I believe that is what is called as variances, sometimes this variances could be a bitch because apart from all those have small losses combined then there will be always someone who won big alone thus breaking the house apart but in the end it will even out because there will be another player that lost as well
Well you could say "Everyone looses in the long run" about life... but not everyone does lose in the long run with gambling. Most do but I've known gamblers who make a living gambling and are very much in profit and I've also known people who have lost thousands and will never recoup their loses. I also know many people who just gamble a little just for fun every now and again and spend no more money than they would on a night out and those people just see it as entertainment just like going to a club or the movies.
