It’s Friday night hockey action at everybet.io, and tonight we’re focusing on the LA Kings trip to the Scotiabank Arena to face the Calgary Flames (21:00 EST).

Where are your hockey lines? I can't seem to find the game (or NHL/any other ice hockey for that matter).

It’s Friday night hockey action at everybet.io, and tonight we’re focusing on the LA Kings trip to the Scotiabank Arena to face the Calgary Flames (21:00 EST).

The Flames have won four of their last six and lead the Pacific division. The Flames won when the they faced the Kings earlier in the month and narrowly lost 4-3 in overtime to the Dallas Stars in their last game. The Flames have been scoring at a rate of 3.36 goals per game.

The Kings are out of form and are conceding goals at an alarming rate. They have conceded 24 goals in their last 5 games and have the joint fewest points in the league. They lost last time out to the Oilers by the odd goal in 5 having battled back from being 2-0 down.

With the Flames in red hot form and the Kings leaking goals then a high scoring affair looks on the cards. Over 5.5 goals in the game was 1.77 but we’ve enhanced this price to 2.00 (max bet 10 mBTC). Can the Flames and Kings put on a high scoring display and start the weekend with a bang?

It’s late night NFL action as the New Orleans Saints travel to the AT&T Stadium to face the Dallas Cowboys (20:20 EST).

The Saints are in fantastic form having won their last ten games in a row and sit 10-1 for the season. They are averaging at over 37 points a game and have won all of their road fixtures this season. Drew Brees has been rolling back the years and putting up huge numbers every week.

The Cowboys are on a three-game winning streak and share top spot in the NFC East with the Washington Redskins. The Cowboys defense have given up the fewest points in the entire NFC, and are letting in less than 20 points a game.

With home field advantage the Cowboys have a great chance to snap the Saints winning streak. They have an even better chance to beat the spread in tonight’s game. The Cowboys +6.5 points was 1.95 but we’ve enhanced this to 2.25 (max bet 10 mBTC). When the NFC’s strongest offense, comes up against the toughest defense something has to give. Which way will tonight’s clash go?

Darkstar, its not completely fair just to take one event pre-live and compare the odds. Lot's of providers like 1xbet, for example push very low margin prices for the top leagues knowing they will come out best price and then for other sports and live they offer very poor value of odds. Also, just showing margin means absolutely nothing unless you show the max limit of the bet the operator is willing to take. Anyone can offer a 2/3% pre-match margin on $10 max bet limits etc. Who cares about getting a 3% margin if you can only get $10 down?

Is it that bad to offer low prices for popular leagues? That's what most people bet on, so I think it's fair to expect good margins on those. Sure, I can add some limit information:

For Utah Jazz to win ML tonight @ 1.6, everybet lets me place 311 mBTC on it to win 186.7 mBTC This is at a 6.94% margin.
On Nitrogen, I have a max win of 2500 mBTC (4030 mBTC wager) on odds @ 1.634 for the same outcome. This is at a 3.7% margin.
BitcoinRush has a 2.62% margin and has no issues taking bets of 500 mBTC+ on NBA once the event is less than 2 hours away from starting.
Cloudbet has a 2.8% margin on Utah to win @ 1.65, with a max bet of 3564 mBTC.

I'm simply pointing out that their margins are not competitive for popular events. Most/all other notable books with lower margins offer higher limits on NBA and likely other major events. None of them offer limits with $10 max bets, and instead up to $15k max bets. Everybet may have better lines for more minor stuff (1.89 evens in Live which is decent), but I've also noticed them being marginally worse than Sportsbet.io for minor events like Handball Champions League.

I agree that it's not completely fair, but these margins seem to be consistent among other popular events (unless they changed in the last few days). What comparison methodology would you suggest that is completely fair?

edit: I'm not asking them to have 2% lines; something like 4% with occasional promotions would be a decent book. I cannot recommened anyway play at a 7% margin book, regardless of limits.

It’s Matchday 5 for groups A-D in the Champions League. There are several critical games, but our attention is on Group C and Liverpool’s trip to face PSG (15:00 EST).

PSG have been breaking records domestically where they have a perfect record of 14 wins from 14 games. They have scored over 3 goals a game and have let in just 7 goals in the league. However, whilst Ligue 1 may be a stroll for them, the Champions League has proved anything but. They currently sit third in the table having won just once in their opening four games. In the reverse fixture at Anfield they fought back from a two-goal deficit only to lose to an injury time goal and defeat tonight would all but end their Champions League campaign.

