Because they believe that Facebook prohibits bitcoin and ICos and other cryptocurrency
The new Facebook policy will not allow announcements of known digital currency exchanges or initial offers of currencies.
Is it to avoid fraud or false advertising? That's why?

In my own opinion I’ll say it’s both to avoid fraud and false advertising, they are trying to protect the interest of their users. I must commend them for that, so many icos have emerged including the scammy ones and Facebook might not have so much expertise in differentiating the scam from the legit, so the best option for them is to disallow the continuity of such adverts/ promotions. Actions have been taken cause I noticed a lot of Facebook pages promoting their icos were closed down

You arent reading ,based on facebook terms and conditions they will not accept any ICO related advetisement to their paid advertising program to eliminate scammy ICOs in facebook community. It doesnt mean that they will ban your account if you posted, share and link any ICO related topics using your profile the only affected by this restrictions woauld be the people who are paying facebook for their ICO advetisements.
/thread

People should pay more attention, then these threads wouldn't pop up in the first place. Most of the topics on here are taken out of context and spread completely false information.

Facebook even announced that they were looking into blockchain technologies themselves, which is the opposite of a stance against Bitcoin.

I think that by doing so they will actually reduce the number of fraudulent projects but the main goal of facebook is a ban on spam because a lot of people are spamming and it's not good

I suppose facebook just tries to bring the order in their network. There are now thousands people  who is ready to promote scam for the money. Many bounty hunters don't care what they are promoting. It is good idea to block suspicious content and double check it.

There are a lot of scam and weak projects. Some kind of obstruction just should happen, because if not the market will choke on pretty soon and a really grand correction happens (I suppose it will be this summer).

I think facebook does not fight because of advertising about bitcoin as it looks spam and this will be negative from viewers facebook itself.
and I think this is very reasonable and proper.
because not everyone knows what bitcoin is and not everyone likes it.

FB isn't prohibiting ICO's and bitcoin, they are not only allowing those advertisement that are related to these.

An individual is still free to make their own fanpage, account, group or chat groups but when it comes on purchasing a paid ad to target selected views, that's what facebook isn't allowing.

Is it to avoid fraud or false advertising? That's why?
I haven't read what's the sole purpose of facebook by doing that, maybe Zuckerberg is planning something and he's terminating his competitors as early as he announced it.

Facebook are really inherently looking at discriminating against ICO's that are advertising a quick buck on the platform (which can then result in people losing money). The same actually goes for looking over at Bitcoin or Etheruem investments advertised too with certain exchanges. I can see why FB wants to regulate this part of its advertisements and make sure only legitimate companies (once gained white-listings) can make good educational ads.

Facebook Prohibits ico , as the company is afraid that cryptocurrency projects will take away part of the advertising market and profits may fall. This is will happen exactly, but a little later.

ICO paid adverts have been banned that is what is going on. What is interesting is the fact that Mark has come out recently talking about cryptocurrencies on Facebook.

This is more of a monopoly, ban all ICO related adverts and create a altcoin for Facebook.

Crypto and ICO ads are banned because there are many scams and can not be justified for the truth. It will be very detrimental to the investors who have joined there. Facebook does not want any dirty work on it. To like and share an ICO page, it is not prohibited. I think it's safe and not forbidden.

Bitcoin advertising is often blocked in Facebook when there is a lot of advertising but when it goes on average 70 posts a day it can be freed from the prison Internet grid of this social network.

Facebook is banned ICO advertisements in the form of offers in crypto. That is to avoid the misguided flow made by ICO founders and irresponsible crypto. Because of the many scams in it. This will lead to wild price fluctuations that will have an impact on investors. but, if used to like and share facebook pages and all facebook posts about ICO I think that's no problem.

Actually facebook is not against bitcoin, it's just limiting the advertisers who are considered spam. The proof, until now there are ads about altcoin trading that appears on facebook. This proves that facebook is very filtering ads that will be displayed on their pages.

It doesn't mean that facebook are against the bitcoin,it means they doesn't want to promote a scam project because many ICOs are turned into scam after they earned the money as they wanted,But I don't think the facebook is against to it they just want to keep their reputation by stop promoting false projects.
