Good players are on the bench waiting for world cup games, why to risk and put good players in the friendly game. They can get injured, and its better for them to rest after long season. That's why I don't like to bet on friendly games, first squad is never full, players don't give their maximum, and it's tricky to take money on friendly matches.
I don't worry about Germany in group stage, they will win south Korea and Sweden easily, against Mexico it will be interesting to see what will they do, I wouldn't underestimate Mexico.
Germany is one of the favorites for 1 place, maybe this is just a strategy, like they lost game, they are weak, but when they show up on world cup they will make some miracles.

You're right that friendlies are usually used as testers and can't be wholly judged as an indicator of true performance, but the Germany team seemed close to their 'true' team to me. Belgium team was also not much different to their likely starting line up, and Portugal only had Ronaldo missing (like they did in the Euro final for the most part) but that game was a bore draw and German lost to a very average team. Even a Germany B team should be beating Austria.

How can you not? Its the FIFA WORLD CUP. It happens once in every 4 years. Russians are actually quite famous for losing crucial matches against weak opponents. I would expect Russia to win their match against Saudi Arabia, but won't be much surprised if they lose it.

I doubt they'll lose this one. Saudi are probably one of the worst teams in the torunament and they're in their home country remember. They'll probably get out of their group but can't see them going further than that.

For me, this World cup 2018 will be a great football carnival than any other time because a lot of countries have formed very nice team such as Brazil, Germany, Spain, Franch, Argentina, Belgium, and England also. those teams are really too strong to raise the Cup. So you can't predict any one team regarding Champion.

That would sort of be useless because if he isn't able to play the group matches i don't think Egypt is good enough to qualify without him playing in the team. To me, Germany is the biggest favorite. Not only because of they are the defending champs, they still have a very massive, stable machine with enough talent. My other would be either Brazil or Spain, but do not count out Belgian team as well. However, a team that has Messi or Ronaldo, two all-time greats, always has a chance to go for the title.

Honestly, though, you can't just go to a World Cup depending on a single player. They should accept the fact that Salah won't be 100% fit in WC to carry the entire team on his back and just hope for the best. Btw, I watched some highlights of the match between Egypt vs Colombia...let's just say that, without Mo Salah, I'd be surprised if Egypt manages to score a single goal in the group stage.

I don't think any team will struggle against Saudi. Saudi could struggle to score at all I think, though maybe they'll get lucky. Egypt probably won't be up to much without Salah so I think Russia and Uruguay should easily go through from that group.

I'm really hoping to see Salah play, it was such a disappointment to not see him complete the final match, had he been on pitch the results would have been different. It's really boiling down and I'm thinking of taking a early bet on England being knocked out early. i think is the right time to place your bet about the winners or finalist team of the FIFA WC and my prediction is :
1-brazil X5 (combination of the best defence and best midfielders and skillful strikers , most organized team )
2-spain X6 ( la roja is the team who could create the most occasion and goals , lot of experience)
