That's just how good the game is and I think they weren't really prepared for what the Japanese can and they were stunned by their performance in the second half which surprise everyone again. But Spain didn't give any opening to their opponent and used every opportunity to further stretch their lead to win their first game in the World Cup. The next game is Brazil which is also the favorite team to win in their group.

The German team doesn't have a good striker. Havertz doesn't deserve a place in the German national team. Serge Gnabry disappointed as well. Lots of missed goal opportunities against Japan. The loss against Japan reminds me of the loss against South Korea in the previous World Cup. There is a big possibility for Germany to leave the tournament at the group stage.
I don't know what happened to Costa Rica against Spain. The Latin American team played really weak. There's something wrong with Costa Rica.
Canada played really good against Belgium, but the lack of experience was the main reason for them to lose the game.
I can't wait to see Brazil vs. Serbia.

Germany played very confidently and aggressively in first half of the game ,the ball was totally in their control and they have far more passes than Japan but in 2nd half as soon as Japan scored a goal and than another goal game turned upside down for them and than they didn't gain their strength till the end.
Germany tried to score many goals but goalkeeper and defense of Japan was extraordinary and full alert towards every shot.
