Morocco made me proud. I wasn’t expecting them to win but I knew that they weren’t going to concede more than a goal in the match. They have been defensively clinical and in a good shape since the started of the World Cup. Hornestly this match really made my day. Morocco would have won them outrightly if they had converted those late chances. Now they’ll have to beat Portugal to progress to the semifinals. I know this is going to be the hardest game for them. Portugal is a different team with a direct and penetrating type of play. I trust Morocco to contain them.
Morocco delivered an outstanding performance. When a big team that everyone expects to win a match loses, everyone gets taken aback. Football is full of tragic and thrilling moments. Morocco has made the African continents proud, and they are now fighting to advance past the strong Portugal to the semifinals. We can't say much about the game, but the odds favor Portugal, but let’s not be surprised that the impossible will happen again.
I can't see Croatia winning against Brazil really. Brazil is just too skilled, and they can score easily from anywhere and with different techniques.
Even if Croatia scores early, Brazil will end up scoring more in the end.
Maybe if they end up tied Croatia could win in penalties though.
Croatia will struggle to even hold Brazil for 90 minutes in order to tie the game. If they can't stop Brazil from scoring, perhaps they should modify their game plan. I won't claim Croatia is a weak team at this World Cup, but in order to match Brazil's style of play, they must also step up their game. Croatia, I believe, will play a more defensive game than an offensive one in order to limit Brazil to a tie. Their best chance of winning against Brazil will be to go to penalties.