Liverpool are also unbeaten domestically and have been in good form. They know in their front three of Mane, Salah and Firmino they have an attacking threat that will worry PSG. Although Liverpool sit second in the Group C, they know that if they slip to defeat tonight then their chance for qualification will be in the balance.

Sadio Mane scored 10 times in the Champions League last season in 13 appearances. His pace and skill caused PSG a multitude of problems in the reverse fixture and he knows that a big performance tonight could catapult Liverpool in to the last 16. Sadio Mane to score anytime in the game was 3.05 but we’ve enhanced this to 3.50 (max bet 10 mBTC). Can PSG keep the spring-heeled Senegalese forward at bay or will he be Liverpool’s main man tonight?

It’s a Champions League night at everybet.io with several great games happening across four groups.

The game that’s caught our eye is Real Madrid’s trip to the Stadio Olimpico to face Roma (15:00 EST). Roma and Real Madrid share top spot with both side on nine points but Real edging things on goal difference. However, this is not the all-conquering Real Madrid team we have seen in recent seasons. Domestically Real have been abject at times, they are already on to their second manager of the campaign and got hammered by lowly Eibar 3-0 last time out.

Roma sit 7th in Serie A and have been inconsistent all season. They lost last weekend at Udinese and need to begin to put together some results domestically if they are to be involved in European competition next season. In the Champions League they successfully navigated tricky back to back ties against CSKA Moscow and come into tonight’s home game with their sights set on qualification for the last 16?

Can Roma beat Real Madrid this evening and give themselves every chance of topping the group and a safer passage in the knockout stages? A Roma win was 3.50 but we’ve enhanced this to 4.0 (max bet 10 mBTC). Roma might be underdogs but with top spot up for grabs and Real Madrid misfiring, tonight could be the night for the giallorossi to shine.

There’s Monday night NFL action as the Houston Texans host the Tennessee Titans at the NRG stadium (20:15 EST).

The Titans come in to the game with a 5-5 record having lost last week on the road by twenty-eight points to the Colts. The Titans have struggled on offense this season and are the second lowest scoring side in the AFC. However even with last week’s big loss the Titans have given up the fewest points of any NFL side and are no pushovers.

The Texans top the AFC South with a 7-3 record and will be keen to beat their division rivals, the Titans, to put themselves with clear daylight in the race for the play-offs. Having started the season with three straight losses the Texans have now put together an impressive seven game winning streak.

The Texans are rightful favourites for the game but can they cover the spread? The Texans to win by 3.5pts was 1.85 but is now 2.05 (10 mBTC per customer). Will the Titans be able to hold-em or will it be a comfortable night for the Texans?

Hi Darkstar. I’m not going to list out which operator take bets in which jurisdictions. If you’re in a country where online betting is expressly illegal, then you are probably are aware of the options available to you. Your example of Canada is a perfect example of the difference between a grey market and a black one. Each country’s position regarding online gambling can change (more restrictive, less restrictive, certain types of betting allowed, etc) and we take legal advice where required before offering our services to that market.

It’s not an excuse to not offer 2% lines, although I can see why you would state that. It simply comes down to the cost of acquiring customers. With fewer restrictions and more territories open to a company then their acquisition costs are lower. We want to be able to offer our customers promotions, bonuses, in-play statistics, extremely low minimum bet sizes and a variety of other features that will be coming down the line. These all come at a cost to our business and we don’t want to remove them.

I can appreciate that price is the paramount feature for your analysis. There’s nothing wrong with that and I have looked at competitors through that lense in former roles I have held. However, there are other reasons a customer may choose a site; whether they like the product, the range of markets and bet options, their engagement with customer service, what bonuses and promotions they offer, how they cater to VIPs and so forth. I’m not downplaying price but acknowledging that for many bettors there are other factors they consider. As I stated earlier you will see price changes, and in specific sports we may elect to be extremely competitive, but we won’t be adopting a policy that I feel is a race to the bottom.

When we decided we would run the NBA promotion it was at best price (both across crypto and Fiat sportsbooks). Every enhanced bet is best price at the moment it is added to the site. However, if individual legs of the bet lengthen in the market then it quickly becomes less competitive. That is what I believe occurred here.

