the community are still keen on Crypto Books completing the ERC book. We have been quite busy working on a book about Ethereum. Other books will be published alongside the Ethereum book. It is our objective to have the Ethereum book as a template (presentation, format, content etc.) for all other books.
We have already researched masses of facts/info about ERC since its inception. Have you been able to raise further funds towards helping us get the book finished?

Yes, we certainly we still planning to publish a book on Europecoin. At the moment, all efforts are being put into the Ethereum book.
In particular, my personal circumstances this month have been demanding to say the least.
Europecoin, Sativacoin, Monero, Diamond are all books still in progress.
I remember 0.17 BTC has been raised so far.

I just talked to one of our new developers, "Jon" and we will launch our first app, the EUROPECOIN CLOUD Wallet,
within the next four weeks.
 | Wile this is ongoing, we are already working on the AppStore, that will also provide a Developer Center and an App-Builder Tool to speed up the software creation process, expected to be ready in four weeks at launch of our first Europecoin Cloud App. Goal is to be the first Coin, to provide a full featured finance cloud dashboard and application API at the time, Coinstorm launches. Given the partnerships and the resources, we collected over the last six month, this is exactly what we will accomplish. |

PR and a better Name would help.
Lots of People will skip on it just because they will think its limited to Europe or for not liking the EU at all.
So a rebrand to a better Name is something for the future List imo.
Branding is a strong Thing of the overall Concept and i dig the Concept a lot but i think that renaming the Coin would also help a lot.
Just my Opinion.

I would have been unsure, a year ago.
You are right, if i would do it again, it would have been a much easier start.
But we did it in the hard way and we managed to do that.
We are experiencing most of the growth in countries like USA, Africa, China and Russia,
because we are one of the best options, to send money from outside the EU via SEPA without having a bank account.
We survived two Bitcoin runs and we are on the rise, as a result of hard work.
So your idea wouldn't have been wrong two years ago.
Today, though we had no starter bonus at all, we are doing fine.
We are progressing steady and unstoppable and there are plenty of people,
who consider EUROPECOIN as a Brand.
For them, it stands for
- a crew, that keeps up for more than two years
- an ever evolving concept towards real usability
- a proven commitment to values, like freedom, decentralization
- a crew, that understands networking and represents one of the most successful and trusted altcoin networks
The network behind this coin shares power and resources across countless projects. (BSD,DMD,ERC,MAC and many more)

Europecoin Goals and priorities are the same:
Building a networked, user controlled economy around Europecoin.
We are mainly working on our current task: The payment gateway.
While we are waiting for some third party decisions, we are perfecting the ERC environment.

I was aware it would need time (and still will), because we are combining technology with "soft goals".
Which is not only unusual in crypto, but also easy to say, difficult to do and even more difficult to prove this intention.

We have been two Teams. We merged, to join our resources and to grow a network,
Europecoin has been in great trouble, at that time. (forked like hell).
Since then we expanded our team carefully. And we are evolving.
