Both of you correct. Because if one can't control them self or don't know how to use gambling than better to stay out of gambling. Because there are many other forms of entertainments are available for people to enjoy there life. If some one know how to manage there emotions than once in a while they can play gambling for fun and get the entertainment.

The second thing that you might want to consider is that if one always bets on outcomes that have a positive expected value, according to the law of large numbers, one will win in the long run (that's how casinos make money). Most losing gamblers take gambles where they have a negative expected value because their return would be greater, so in the long run, according to the law of large numbers, they lose. Do a little math, understand your position, place informed wagers and one can insure a long term profit.

I would have to agree with cjmoles. Especially on his last point. Learn the math, learn probability theory in depth. Practice mental math so you become quicker and your odds of winning will most surely increase.

But your best option is to play games that have a larger component of skill, such as poker. Poker is where it's at Cool

Everyone does not lose in the long run. There are many professional poker and sports gamblers. It takes discipline, intelligence and some luck, but some people are very successful and this is their career. I only say this about poker and sports wagering. The others you will lose over time no matter what.

Poker is the only way you can't lose in the long run but you must have skill to be able to active this and the house edge on the other gambling facilities make sure you will lose in the end that's why martingale isn't a successfull strategy no matter what you will lose. For example dice.

Everybody has their own reason for staying in gambling. Finding out a winning method must be a fake reason you are saying to your friends or spouse just to justify your gambling hours. Soon you will realize there is no viable method on gambling for profit making always.

Well yes, if you keep on gambling on a daily basis or heck even on a weekly basis, it will be harder and harder to get back up from all your losses.

It is not the people willingly losing money but because of of house edge every one will lose money, if they play dice game for long time to make more money out of it. Some times this house edge can give you continuously 30 to 40 over loses. But some one might have faced even more than that loses continuously otherwise one can load few BTC and make sure they will win.