There are two things that are currently being considered to solve this. 1) The gap between putting the enhanced bet live and the start of the event is shortened. This will reduce the likelihood of substantial price shifts as a greater volume of the wagering will have been placed. However, the downside of that is customers have less time to get their bets on. 2) We update the enhanced price as the market shifts. This isn’t a small task as it requires several data feeds. Also, I wouldn’t want to shorten an enhanced price if the underlying bet was cut in the market. Both of these options are currently being looked at.

This week I have identified over 500 leagues of football matches that we were covering that will now be removed from the site (don’t worry we still have a substantial three figure number left). In addition to this, a number of other sporting markets have come under analysis and will be addressed. With this work underway, you will see in the coming weeks changes in our pricing policy on several notable sports (football, basketball, NBA and more). This won’t happen overnight, but it is something that is coming.

Great to hear!

We will never attempt to price match sites that take money from illegal markets. I can appreciate that there is a large amount of business to be had there, but that’s not how our company will operate. We won’t be looking to compare ourselves with companies who have an entirely different set of operating guidelines.

What books do you count as taking money from "illegal markets"? What criteria are you using to determine whether a book is worth competing with? Technically you're taking money from illegal markets since you accept Canadian players and it is illegal to accept single pick wagers in Canada. (but the government turns a blind eye, which is why most books including yours accepts Canadian players). This sounds more like an excuse to not offer competitive lines. (which you are in the right to do, but don't lie about it)

The promotion you highlighted (multiple on NBA) is tricky from an operational point of view. We tend to determine our enhanced bet early in the day, or the day before, and there are a number of things that need to be completed to ensure it appears on the site (copy written, traders informed, banners created, etc). We like to give customers some time to place their money on the enhanced bets and once the bets are live any subsequent price moves in the market can go for or against us. It doesn’t take much, particularly in a multiple when several legs change price, to go from your price being best in market to not competitive at all. Again, this is part of the learning curve. We want to offer value and the enhanced bets are simply the first of several features we will offer in the coming weeks

You boosted the parlay by 0.9 odds. You'd be @ 7.08 assuming the same boost, which is below BitcoinRush (Pinnacle lines). Regardless of line movements, it's pretty disappointing that you are unable to beat a ~2.57% margin with a promotion.

Hi Darkstar. It’s been a busy few days in the office and I wanted to let you know your comments have been taken on board.

I thought it was worthwhile giving a little bit of background. We’re a new business (it’s been two months since we ‘soft’ launched the site) and although our team has a lot of experience, we’re still learning on a daily basis. We are going to try certain things; markets, promotions, sports, products, etc., some of which will work and others which will not.

I have always been keen for the site to be competitive price-wise and I appreciate in a number of areas, on pure price, there are other options that you currently might look to. Several of our team, myself included, are passionate about betting and sports. We all enjoy betting on different sports and trying to find a winner, it’s a fantastic form of entertainment and we want to offer a platform for our customers to do that.

From an operations perspective, we have simply been carrying too many markets. The reason I highlight this is that when you are trying to work out pricing and margin across such a multitude of sports and markets you need to be careful with price as you will undoubtedly get picked off in certain leagues and matches. This has had the knock-on effect of leaving our prices in more mainstream sports and markets not where we want it to be. Your analysis has helped to highlight an issue we were already discussing internally and looking to address.

This week I have identified over 500 leagues of football matches that we were covering that will now be removed from the site (don’t worry we still have a substantial three figure number left). We want to offer value and the enhanced bets are simply the first of several features we will offer in the coming weeks.

We will begin the rollout of our changes in the coming days and weeks. We are keen to make everybet.io a success and are always keen to receive feedback from our customers and more importantly act on it. Thanks for your comments.

We have two NFL accumulators that we have boosted ahead of today’s week 12 fixtures.

Our first enhanced bet is the Ravens, Eagles and Colts to win.

The (5-5) Baltimore Ravens are home to the Oakland Raiders (2-8) in what should be a routine victory. The Eagles play the Giants at Lincoln Financial field in an NFC East clash. Both teams have had disappointing seasons and we are still waiting to see the Eagles play at anything like the level we saw last year. In the final game of this multiple the Indianapolis Colts host the Miami Dolphins. Both sides have a 5-5 record but crucially it is the Colts who are in form with four straight wins.

Our second enhanced bet is the Bengals, Panthers and Vikings to win.

