Can't do 7x 8gb nvidia cards on msi z97 - memory address / allocation issue that I think is hard coded to mobo.  I went deep down that rabbit hole messing with IRQ settings, memory addresses and a bunch of other stuff before figuring this out.  You can run 7x 4gb cards on that board - most people use 470s or 480s for this.

What CPU are you using? I heard it requires a XEON for extra pcie lanes.

It's not an issue with having enough PCIE lanes, as that board does.  I think it's the 8gb cards causing a limitation with memory allocation.  One person that I know of got around this issue but could only use 3.5gb per card.  The other option is a server backplane with 2x xeons - but it's cost prohibitive for mining.

I have 7 3gb cards, 1060 but I only have a celeron 34$ proc in it

it would be awesome if you can make a dual miner out of it, with decred or lbry. this would be a great improvement. the claymore eth miner got this awesome feature Smiley.
That's a fact that the next step beside maintaining zcash mining would be to develop other tokens for Nvidia GPU's.

I've already posted this before, but on average you should see 285-295 sol/sec @ 90W.

Settings:
  • Power Limit: 75
  • Core: +185
  • Memory: + 550

tell me please, core +185 from base freq (1500) or boot freq (1860) My GPU after start mining auto boost to 1860 Mhz. Sry for my Eng)

is this the 3gb version getting almost 300 sol?

Amph, I have the 3gb version, Asus 1060 3gb, I do get 290+ on all of my cards.  I have 7 with a msi z97 gaming 5 and I can get 2050 SOL/s out of it

+160 core
+560 Mem

What watts is that running at from the wall? or by nvidiaInspector?

Should be less than 950, I have 6 running now, get my last card in tom.  on my plug I have the rig, small 5 port network switch, monitor (which takes about 30 watts) and I also have 7 usb fans running from the MB.  It currently reads around 840 with a killowatt plug.  I can post pics tomorrow after I get my 7th card running, that should get me to 2050 or so
Hi Bughatti, could you please let me know if you do manage to use that 7th card in the MSI board? I have the exact same board and 7 1070/1060s and it's impossible for me to get the 7th to work in Windows. I get the code 12 error. In the BIOS they are all detected fine. Please report back when you try the 7th card to see if it works, and if it does please share what you did. Thanks!

Yea unfortunately its a no go for me to, tried everything I could think of, even took all out and installed 1 at a time, then reboot.  Still did not work.  I saw a thread by someone who had 7 working in windows but they had amd and are using 8.1 pro.  I had a couple other computers in the house so I just threw the 7th in that one to mine.  Really wish I could find someone that got 7 nvidia cards working in windows.

@pintycar, out of curiosity, have you tested pascalcoin on your rig yet, I tried sgminer pascal and it fails with 6 cards trying to use 2 threads each.  I dont want to hyjack this thread so if you have it working, can you PM me your setup?

You ppl don`t get zcash is GPU and memory very intensive, no dual mining!

also don`t expect more speed when there is no competition, just see claymore zcash he only do it because of optiminer and zawawa!

Obviously when you see your cards running at half the manufacturer's specs, profitability is restricted somewhere but it does not mean
it's EWBF's fault. It could be the pools, the governments, the banks and who knows who.

Trying to work out the 1050 ti hashrate and power draw for like the EVGA cards.

It appears that your gpu is only consuming 80% of 120% you gave it. And running at pretty high clocks. What brand/model card is it?

Hi,

what is the most stable and fastest --solver argument to use with GTX1060 6gb?

thanks

well... test it ? solver 0 should be the most efficient for new cards.
