Any idea on how to get this miner to stop flagging my Windows 10 Windows Defender?

Open Defender and
Click  on the Gear Setup and
go to "Add a folder exclusion "
navigate (browse) to the folder to be excluded.
add the folder.

Now I am running W10, but want to change OS to Ubuntu. I prefer using Server edition and automation with ansible. My question, how you are reducing power with gui or console? Thanks
Any specific reason why you want to switch from Win10 to Ubuntu?

First of all, it's free OS and there aren't GUI on server edition. Second thing, as I mentioned before automation with Ansible. Making all process automated.  For example change mining coin hundredths of rigs in minute.

You could have cygwin installed on the windows rigs, it help with automation quite a bit, but for licencing price it's good to go with linux, be mindful not all algos can be mined on it as effectively than on windows.

depend of the specs of your card, nvidia-smi -pl 90  sets 90W as target power limit.
check your limits with nvidia-smi -q -d POWER
it will give you a list of all the power specs of your cards, including minimum and maximum power limits.
once you find the one you like, you can add it to /etc/rc.local so it will auto-set when the miner starts.

So all configuration comes from nvidia-smi ? I am using Palit Gtx products. And what about OC, as I know where are some Coolbits conf which open OC features in Linux?

hello
1 question
has anyone be able to lower the tdp of the gtx 1060 below 80 watts in linux?
i have tried with several drivers and nothing, minimum target power limit is still 80 watts  Sad

thanks
indkt

How many sol/s are you getting with 80 watts? I have a similar question for the 1070 amp extreme, It doesn't go lower than 50% and I think it is about 125 watts.

GTX 1070 @ 90W Target power limit (it can't go lower with the drivers I have tried (367.44, 370 and 378)) 370 Sols
GTX 1060 @ 80W Target power lmit (also i can't go lower than that with any of the drivers i had tried, but i now someone mention
about two weeks ago that he is using 70W, but i cannot find that post, so that's why i asked if anyone knows how) 270 Sols

Cards are all Gigabyte G1
everything is stock clock, i never ever overclock my cards, runing linux 14.04 LTS, current driver 378

I'm running 6 GPU's with this app and it tends to drop a few of them.  Is there a limited number I'm to use because I have a miner that's running 3 GPU's just fine with no resets yet.

I can run some test if need be...

UPDATE:

Looks like 3 GPU at a time is fine

Hello. Miner have a limit of 32 GPU and it works absolutely similar in the case of any number of GPUs. What actually happening, speed is falls, miner are crashed or maybe something else?

Mine 1070 are at 60% and 125W ( G1 and STRIX OCs ) 0 clocks and around 410 Sols. OCed went up 140w and 430Sols and too much heat so 0 clocks

Yeah, I hate the heat.  It's warming up here again, so I have to slow everything down or mine another algo.
