It was a really interesting day for Argentina. This was normally like the easiest match in the group for them. However their performance was much worse than I expected. I mean they had big difficulties in defense especially. Both of Saudi Arabia's goals were impressive at the same time. By the way, I couldn't even count how many times Argentina players were caught offside. Grin

Many goals were disallowed just because of that. Martinez's first offside was a really slight one as well.

Not being able to find the second goal brought Argentina's end in the second half. After those shocking goals they tried to make a comeback but it didn't help. Saudi Arabia's goalkeeper was really amazing today by important saves.

Poland to draw against Mexico is ok but France to receive an early goal and lose a defender in the first minutes of the game was hilarious. They recovered from that mistake and they are leading 2-1 right now. Australia should focus and try to get a draw at least.

I don't expect any surprises in this fight. but in reality Australia even surprised me with their first 1 goal. at least the game is still in the 24th minute. so there is still hope for France to equalize the score. but the australian counterattacks have done real harm i think.

I got odds more than 4, and there is still 15 minutes to go so I hope they will score goal(s) again in the remaining 15 minutes of the 1st half.
What France needs to do is to reduce individual show off especially Mbappe and Dembele who like to dribble too much, better to play with great team work.

Even though many players from France have suffered injuries, they still have many star players on all fronts, say Mbappe, Griezzmann, Giroud, Dembele, Rabiot and Pavard. So this result of conceding first is not an excuse for France, they have to work a lot more. Update the score while it was a 1-1 draw, a goal scored by Rabiot in the 26th minute.

The world cup just started and I know a lot of people had high hope for Argentina today but this is football, anything can happen and since the gods of soccer were with Saudi Arabia in today's match we will have to congratulate them and wish them the best in the next outing.
