I can say that it currently looks considerably cheaper then any fury devices that are on the market now so I would hold onto your btc and wait for a great deal!

I guess no indication of timeline for this? 2014?Smiley

Also initial shipping was planned for mid October, so it's actually 'just' 2 weeks late. This is a lot better then any other mining hardware supplier out there! Also you are receiving compensation. Just look at BFL...

Of course it's a shame they didn't come right on time, but these were a pre-order and still needed to be made, it's like with any other project delays can happen and especially if there are factors not in your hand. This is the risk of buying pre-orders and anyone with a bit of a brain should be able to understand this.

Beastlymac, I'm not trying to break your balls here, but it feels like you could have given us more information as it happened. That is the first mention of fabrication problems. Until now it has all been reassurance that everything was in hand. It does seam that this GB has been stuffed as others have got much larger shipments than the 50 coming here. I do feel let down.


I have been told The rest of the groupbuy units will ship Monday and are expected to arrive around Wednesday. So hopefully you guys will recieve the units by the end of the week. Again I am sorry but it isn't something I have control over.

When the 0.05BTC compensation was released I thought OK there trying but now, for us in this GB it seems almost an insult.

I was told by the fabricator the could produce 400 a day clearly they can't. Short from me buying them new machines I can't do anything about that. So it may have been a lie but it wasn't intentional. Those are the dates I was told and I passed them on. We have shipped 70% off the batch to customers and we expect the rest will all be shipped early next week. I am sorry if you feel I have played you on but I have tried to be open with the information I have been given instead off not commenting on it for 3 weeks.

In regards to numbers I think the fabricator was meant to ship 80 but only sent 50 the rest of the batch will ship Monday and I will provide tracking to outcast when I recieve it.

It seems perfectly reasonable to me that Beastlymac may not have exact, precise numbers. He is just one person in a group that's collaborating, and I expect most of them are doing it in their spare time. I doubt that they are all in the same country, let alone in an office where he can just go and ask.

Still, the 'shipping next week' on October 14th seems ill informed.

That is a fair point pete. If when I asked, he had said "I don't know, but I'll try and find out and get back to you." I wouldn't bat an eyelid. When the answer is "I can't say" I get a bad impression.

I'm chilled, I already know I backed the wrong horse here. But something is wrong if they cannot be transparent and tell us how many have shipped. Some of the other group buys have been given that information.

We will start shipping next week. Should see at least 250 shipped out. Once pcbs come from China we can produce 400 a day so the rest of the units should be shipped out the following week.

10 days Chinese holiday turns into a month, and now Beastlymac tells us they haven't shipped them all yet. OK if they had said that before, but they falsely reassured us that they were being manufactured at 400 a day and would be shipped as soon as they were made..... about 3 weeks ago.

I try to stay chilled, but being BS'd doesn't help.

Surely you know how many units you have shipped? Not even an estimate? 400? maybe 300?

Or is the number that you shipped so low, you are not comfortable posting it on the forum?

You may have had a few problems with production but you are now 4 weeks behind. When we made our orders, we were promised the ship date would be the 1st week in October... it is now November and still only a tiny fraction have shipped. The compensation offered did not cover the delay your customers have been made to endure. You decided on the level of compensation before you even know exactly how much time you needed to compensate. You were only 2 weeks behind when you announced the 0.05btc... but wait... if you gave any more compensation, you would be out of pocket... so it is far better you customers lose their money instead, right?

What have you done to compensate your resellers? What have you done to ease the stress they are under dealing with their frustrated customers? The way you have treated them is a disgrace. You can't even reassure them how many units they can expect to receive in their delivery so they can then in turn reassure their customers that their orders will soon arrive and deal with the other customers that will be asked to wait longer. Outcast for example, has an outstanding reputation and is highly trusted within the community. Sure, the majority people know that the delays are not his fault but there will be some that will hesitate before buying from him again in the future. Your mistakes and false promises will have hurt his business, there is no doubt about that.

ROI is a long distant memory now for your customers, a bit of honesty would at least help you retain some credibility within the community.

That was 22nd Oct, now you are telling us you still haven't shipped them all. That is a very poor show.
