Is this a good time for Facebook to try new kinds of stuff. Facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg has become the world's third richest man in the world and he has achieved all that just because of technology and a right idea, So do you guys think he will now at least think about experimenting to take bitcoin as a payment method in facebook. I think that will surely change a lot of people's mind around the world and they can freely put some money on facebook business.

Facebook does really is joining it if they announce it. It could really be only Mark that who's joining and not the company itself. And maybe he is joining the Blockchain community and not just Bitcoin.

I think Bitcoin will reach Facebook and Facebook may be the first social networking company to accept Bitcoin.

If this will push through, it’s now making sense why facebook banned all ads regarding cryptocurrency and they lifted the ban. It will be a big help to the cryptocurrency market ig facebook will join in. It will be very interesting.

Areas of activity in which bitcoin and cryptocurrencies will be introduced in General, will necessarily experience a new positive round of development. It is strange to resist the already coming era of crypto-currencies. If you are backward and deny e-money, then you will be a failure!
Yeah we need to have some proper places that can introduce bitcoin to the world, and it will be good experience for all of us to see bitcoin joining with the facebook because since long bitcoin has been introduced by facebook truly worldwide because facebook is a site that almost everyone is using and more people are socially active on facebook so yes hits is going to be a great step for the battement of bitcoin.
I do not see any information related to this news on facebook. Maybe this is just a rumor because now facebook still prohibited ads ICO

I think it wouldve been a good idea for facebook to welcome bitcoin and Mark making a big turnaround for technology. Im pretty sure Mark is quite skeptical about bitcoin because of its volatility. When he invested his time and effort in facebook, he knew from the start it will make big in the future.
a businessman should be able to read the future, and I think they already know that bitcoin will be brilliant later. so from that right decision taken by mark, of course correct the weakness when facebook anti ico before

Any real business man will be quite skeptical about volatility as there is simply no doubt about that. They will want to assume the real life usage on their part and on the part of the users themselves, and with this kind of volatility for sure, it is something even if they are considering at all, will not be anytime soon.

No one knows but later on, I foresee the possibility of Facebook actually making use of the blockchain tech anyway to create their own for usage which we all believe should really have some good demand in the long run.

Here is the thing with business, they're not going to accept a new payment method and go through all the motions of setting it up unless it's going to profit them. At this point in the game, Zuckerberg and the rest of the corporate structure at Facebook doesn't really care about the tech anymore -- they're all in it for maximizing the amount of money that they can make. If bitcoin is going to lead to them making a few more million dollars a year in advertising revenue / whatever revenue they make it in. Then they're going to do it.

If it's not going to help them at all, they're not going to accept Bitcoin. That's just the simple way of laying it out.

I would not say they no longer care about the tech anymore since that is what is bringing in the money and huge revenue in the first place anyway. Development has always been going on with the platform as new features are being enabled every time just to be able to stand on top of their game.

However, with respect to using bitcoin; like you said, the team would be looking for something that would bring about huge revenue the more, and in that case, the likelihood of creating their own coin or token by integrating blockchain technology instead on the social platform would sound more reasonable, which I believe with some of the news we have been seeing so far, it seems it would actually be the case eventually.

Indeed receiving cryptocurrency as payment is a good idea, but do you forget the stateman that is given by the facebook that prohibits advertising ICOs, whereas before ICOs become the hype the facebook founder that mark zuckerberg said blockchain as a great technology, but from what I see that facebook is focusing them on new features especially on facebook ads.

Well it's not impossible and seeing how the winklevoss twins made fortunes investing in bitcoin, zuckerberg may just get an idea to try it. If he hasn't even gotten into btc in the first place. The guy knows how to make money, and with that much money he has, it'll be really tempting to try crypto investments.

I don't have idea about what Facebook , is doing.. ?
Then why are you commenting about it in a language you obviously have no idea how to use?

It's crazy how Facebook exploded.  Their stock tanked shortly after their IPO, and I wouldn't consider buying it (doesn't pay a dividend and probably never will), but it's gone up a lot since then.  I'm sure that accounts for a good part of MZ's wealth.  I just never understood the maniacal appeal of the service they offer.  But they're a pure tech company, and I'd say it's about time they embraced crypto.

From what I've read on bitcointalk, it's not bitcoin they're talking about but their own coin, but I think even if that's the case it'll still be good for bitcoin, since it gets people involved in cryptocurrency.  Once people learn the value of cryptocurrency in general, they'll see how dominant bitcoin really is.
