According to J. Christopher Giancarlo, Commodity Futures Trading Commision (CFTC) Chairman, US regulators have begun to coordinate with their abroad counterparts to combat cryptocurrency fraud. Giancarlo revealed this international effort during a U.S. House of Representatives committee hearing on the CFTC’s budget for the fiscal year 2019, adding that officials in the Treasury Department and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) were also involved in the collaboration. One excerpt from the statement reads:

Another week has passed by and still zero progress. It is crystal clear that they are only trying to delay or make people give up on them. They haven't touched the coins yet because if they get found they can even appear in court and show this to seem like they were working on it to get it working again to uphold their innocence. That is all. They will keep pulling our chain untill all quits down around them and no one cares about it anymore, since it is crypto, it does not matter how long this will take. The coins there might even be worth more after that time anyway.
