I'm going to make a bold prediction
IF Costa Rica defeats the Netherlands in penalty kicks we will see a Latin American Team take the world cup home
This is GIANT KILLING

Costa Rica a stubborn team. Making this incredibly difficult for Holland to advance

The diving is a bit sad.

Roben got slightly touched in the front middle but he dived forward for a free kick

Now the big question: Germany or Brazil?

With the injuries to Brazil and yellow card suspension for Silva, I would say Germany

Hopefully Netherlands scores early against Costa Rica

Only Thiago? They havent got Neymar Jr.

they tried to bring Neymar out since the first games
Kolumbia players pushed him as soon they were close

what do you think will happen when a team has one star player?

A brazil vs argentina game wouldn't be as cool without neymar playing Sad

next game Messi out Wink

Anyway the ref in the NL Costa Rica match isn't very good.

I made an updated snapshot.

Can see who won in FT there too.

Well this should be an easy win for netherlands, so we can close the semifinals bracket.

It depends of players mostly. If they united as team and give their best in game, with the great support from spectators as usually, they still have good chance to beat Germany.

I think it's still going to be close even with Brazil losing Neymar and Silva. Germany haven't been enthralling really.

With 23 games behind us in the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, we stop to reflect on the success (or failure) of forecasts so far. As we showed here, Brazil began the tournament as more than 3 times more likely winners than any other team, and, according to Goldman's new estimations, remains the strong favorite with a 49.5% chance of raising the Jules Rimet trophy. England's disappointment leaves them a 3% chance of getting to the knockout phase (and USA a 0.7% chance of winning it all). Goldman, however, have severely over-estimated Brazil and Spain's performances (and under-estimated Holland and Spain) as their track-record so far is Stolper-esque at 34% win rate (8 right, 15 wrong).

What was the Goldman's estimator to Costa Rica reach the quarters? The answer will give how reliable is this indicator
