You will be pleased to see this picture.. I know I am... thought all my hubs were about to become useless

These are RedFurys in this picture, but I would imagine they are roughly the same size as Blues

**Removed huge sodding picture from a 1 sentence reply quote**

BTC was an innovative fork from an invariantly broken social/economic institution, the digital anthropomorphism of a voice of synergistic reason. All I hear today are the distant echoes of greed and hostility. As awesome as that RedFury setup looks, I must ask – why did you post those photos in this thread?

The same thing could be said about your post Smiley.

Wow, have a few days off from the forums and look at whats happened Tongue.

1st, just putting my hat in the ring on the reselling part.

I have bought the blue's to resell and am not complaining about the delays, all my buyers know that there could/would be a delay, and anyone who accepted this, then wanted a refund later got it within the hour.
Am i going to complain about this? No, because everyone was informed about potential delays, have been kept up to date with new information, and have been given the option to cancel their order at any point.

Even with all this, I am still going to offer the compensation + a bit more to my buyers for the delays. This level of delay wasn't expected by me or anyone else, but giving the people who have waited the longest an "enhanced" refund seems like the best way of doing it.

If you are going to treat your buyers like shit, expect shit in return.

To keep everything open and transparent, I was thinking of posting a list of peoples refund address and username and then allowing 12-24 hours for people to message me if they see anything wrong before I send.

What do you all think? Any objections?
Seems sensible.

I've had 6-7 (maybe more) requests via PM today from people asking that I issue their compensation immediately, because they need it to buy something or want to cash out Huh. Some people have even requested that I send their funds to an address other than the "refund address" they originally specified when they ordered. (you'll have to send a signed message later)
There is very little chance in me the compensation now (today), I'm not at home now until this evening, nor do I think its a good idea to complicate things by issuing the compensation to just a handful of people, but I will begin bundling up a transaction to process them all in one go, shortly.

Please do so. I am one of those who PM'ed you today as I need 1 BTC asap.

Thx.

i think that's a great idea - and you should send the compensation through to the same address you received payment on.

The red heatsinks look very close to the reset switches.

I have seen a picture somewhere of the new Blues, with the heatsink the other way around and shorter, so there is every chance for a better fit.

Very funny to see people complaining about others reselling units to make money when they want to keep their units to make money.

Those complaining about delays, when they're only reselling for profit, should STFU - some of us buy these things to mine with.  Bizarre concept, mining with miners, eh?

I bought some to sell and some to mine with. The ones I sell were intended to mitigate the ROI on the ones I keep to mine with. Only now, I am expecting to lose money on the ones I planned to sell. The only guaranteed way of turning a profit in Bitcoin mining, is by selling the equipment for it.

The people who have decided to resell their Blues have very good reason to complain as in the last 3 weeks, the price of USB/Blade erupters have dropped so low, it has caused a big shift in the market for £/GHs ratio... leaving people that purchased BlueFury's far behind the curve. If you could get the BTC for the Blues you purchased and bought USB erupters instead, you would have almost 3 times the hashing power. Maybe you don't care abotu that fact but people looking to buy mining equipment do and will be more inclined to buy ASICMiner stuff.

There were no rules for buying the Blues, buyers do not HAVE to mine with them. Just because you bought the Blues to mine with does not put in a superior moral position than people who want to sell them.

OC3k - any chance you could throw in a couple of Block Erupters rather than sending the 0.05BTC refund?

Going by the prices, I'd be happy to "Buy a Bluefurry and get a Block Erupter free"

I'm waiting on block erupter stock, fingers crossed it'll arrive at the same time, so I could try to organise this... Probably best you PM me if you want that deal.

I'd rather have the refund, thanks.

I think it's opt-in, rather than opt-out.

Outcast has always said, right from the start, the blues will be sent out in the order of which people paid for them.

First in first out seems the only fair method in this situation.

Agreed, forming an orderly queue and moaning about the weather is what puts the Great into Britain.
