Fortunately for Russia, they are placed in an easier group along with Uruguay, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Apart from Uruguay, none of the other teams are stronger than Russia. So my advice would be to bet in favor of Russia progressing from Group A.

The total market value of 25 Russian players from the last list is 125,80 Mill. €. For 28 Egypt players, it's 128,48 Mill. €. Surely, it doesn't reflect the whole balance of strength, but take into consideration facts Russian most experienced defenders Ignashevich and brothers Alexey and Vasiliy Berezutskiy ended playing for the national team, current best defenders Dzhikia and Vasin got injured and the gap in skill between coaches Cherchesov and Hector Cuper and it doesn't seem so great for Russia as you supposed.

With the World Cup just months away does injuries to major star effect their team morale in any way. Neymar for Brazil he's their talisman and if he fails to recover it'll be a big loss, harry for England, and ageuro for Argentina they all are nursing injuries. I feel this World Cup could be dull due to injuries and secondly the hostile nature of the host is not doing any good to participants.
Injuries just two months prior to the world cup are a devastating blow for any team, to see that one of your teammates (especially someone from the starting XI) might not play in the world cup after years and years of preparation...I think it does affect the team morale.

For example, Neymar, he's the leader of national team, the best player in Brazil, the guy who couldn't play in some games in the last world cup due to an injury, the whole team was expecting to see him play in this Worl Cup...but just imagine how sad and worried his teammates must after watching him on TV the other day using crutches, he could barely sit on the chair. So yes, injuries affect the team morale, but they're profesional players so i'm sure they know how to deal with these sort of situations.

Injury is a nightmare for every soccer's team especially if the person who got injured is the key player. The morale and the confidence can be down. But the show must go on. A team has to prepare with the plan B if something unexpected happened before or during the world cup games.

so why is most of these prediction based on countries in europe?

Did you can see what happened in the last quarter final CL Barca vs Rome  and Real madrid vs Juve?

Both two spanish giant almost got eliminate by these two other italian team!
Sadly, the referee had to apply football politic's in the match against juve in order not to loose the number's of fan's who will be helding to watch the final competition.

To them semifinal and final competition's will be non-profitable biz without these two team.

So, my prediction goes to any country in Africa. Probably Nigerian's because they are having one of the young/fast growing soccer team in Africa.

Thanks

Well anything can happen and you are right, even big teams like barcelona lose to AS Roma 3-0. I'm not sure about African country but maybe they have chance to semi final, i think Egypt can do big this year because of Salah. It's sad though no Italy in the world cup 2018 this year.
But that does not happen very often. Every champion can come across failure if it is not his day but most of the time, skillset is all that matters. Everyone has his own reasons and I am with Brazil. I see this team as the most potential one. Most important is, to enjoy the world cup and not miss out any match. This game is not just a game but a feeling. There would be suspense and unexpected wins too. Who knows what FIFA has for us this time?

Any predictions about FIFA World Cup 2018?

Who might get the 2018’s World Cup?

Can anyone successfully predict it?

Just like cryptocurrency wherein we can guess exactly what will happen in the future but i think Germany is still the favorite team to win the 2018 World Cup. I may be wrong on this one but definitely they will advance to the final four.

"Will Russia win Group A?" - No" for 1.42 and "Will Russia advance from Group A?" - No" for 3.10 on Pinnacle seems very nice for me. I am Russian and I don't understand, why our team is estimated so high. Maybe the main reason is playing at home, but as for me, I don't believe in them. Right now we have one of the weakest football generations for many years and definitely the worst coach for a long time. Even if they confirm the odds and win Saudi Arabia, I don't see the way but a luck for our defense to hold Mo Salah and Cavani.

To be fair, people always say that the country hosting the world cup seems to get some kind of plus in their game because they're playing at home. But I don't see Russia winning the group nor advancing to the next round, however, I think they might be able to win against Saudi Arabia. It's the opening match, you have your fans supporting you, I think they'll definitely play their hearts out in that match, it could be the only chance they'll have to get some points.

