Oh I never thought RedBull has almost half a second pace difference from Mercedes and this made me to loose my ticket but I'm happy because Verstappen took the pole as he really deserve to be champion. Another question that keep popping in my head is : Is Valteri a really good driver ? Because Hamilton is clearly not in his best shape and he still can't beat him ...so tomorrow I have doubts he can keep that P3 with a hungry Gasly coming and the one chance man Leclerc is ready to speculate any mistakes.
Agree with you on all points made. I don't expect Hamilton to keep up with the bulls in this race.
Here are the latest odds provided just an hour out to the start of the race:

I don't expect them to change very much until the last second as they are just getting underway to begin.
2.73x odds on Lewis doesn't look like the bookies are on his side in this one either. Wink

Ferrari is definitely better than last year, which can also be seen in the other vehicles with Ferrari engines. Unfortunately this is the last year for Honda now that they are competitive. In any case, wait and see how the teams behave in the long run.

Engines are frozen from now until 2025 and Redbull/Alpha Tauri will still use them till then at least is what I had read in this months.
Who knows what will happen later, we have rumors about V10 but I don't think they will go back to those monsters.

I don't think also that they would start using V10 engines again. But I really missed them.  Grin  I believe those engines had the real Formula 1 car sounds.

Thanks, I didn't know that the engine freeze was already fixed. But otherwise I've also heard that RedBull is developing on its own with the help of Honda. I would be happy about a V10 sound again, unfortunately it won't come back.

As predicted the engine of Honda is a big engine and now it maybe even better than the Mercedes' Engine.
Don't look only at RedBulls but be amazed by Alpha Tauri.
Ferrari improved a lot, sadly Sainz did a mistake or it could be near LeCleck.

Mercedes, at least Bottas has problems in long runs with tires while Redbull is one of the best with the management of tires.
The prediction is Max Winner.

After Verstappen its hard to say who will go on podium it depends on who will manage better the tires, one of the best doing so is Perez but he is behind.
Ferrari maybe solved this problem too but...

I'm going with

VER
HAM
GAS
LECR
BOTT
SAINZ

I would like to share my opinions about the top 5 placement also:

1. VER
2. HAM
3. BOT
4. GAS
5. LEC

Gasly is really the most surprising pilot here. He did a great job in the qualifying and I think he will also finish the race at a nice position. And Leclerc also has drawn attentions by his performance. I think he will also finish nicely.

I can't tell yet if AM is weak or it was only bad luck.
Ferrari went better than I'd expect, but I want to see if they can go well for entire race(s).
I didn't also expect so small difference between RBR and Merc cars.
Gasly was a nice surprise.

Can't wait until the race. It has all the premises for an interesting one.

It is a very exciting time for Red Bull as you can see from the latest video from the racing qualifier.

Mercedes with Lewis came in 2nd but it was a good haul and exciting finish.

Here are the places where you can see Verstappen set a record in this one.

Also, your welcome Tomahawk9! Cool

I'm not a very big fan of the Formula 1 sport but I love cars even though I know very little about them but then, high speed racing cars with high horses powers trips me just to hear the sound off the engine. Well, on the thread,

My best guess on where to watch put for would always be the Ferrari. Ferrari cars are carefully crafted and comes with a lot of horse power, the problem has always being enduring the various lap but, that has a lot to do with the person behind the wheel as well but, a ferrari car comes with some advantage in car racing.

well I'm going to risk how the championship of constructors will be.

1. Mercedes
2. Red Bull
3. Ferrari(risky)
4. Mclaren
5. AM
6. Alpine
7. Alpha Tauri
8. Alfa Romeo
9. Williams
10. HAAS

After that i want to say between the 3 (Ferrari) and the 7 (Alpha Tauri) all can pass, and i put Alpha Tauri in this group because the last year they were very solid and improving all the season and this season they have the wind tunnel of redbull + Tsunoda seems better than Kviat so take a look if Alpha Tauri was the surprise of the season and move more forward.

Edit: PS anyone one more want to risk your constructor positions?

