For me Germany and Brazil both most favorite for this world cup as both have some good young exciting players which can change games any time after them Spain and Belgium because these also going with very exciting players France is not good as they will hardly reach in last four

Of the 3 candidates you mentioned, I doubt France. I personally doubt the quality of France has long even in the Euro yesterday as well. If for Germany, they are the strongest candidates, player quality is evenly distributed in every position.

I agree with you. France has little chance of lifting the world cup this time. I have checked various betting sites and the favorites seems to be Brazil, followed by Germany. Some of the betting sites such as Skybet has given equal odds for both Brazil and Germany (9/2).
If you look at the quality of players, indeed the three teams have a desire to win in FIF WORLD CUP 2018. But in the world of football there will always be surprises, like Italy who have good quality players but they do not qualify to appear in FIFA WORLD CUP. There is a possibility the three teams will not win.

But in predicting, we definitely see from the quality of players in each team. I'm sure nobody predicted Egypt would be a champion (except Egyptians citizens) based solely on "surprise". Surprise will emerge later, after the tournament begins, every predicted champion will definitely pasa strong teams such as Germany, Brazil, Argentina not on the teams are ordinary.
I predict surprises will emerge from countries that are not seeded at all. like Portugal which is not a favorite in the world cup, Portugal gave a surprise when they get the Euro trophy when beating Francis 1-0. Portugal will undergo the first phase which will be more difficult as it is a group with Spain. In addition, teams like Germany, France and Brazil will be big challenges for Ronaldo cs after qualifying from the group phase.
Nobody ever imagined Portugal winning that match or rather it was all due to luck if you ask me. This is what we humans don’t consider while making predictions. We depend on facts and information. If we keep this fate factor on one side for some moment and give prediction for the winner of this FIFA, it would be definitely Brazil or Germany. For me, it is Brazil as it has many good players.
Obviously Brazil and Germany have better quality players from Portugal, Portugal is relying more on Ronaldo. And if I review it, the luck factor alone is never enough in football. Good luck must be accompanied by a mature strategy. Then what about a coach if the club / country only relies on luck? Where is their credibility?

Everything is good about the French, their bread, their kiss and and food but when it comes to as a national team they have underperformed for some reason, recently however pogba and Griezmann are forming a deadly combo.

Argentina I don't even think they'll make it far in the tournament.

England may cause upsets but don't think they'll last the tournament long enough.

Germany and Spain are the two teams I'll bet to lift the cup this year.

Any predictions about FIFA World Cup 2018?

Who might get the 2018’s World Cup?

Can anyone successfully predict it?

there are three best candidates now, german, french, and brazil who have many young players who are full of experience and have long been back they have no experience playing, but for now, their experience is enough to make a new breakthrough and give color on the world cup now

Of the 3 candidates you mentioned, I doubt France. I personally doubt the quality of France has long even in the Euro yesterday as well. If for Germany, they are the strongest candidates, player quality is evenly distributed in every position.

You got to be kidding me. How can you even doubt France's ability? Have you seen the depth in their squad? Let's begin with the Forwards. We have Griezmann, Giroud, Mbappe, Martial, Coman, Payet. In what universe is the starting weak? Coming down to midfield, we have Pogba, Matuidi, Anelka. Defence is again as strong as it can get with the likes of Raphael Varane. I am definitely counting on France to lift this year's world cup. My second contender would be Argentina.
I'm with you on France, they have a great team, same squad than the one we saw in the last WC and the 2016 Euro, but with a lot more experience .

Now, Argetina as a candidate? maybe they are contender because of their history in World Cups but other than that...did you see the team in the WC qualification? the team was a complete disaster from start to finish, if it wasn't because they had Messi in that last match against Ecuador, they wouldn't be in this World Cup. And that last match vs Spain a month ago? they lost 6-1, abysmal performance with a manager who doesn't even know what the team is playing (tactics) and still doesn't which players he should have in the final 23-man WC squad. IMO, France, Germany, Brazil, Spain, have a higher chance of winning this world cup than Argentina.

My personal favorite is Spain followed closely by Germany and Belgium. I don't like the French team. They were heavily favoured be the referees during Euro 2016. I also think Brazil don't have a very strong team any more. I expect the World Cup winners to hail from Europe  Wink

It is possible that the winner may come outside these three (Germany, Brazil or France). Argentina can be a strong contender, although they are in pathetic form right now. Other teams worth mentioning are Spain, Belgium, England and Portugal.

I completely agree with you about France. However, why do you estimate Argentina so high?

They were one step away from missing the World Cup and got there only because of Messi's greatness. Surely, the main result of this situation was Bauza. But Sampaoli also didn't manage to improve the quality of the game. From my point of view, it's too early to add Argentina to the list of favorites, because nearly everything for them depends on the quality of Sampoli's work during next few months. If he can find suitable players' combinations and tactical decisions, they will surely have nice chances on a long run. But if they continue play the way they did in the qualification, I am afraid even Messi will not be able to do all the job alone, because opponents will be much stronger than Ecuador.

I think Belgium makes a chance to win the world cup. It is now or never. A lot of the Belgian players are highly talented and play brilliantly at topclubs, so if Martinez is able to really create a team, than the field is open for Belgium.
I only see Eden hazard as a best Belgium player who is also playing in one of the greatest clubs on the world. Beside him, I see no other player of Belgium who has made his name like Hazard because there is no such talent present in that country.

However, I totally go with Brazil and for supporting Brazil, there is a solid reason and which is that they are to take revenge from other countries due to last loss.

Huh? Only Hazard?!!! Come one! Surely you have heard about Kevin de Bruyne "who is currently playing for the best ream in England and under the best manager currently". The second best if not the best player in the EPL this season, competing with Mo Salah. They have a very good keeper Thibaut Courtois, In the Middle they have Dembele one of the EPLs best box-to-box player. Lukaku upfront. Most of their squad players have been tried and tested in the EPL the best league in the world. Belgium are force to reckon with.

Spot on with your comment! Hazard, De Bruyne, Lukaku, Kompany, Courtois, Vermaelen,... are all players who have already made their marks! In almost every department Belgium has a top player who compete at the highest level.

I will pick brazil because I think this time they have lots of quality players like Neymar,Jesus,D costa, Marcelo etc.The most important thing is this time brazil have young talents with experienced players like Marcelo,Dani Alves, T Silva.Brazil also showed very good performance on World Cup selection and friendly matches. So overall, I believe Neymar will lift the WC trophy this time for Brazil.
I am also a supporter of Brazil this time. This team has the most potential and it will beat the hell out of Germany rather I wish it will. People think Germany has more chances to grab the trophy. Looks like they have not seen the players of Brazil team yet. Neymar Jr. is the best of the best. Not only him but there are skilled players like Dani, Marcelo, D Costa, Silva. Anyways, let the fun begin!

People still remember what Germany did on Last world cup. They beat Brazil by 7-1.Brazil have to play well from the first on this world cup.No doubt Germany have quality players like kroos,Gotze.etc.But this time brazil have some excellent talented players who are capable of beat any team in the world. So I think brazil have much possibility to win this world cup.

In case somebody missed the news (like me), 2 weeks ago Vahid Halilhodzic was fired from the Japan National team: https://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2018/04/09/sports/soccer/ap-soc-japan-coach.html

He was replaced by Akira Nishino, who has been technical director of the Japanese football association during last 2 years. Last time he was a coach, he finished on 10 place with Nagoya Grampus in J-League in 2015  Undecided
"Will Japan advance from Group H? - No" - 1.39 right now on Pinnacle.

Sad to see it. I liked Halilhodzic's Algeria in Brazil 4 years ago.
