That was a nice pump! Thank you! Sold mine, will rebuy at lower prices. Gotta love those FIBRE swings! There is one thins that worries me - quite low buy support. If I would have like 3 BTC worth of coin and I would like to sell it, there are not enough buyer to make a decent profit. I don't know why is that - the coin seems legit. Last buy/sell order was in 70k price range and yet if someone would like to sell 3 BTC he would have to dump it to 35k.

>>UPDATE<<

FibreOS

FibreOS Release Schedule:

Private Beta Testing: In Progress
Public Beta Release: 22/09/14
FibreOS Official Release: 26/09/14

All of our previous releases have been almost ninja launches, FibreOS deserves some media attention. So for the next week the marketing machine behind Fibre will be working hard to gain as much exposure as possible.

FibreOS utilizes a custom, optimized and hardened Ubuntu environment, based on the latest version 14.04LTS. FibreOS is a secure and anonymous operating system, Anyone with a PC or laptop will be able to use FibreOS. Because the OS and Wallet data files are stored on a USB, You effectively have true cold storage, your coins will follow you wherever you go. All traffic is routed via TOR giving the user increased anonymity. When you unplug your USB stick no trace is left on the host PC.

  • FibreDark Wallet

  • Full Tor Support

  • Tor Browser

  • Fully persistent

  • Runs on low spec PC's

Crypto since 2014
I am posting this message from my Fibre os.

I know many people may want their Fibre Os to look like this:

Thankfully it is possible and this is how:

Firstly, follow these instructions here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.8909808 to give your OS more capacity.
(you'll probably need at least 8gb)
Then once you have done that, press Ctrl+Alt+F2 to open a Terminal in fullscreen.
Type "fibre" (all lower-case and without the ") for the username and
"Fibreos" for the Password (with a capital F and without the ")
Then you will have logged in successfully.

Now, to install the new GUI you will need to type:
Code:
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop
followed by the Enter key.
If will ask you for the Password. Type "Fibreos" and press Enter.
Now your computer will install the new GUI.
If you don't want to install extra programs such as libreoffice (they take up a bit of space) then instead of typing the command above, type:
Code:
sudo apt-get install --no-install-recommends ubuntu-desktop

Near the end of the installation a message will come up with two options. One will be "gdm" and one will be "Lightdm"
Select "Lightdm" with the arrow keys and press Enter.
After everything has finished installing, type "exit" into the Terminal. This will log you out of the terminal.
Now you can press Ctrl+Alt+F7 to go back to the desktop. Restart your computer now.

When Fibre OS boots back up you will be presented with a boot menu allowing you to select which disk you want to boot. (GRUB 2)
To boot from your usb, find the line that says Ubuntu and press enter. This will boot the os again.
If you want to get rid of this slightly annoying menu, log into Fibre OS and press Ctrl+Alt+T to open Terminal.

Now we are going to install a program called GRUB Customizer. This program will allow us to stop the boot menu from appearing.

Copy and Paste (or type) these lines into the Terminal: (make sure to only paste (or type) one line at a time otherwise it doesn't work)
Code:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:danielrichter2007/grub-customizer
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install grub-customizer

Now your computer has a new program called GRUB customiser.
Now search for it by pressing the button in the top left corner of the screen and typing "GRUB customizer"
click on the icon to open the program. You will need to type the password to open the program. (its "Fibreos" without the " in case you forgot)

Now under the List Configuration Tab, hold down Shift and highlight all of the option except the first "Ubuntu" option.
Click Remove at the top and then click save.
Now click the "General Settings" tab.
Make sure the options "show menu" and "look for other operating systems" is unticked.
Click save again if you needed to untick any of those options and now you can close the program.

Now every time you boot from the USB it will boot directly into the FibreOS with the other boot options and it will have the new theme.

Hopefully the volume will pick up on the new exchanges over the next few days once folks start to hear more about the coin and want to get in while value hasn't been tormented by large investor groups, which is almost certainly bound to happen, unfortunately. If so, just remember where base value is now and continue to chart from that after the party...

Hi

Yes, more exchanges will cause awareness from others that have no idea of Fibre.

It always take time in creating a solid community and getting serious investors involved.

Krushang

Absolutely. The people who have been in fibre for a while should try to keep things in perspective. This weekend has brought substantial growth with all of the great news. But there is still a huge upside considering how few know about fibre at this point.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>UPDATE<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

This is for our existing community and also to show our new investors, exactly what Fibre is all about.

As some of you may be aware. The road map we released was just the start of our plans. We have many development streams, one of those is around improving the security of FIbre.

Heres our first implementation from the Security Development Stream.

Introducing FibreLock
An innovative security feature that has not been seen in Crypto Land before.  The idea behind FibreLock was to remove the keyboard from the password entry process thus rendering key loggers and other malware useless against the FibreWallet !!! FibreLock uses an android style pattern based locking system, there is no keyboard subsystem being used that malware could monitor !!! All inputs will come from your mouse.

Your pattern will become your password. If your wallet is already encrypted, use the change password feature to swap over to the new pattern input.

Select Change Password > Enter your existing password > Enter your new pattern and confirm.

We will only be releasing Windows FibreDark wallet with FibreLock, the other wallets will be released in the next 48 hrs. Most should be up tomorrow.

Thanks guys!! We are still here and still delivering!!

Our new investors are concerned as to whether this aggressive development can be sustained. Well our existing investors probably had the same thoughts weeks ago, they now know that we have only got more aggressive in our development.