Has to say after this qualyfing and i know the season its long , i say to us take care of Alpha Tauri and Ferrari like i say in my previous post.
Such a terrible performance for AM

Yep. Redbull are the revelation this year and it's a years of bulls so for me it was kinda obvious that this will happen.  I just saw FP3 and I must say that Mercedes will be right near RedBull or this won't be a satisfied season to watch if Redbull will dominate like Mercedes dominated the previous years so for this reason I took the follow :

I do think mercedes is in trouble this year indeed. Wink
Here are the past winners in Bahrain where the premiere of this season begins on the F1 circuit.
Mercedes has been dominating the Bahrain Grand Prix for 2 years but this time I also hope for things to change this time. Max Verstappen finished both Practice sessions as the 1st. It looks like he has a quite big chance to win the GP also. But it is early to say that as we haven't seen the Qualifying yet. But I want to believe that he can make it.
Yeah the practices were intense but Verstappen took them both. Hamilton is dragging behind after being the carrot to the pack of rabbits years in a row before. Cheesy

Red bull is looking like the team to beat this year. Grin

Well it looks like McLaren had a good pace only yesterday because today they in FP3 the pace is not there anymore. Also Ferrari pace is not there anymore and same goes to Alpine and Alpha Tauri so why this big gaps between FP1,2 and FP3 ? Because we are approaching the qualifies guys and no one wants to spill out anymore secrets. The last tuning on the car and last adjustments will be visible in about 2 hours when the qualifies will begin. Is Mercedes sandbagging even harder ? Nah, they just don't have the pace.

Life, Love and Laughter...
Hi guys,

Steve's picks for this year.. AND reasons Smiley

With Max taking on LuLu head to head, I think Perez can beat Bottas
(I met Bottas in Helsinki once, nice guy, nothing personal but he made too many mistakes last year and then got out raced by Russell in equal(ish) car.
1. Red Bull
2. Mercedes

Mclaren has some serious pace and expecting Dan to pick up some good points
3. Mclaren
4. Aston Martin   ( I really can't seem them dropping too far..)

The next 4 you can toss a tissue over them it will be that close. Im expecting massive pain for Ferrari.. they are clearly behind the 8-ball and never recovered from the burning oil ruling
5. Alpha Tauri super fast in testing.
6. Alpine  renault to drop.. Dan carried them last year and they just haven't delivered.
7. Alfa Romeo - could Def surprise and jump up.
8. Ferrari

Both basketcases and a massive shame. George to take Bottas's seat next season.
9. HAAS
10. Williams

regards,

Steve.

It looks like somebody itt hates Ferrari.  Cheesy  And yeah..  I’m rooting for RBR to win both the driver’s and constructor’s championships.  It’s a big ask tho.  Merc has the momentum.

Rooting for Vettel to do well at Aston Martin too.

And I think HAAS finishes below Williams just cos both their drivers are rookies.  Dunno.

I was so right regarding the Red Bull and I knew that Mercedes are not sandbagging anymore just because this guys are really struggle this year because the tech used for the down floor of the car is from 2019 which was not a great year when they developed that floor so this puts them 2 years behind. Will they recover soon enough to face Red Bull ? I think Mercedes will find the old rhythm but I think it will be too late and Max will already be 60% champ by then.

Another nice surprise for me is too see my boys McLaren high there and I might bet for Lando Norris podium for Sunday.

As a question, I wonder : Is Perez having the same treatment like the drivers before him ? It looks like that red bull is only developed for Max Verstappen and I hope I'm wrong and Perez will help Max for both titles that are at stake.

Mclaren is the only car that managed to find a gap in the regulation for the new back of the car it can be a huge advantage.
Mercedes and Bottas have problems, after 5 laps on yellow tires he said "this car is undrivable".
Ferrari seems stronger than expected, if they remain like this they can fight for the podium.

Disappointment from Alpine and Aston Martin.

Ferrari stronger ? Uhm they clearly said that their goal is F1 2022 cars and there is where the heavy development begins so don't be too surprised if they end up fighting with Alpha Tauri and Alpine. Regarding Alipine , yea a huge disappointment from them but it was expected as Renault lost 2 engine clients in 2 years : 1st it was Redbull and last year it was McLaren so it was kinda obvious that they can't do better than their last year when 2 podiums were a huge milestone for them.
