Because they believe that Facebook prohibits bitcoin and ICos and other cryptocurrency
The new Facebook policy will not allow announcements of known digital currency exchanges or initial offers of currencies.
Is it to avoid fraud or false advertising? That's why?

I believe that Facebook is not against bitcoin but they only into the protection of people for those possible scams and can be harm to all users. Facebook don't like it that they were implicated, as we all know that Facebook is very powerful medium of information now a days, and even fake news that was spreading.
I agree with that, its an action where the admin just wanted to protect its users, those announcement coming from every new ico's are very annoying and keep showing each time we open our accounts, its also giving opportunities for projects where scam is highly possible to collect or recruit investors which not really familiar with the system, this action will be favored for the users itself, I'm sure if investors are really willing to support certain project instead of using fb they will go inside the forum and read more about it.

It’s not that facebook really hates bitcoin. It’s more a matter of that they don’t want people to get scammed by certain ICOs, so they banned crypto ads

We all know the harsh reality about ICOs that most of them are nothing just a piece of shit made just to scam people out of nothing. Facebook has a reputation which it has made for last 15 years. They don't want to hamper their reputation by advertising scams and that also when govts. don't have a clear step against or in favor of it. This is the sole reason why facebook has banned these ads. They don't have any personal grudge with any ICO.

Really! You already answered your own question and still asking again. Facebook made it plain and clear the reason why they had to halt the advertisement of ICOs and I totally see reason with it. Why would anyone consider that as being against bitcoin? Moreover, we are talking cryptocurrency in general here. I do not know why sometimes, some people just like picking things that are not worthy of being picked.

I know that Facebook has a strong policy against many things, such as faces, body parts, children in advertising. And many more small details. Doing advertising is not so simple. Therefore, I was not surprised that this is due to cryptocurrencies.
I think because of they want to protect the community from what might can happen when we advertise the cryptocurrency in facebook. So owner banned crypto's because they have policy that anything that can harm to many people they will not allowing to use facebook.

The USA government hasn't yet reached any final decidion as to cryptocurrencies. They ban it, then allow again in some states, the ban again. I think Zuckerberg decided to take a pause and stay safe for some time.

I don't think so, Facebook is not against crypto currencies ads whoever spread that news are just making a FUD to push down the price of Bitcoin. But , Facebook refers to cryptocurrencies as financial products associated with misleading and deceptive promotion practices. Facebook only restricted ICOs from joining their paid advertising program, but it doesnt mean that you cant post, share, link in facebook's timeline.

They are not against crypto, they are against people getting scammed through crypto ads on their platform.
Lol. Well, that has nothing to do with Facebook now, so until Google ends up changing their policies as well which I am sure not in this age, then be ready for more.

I am sure it must have even taken Facebook a lot to be able to do that, considering how much they must have been realizing from those adverts, but I really feel why they just had to for the sake of investors who are too lazy to make research.

It seems to me that Facebook works exclusively in its own interests, and not in the interests of the community. Just this big piece of pie passes by them. The network is full of advertising, but Facebook does not have a penny. The answer is simple. You have to pay for any advertising.

Facebook has been very vocal about its stand on fake news. They even released a statement that they will have a thorough filtering towards this. In my own point of view, Facebook is not against bitcoin. It may have a possibility of blocking advertisements about bitcoin but it doesn’t mean that they’re against it. They are only preventing possible scams about the said cryptocurrencies. It’s also helpful that way since we can be protected from future problems of these scams.

Facebook with its all ad platforms (FB, Messenger, Audience, Instagram) is the most profitable way to advertise your product on the internet. It has reach to millions of users, and it costs a little. Of course, by banning crypto projects on this platform it leads to stagnation for some of them. You can not say that they are not against crypto. Yes, they do!

At least they could impliment some sort of admin moderation! But they don't!

In addition to this, they are trying to moderate the market before the goverment. It is not only looking funny but also comfirms that they are against crypto.

I'm wondering why I still can see ICO ads in Instagram even it's been almost a month since they banned it. Each day I found at least one ICO ad in my IG feed.

I think Facebook opts to ban paid ads especially those focusing on ICOs investments , because people have experienced enough such scams & fraudulent projects .
I think is a good idea to really stop to promote scam advertising to fool people, everyday we see this in a lot of groups or forums and its very bad...Hope will others social networks will do the same to prevent others bad situations
Facebook against bitcoin because some our ICO we promoting are scam and since many people know about crypto in social media like facebook, and a lot of people try it tehn later on they find out it is scam. Then the owner of facebook ban promoting not only bitcoin but all cryptocurrency. But i think facebook is not against to bitcoin they only want to all people to be safe.

Based on what I've read. The Facebook ban the ads of Bitcoin and other ICO cryptocurrency, because they just wanted the people learn and discover new good things in Facebook without fear of scams and deception.

Facebook is not against with bitcoin, they are supporting bitcoin and soon they will accept payment from this coin on their social media.
what facebook dont want, is to be used by some ICO, ICO are not 100 percent sure and some are scams, Facebook only wants to be secure and not to be involved to scam and fraud of many ICO who just want to get money from the people all around the world.

It's to protect people from scam investment. many coin/token use facebook ad for advertising ICO and ppl don't know scam or not.
one of mark's resolution for this year is to study about bitcoin and cryptocurrency
Yeah, most ICOs which are scams promote through Facebook, so that's why they decided to block any ad.