The Bengals face the Browns in this all Ohio clash. The Bengals have slipped in the play-off race with back to back losses and will be keen to put the bottom team in their division, the Browns, to the sword today. The Panthers host the Seahawks at the Bank of America Stadium. Both teams are in the play-off reckoning, and like the Bengals, the Panthers will be keen to reverse a two game slide. The Green Bay Packers travel to the U.S. Bank Stadium to face the Minnesota Viking in the final leg of this three game accumulator. This is an NFC North clash and the Vikings are solid favorites to prevail.

Can the Ravens, Eagles and Colts live up to their favourite tagging and win? The multiple was 2.05 but we’ve enhanced this to 2.35 (10 mBTC per customer). All three teams are strong favorites and look a good thing but can they deliver the win?

The Bengals, Panthers and Viking to win their games was 4.75 but we’ve enhanced to this 5.50 (10 mBTC per customer). Whilst their games look tougher, they are all still home favorites and will be looking to push their advantage in front of their expectant fans.

The Premier League is back, and we’ve got an enhanced bet on today’s all London derby.

Chelsea travel to face Tottenham at Wembley (12:30 EST). Chelsea have surpassed expectation this season and are currently unbeaten. Chelsea’s away form has been excellent, and they have collected thirteen of the available fifteen points so far.

Spurs have been in good form without playing the eye catching football they are usually noted for. Playing at Wembley has proved difficult at times for Spurs and the team and fans cannot wait to finally take up residence at their new home next year.

Harry Kane, Spurs talisman and the current World Cup Golden Boot winner is always a threat in London derbies. He will relish the opportunity to lead Tottenham’s line this afternoon and will no doubt play a big part in this game. Kane to score at any point in the game was 2.05 but we’ve enhanced this to 2.30 (max bet 10 mBTC). Will Chelsea be able to keep Kane at bay or will Harry find the net again?

After yesterday’s Thanksgiving action, we’re back with Friday night basketball action.

The Memphis Grizzlies travel to the Staples Center the home of the Los Angeles Clippers (15:30 EST). The Grizzlies lead the Western Conference winning their last five games and stand at 12-5 for the season. The Grizzlies are a tough team and are ranked as the top defense in the NBA at the moment.

The LA Clippers lie third in the Western Conference. They have an excellent 7-1 record so far for home games at the Staples Center. Even more impressive is that they are averaging a fraction under 118 points per game and lead the Conference in scoring. A total of 212.5 or more points was 1.95 but we’ve enhanced this to 2.15 (max bet 10 mBTC per customer). Can the Clippers put up another stellar offensive performance and help the over backers?

It’s a day of NFL action at everybet.io with three midweek games taking place to celebrate Thanksgiving Day.

First up is the Chicago Bears travelling to Ford Field to face the Detroit Lions (12:30 EST) in an all NFC North clash. The Bears lead the division with a 7-3 record, having won their last four games. The Lions won last week against the Carolina Panthers and still have an outside shot of reaching the play-offs. The Lions have won four of their last five games on Thanksgiving Day and will be looking to continue that impressive record today. The Lions to win was 2.25 but we’ve enhanced this to 2.50 (max bet 10 mBTC per customer) for today’s NFL opener.

The second game of the day sees the Redskins travel to the AT&T Stadium to face the Dallas Cowboys (16:30 EST). These two teams occupy the top two spots in the NFC East division and whoever wins tonight will be in pole position as we get to the business end of the regular season. There will be a promotion on site for this game well in advance of kick-off.

The third and final game of the day sees the Atlanta Falcons facing the New Orleans Saints (20:20 EST). The Falcons will face a tough task as the Saints have been in dominant form winning nine in a row and are many people’s pick to win the Superbowl. The Saints have been blowing teams away and scoring at a rate of nearly forty points a game. Will the Saints be able to put together another huge night on offense? We’ll have an enhanced bet available for this game later today, so please keep an eye out on the site.

We’ve got an enhanced Hockey bet tonight at everybet.io

The Carolina Hurricanes host the Toronto Maple Leafs (19:00 EST) at the PNC Arena. The Hurricanes sit midtable in Metropolitan Division with a 9-8 record. They won last time out against the Devils but have struggled for form recently with seven losses in their last ten games.

The Toronto Maple Leafs sit top of the Atlantic League with a 15-6 record and are on a four game winning streak. Their away form has been outstanding with nine wins and just one loss so far. The Leafs are scoring at a rate of over 3.5 goals per game and will be keen to keep their current hot streak going. The Leafs to win tonight’s game was 1.85 but it is now enhanced to 2.15 (max bet 10 mBTC per customer). Can the Hurricanes deliver a performance or will they be blown away by the Leafs?
