My hope was for Italy, but they are out, and I definitely don't want Spain to win after the Juve - Madrid incident (Gigi Buffon should have punched someone after getting that red card). I would like for Germany to defend its title and claim back to back titles. Their team is solid and they have been doing a great job in the qualifiers and other tournaments as well.
I think this time Germany will get the chance as their team looks as stronger they will do hard for their victory.
But we do not have to hate Spain because of only one player. They are also better and the remaining team is a nice team and they have to get their fruit if they play with heart.

I know that Germany is  a much bigger team like Spain, France etc. but we cannot say this that it would regain this title as they have it four years before. In last world cup, Germany was quite lucky because the playmaker of Brazil; Neymar Jr was not playing the final and without him the team is nothing as it was proved when Germany beaten Brazil by 7-1 but this time, he is playing the matches.
There was a time when Brazil had super start players but right now i just know Neymar and i am not even sure what the entire team line up is and i do not give them a chance to lift the cup, i give Spain a chance here to lift the cup and i would rate Portugal as the favorites because of their performance in Euro, i did not expect them to win but they somehow managed and with Ronaldo in their team anything is possible and so does Argentina with Messi .

I belive this Brazil team will go far. They don't have so many top class individuals as in some previus generations but the new coach has managed to make them play defense like never before. They are really hard to score against and their attackers (Neymar, Willian, Couthino) will always score at least one goal.

Germany and Spain are always very good but my first favorite to win the world cup is France. If you just check the names of the players that have been left at home you can see that they have incredible squad depth.

Tons of people saying Argentina will win, like come on... I don't see that happening lmao Smiley
All these friendlies don't mean anything. We'll see in 7days. I expect tons of matches to be under 3 goals. Just like EURO.

I think Germany is the heavy favourite. But who knows maybe spain can surprise everyone.
I also see the same thing, and now the German players are in the peak of his career and maybe this became one of the favorite country champions, not sure if Spain will be able to penetrate the round of 8, because some players I think is mengenglami internal conflict. especially since the incident of sergio ramos injury to m.salah
Germany deserve called the favourite team because they never run out of good players and every generations always be appears good talented players although their competition league not the best in europe such as England or Spain league but germany can utilize their local talents even every clubs in Germany very rare to buy expensive players from other countries because usually they will use young players in this country

even if there is a player crisis in Germany, they can count on talented young players. because they always take advantage of young talents so that in the league not those who seek foreign players, but clubs from other countries who are looking for players Germany
Just look at the squad that Germany used to win the FIFA confederation Cup last year, though there was a lot of absentees in the squad and with Draxler being one of the notable players in the squad they went on to beat Chile and won it. The amount of talents in the country alone is just too much.
being a champion favorite is indeed a pride of being a German, and behind all that can be a burden for players who just enter the German squad, especially if they do not have a champion mentality. and it would be a task for Manuel Neuer (captain) to be able to provide support for all of them

bad day for germany he lost a match against Australia ,

In the last FIFA world ranking Germany is the first but Australia is 26th , this very Bad on players' psyche before  days  World Cup .
Germany must making reforms to compete for the title of cup .

Australia is a fake and such country doesn't exist. Don't try to fool us
Sorry Austria not Australia

You sill haven't explained how Austria is a fake country.

The people who have been left out of this year's world cup is a saddening reality.

Goalkeepers:

Leno, Hart, Asenjo.

Defenders:

David Luiz, Bellerin, M. Alonso, Laporte, Sandro.

Midfielders:

Gotze, Schurrle, Payet, Fabregas, Nainggolan, Wilshere, Neves, Rabiot.

Forwards:

Sane, Martial, Lacazette, Benzema(lol), Icardi, Morata, Coman.

Source: https://www.givemesport.com/football

The saddest part is that most of them were left out for no fault of theirs. Many of them were performing well. But players such as Nainggolan were left out because the national team coach was not very fond of them.

Their choice of pictures are the funniest.

Any predictions about FIFA World Cup 2018?

Who might get the 2018’s World Cup?

Can anyone successfully predict it?

I think the winner of this year's World Cup will be won by Germany, because the German team has strong players and almost all of its players are in the big leagues of world football
I'm not trying to change your mind but, when was the last time that a NT won the World Cup back-to-back? back in the 60s...this tells us just how difficult it is to win two WC in a row in modern football.

Also, Germany isn't the only NT with top players in their squad, take a look at Spain, most of their players in the starting XI play in two of the biggest clubs in the world, Barcelona and Real Madrid. So, in terms of quality, there are several teams with the same (if not higher) quality players as Germany.

It is hard to predict who will win the world cup event but as my feeling Germany may have the big chance this year. Btw, I am expected for the Spain to comeback to their performance and gives their best at this event.

I have no argument about letting out these players. We know they're good but with the decision that their coaches and the national team's needs maybe there has to be players worth deserving in their spot.

Egypt lost 0-3 to the Belgian team, in the last friendly match before the World Cup.
Belgium's Romilo lukaku scored in the 27th minute, Eden Hazard in the 38th minute and Marwan Villaini in the 90th minute.

Egypt play Group A with Russia, Uruguay and Saudi Arabia while Belgium play in a group that includes Panama, Tunisia and England.

^  Lmao!  I that squad could win the World Cup imo.

And tomahawk9, no Alexis Sanchez and Bale?  I mean I get that Fabregas or Nainggolan aren't included in their respective national teams but can Chile or Wales make do without Sanchez and Bale?  It's pretty surprising...

Edit:  No Verrati really???

I have no idea who'll be the winner, what I wonder is what'll happen to Brazil... They were playing like shit yet they still managed to take the 4th place in 2014.

They were glorious in '98 and '02 and any tournament after those was a piece of shit.
The team of Brazil is not like it used to be. On the last cup they gone well till Neymar didn't get a trauma, after that they couldn't recover and lost. I do not expect from Brazil this cup much, my favorite is Germany.
Past and future are always two different things and if Brazil had a bad past regarding this world cup, that doesn’t means the same will happen with them this time also because last time the play maker of Brazil; Neymar got injured and couldn’t play the final for his team and as he was captain, the whole team’s confidence got lose and in result of that the lost the cup but this time, hi is playing the tournament.

I am getting pretty excited as the first match of the world cup will be play in two weeks time, and I have already decided to put some of my money on Russia to beat Saudi Arabia in full time on this opening match. In my opinion, Saudi Arabia is not a very strong team and I believe Russia will surely want to win this match at home ground to reward the home fans who comes to support them at the stadium.

After the big event of IPL which has finished last week we are getting all excited with the FIFA world Cup. It is nice that they are not overlapping and we can have a best of the time before it was IPL and now we will enjoy it with the World Cup. It will be tough competition right from he start and will their be any surprise win for some country we will need to wait and see.

I don’t think that there is a link between IPL and FIFA. No doubt that all the people enjoy the FIFA world cup a lot because it is conducted after every four years which is a very long time span and due to the craze that people have gone through from the last FIFA in which Germany defeated Brazil with 7-1, I think the people can’t just wait to see both of the rivals again playing match.

And what about the big names from the NT that didn't make it? I can name you a few world class players + some others that are missing the WC and even get a starting XI: Oblack, Antonio Valencia, van Dijk, Bonucci, Alaba, Vidal, Verrati, Bale, Alexis Sanchez, Insigne, Aubameyang.