Spain seems very obvious choice for me, very well balanced team, haven't faced a loss for 18 games now. If i had to pick a 'surprise' winner I'd go with Colombia/Mexico.

In my opinion there will be some countries that compete strongly in the world cup later.
1. Germany
Seeing the squad that is owned by Germany, they can become World Cup champion 2018. Moreover, Germany won the Confederations Cup 2017. In the test event ahead of the 2018 World Cup, Germany is not strengthened by the main players.
It shows how strong this team is, also on the young side of the player. How many high-quality young players possessed by German football today.
2. France
Many young players that make France a great opportunity to lift the trophy at the end of the tournament. Moreover, they inhabited the world's most expensive midfielder, Paul Pogba, who experienced bringing France won the U-20 World Cup 2013.
3. Brazil
Since handled the former Corinthians tactics tactician as of August 2016, Brazil's performance is indeed increasing. In addition to tactical mixing skills, Tite also managed to find brilliant players like Gabriel Jesus, who still defends Palmeiras, and Paulinho, who fascinates with Guangzhou Evergrande.
Brazil is clearly eyeing the championship trophy. If they become the best in the 2018 World Cup, they will pack six trophies, winning two titles from Germany and Italy.

Unsurprisingly when it comes to predictions about which nation will win the fifa world cup of 2018 is Germany, after the the strong start in the qualification last tournament wining all four games in its category and the fact that they have beaten Brazil on their soil with a seven to null score, and having a strong team full of professional players, no doubt that they are a strong candidate to win this time again.

In Russian conditions, Germany may perform better than Brazil. Russian climate is very different from that in the tropical nations and those teams from Latin America will find it extremely challenging to adjust to the new surroundings. However, Brazil is in good form recently.
Lol, what do you mean Russian conditions? Summer in Russia weather conditions is pretty much similar like in whole Europe, matches will be played in new stadiums with perfect pitch. I don't know why teams from Latin America should face difficulties, mostly of their players are playing in European clubs, so there wont be nothing new them.
But conditions in next World Cup in Qatar may be an important factor.

It's  too early to start predicting what will happen when we didn't even know the total number or teams that would even be participating in the tournament if the rows between Russia and other western countries. Let's say they all participated, we then need to know how many are going to make it beyond Round 16. Its when they get to Quarter final we can start the prediction of which team will win or lose because at this time major teams might end up being the first set to drop out.

Germany is the most Favorite in the World Cup later. For Brazil I'm not too sure, one thing I want to see from Brazil in the world cup later is whether they dare to use Firmino as false nine like in Liverpool? he is very effective at doing it at Liverpool this season, or will take advantage of Gabriel Jesus' positioning. Brazil with a lot of inexperienced young players in the World Cup, I do not really expect to Brazil in the world cup russia

Germany will stay ahead. Seeing the German squad, they can win the 2018 World Cup. Moreover, Germany won the 2017 Confederations Cup. In a test event ahead of the 2018 World Cup, Germany was not reinforced by the main players.
If the luck is not going to make any move, then I also think Germany can win this world cup. It has the most potential but Brazil can give it a tough competition. Now that I have mentioned Brazil, isn’t it underestimation of such a capable team to not even consider it worthy of winning FIFA. I am putting my money on Neymar. In my opinion, he with his team can smoke Germany easily.

Very interesting world cup this time, I see a lot of news that many influential players in his country mostly will not be present and make me more question mark with the country I like, but it is true Germany and Spain many chances to get to the final round.
When we do based on previous years we would really include on the list into those past champions where we do can presume that those will really go to final round. Germany and Spain is quiet common but we should take consideration into other teams as well and as being said above by some members newer generation will really have some other plays either would be more better or less which we can really see changes on here. Its hard to predict yet which team but atleast I would still stick into my favorite  Wink
