Nigeria women's teams are strong both mentally and physically. They made quite the impressive comeback in this match. In the second half, they need to find a way to deal with number 19, Gorry, the Australian midfielder who has been causing them a lot of trouble. She is like the engine that drives Australia's performance. It's difficult to predict the outcome of this match, but personally, I'm rooting for Nigeria. They just need to apply more pressure in the forward areas, and the 3 points are in the bag.

This Nigeria team is well coached. The shape in defending, the organized pressing and proper positional play and use of the ball is great to watch. They had a good first half, at least they been decent and were able to equalize before going into the break. The midfielders have been fantastic. I love the confident. They should have the day if they continue with the same play. Going forward they need to build from the back. They should stop this kicking of long balls. It put the team on pressure.

Portugal, who lost in the first match, will make the match later an opportunity to get 3 points, so the competition in Group E will remain tight because there are 3 teams that still have the chance to qualify for the group phase. Their energy and extreme confidence shows why they are the defending champions, I think there is about a team or two in this competition that played this well like the USWNT, despite going a goal down, you could tell from their body language that they still feel overly confident and were completely dominant after the break.

A draw would be earned point for the Netherlands for sure, but I must say that it would be tough for any team to see off the USA in this tournament, only Japan and Spain I can say have equally impressed me this much or more.

Yes an interesting game it was, Canada were rattled in the first half, Ireland played aggressively
and didnt give Canada time on the ball. The Irish goal by McCabe was very spectacular - corner
kick curling into the net off the back post. I'm sure a lot of bookmakers were just a little fearful
at that point that Ireland just might have been able to win...but if course it was a long way to
try and hold that lead.

The OG just before half time was kind of against the play of the first half where Canada were
not effective in their attack play and I think Ireland had slightly more possession.

Second half was very much different, 3 changes at half time for canada changed the
dynamics of the team and they were way more effective attacking, that coupled with
Ireland not being able to hold possession was only going to result in one outcome.

Canada were definitely worth their favourite status in the end.

Yeah, I had the opportunity of watching a very small part of that match and to be honest, the super falcons played way more than I expected, this girls seems to perform way better than their male counterpart, it was my very first time of sitting down to watch their game, and i was really impressed even though the game ended in a goalless draw, and our super falcons getting one red card, they still did very well regardless.
I am very hopeful that they will come out triumphant in their game against Australia, though to be honest, Australia is very good, but lets hope the girls bring their A game on, and be more careful not to get another red card.
