Not saying that Kevin De Bruyne or Eden Hazard were any better, but as a whole the team failed to perform during this world cup. And the biggest joke is that a few months back, Belgium used to be the no.1 team as per the FIFA World Rankings. This also shows the inaccuracies within the ranking system. FIFA needs to work on this.

Belgium's main weakness was the poor bonding between their players. Their match strategy was not good. The coach could not perform his duties properly. So the players as well as their coach are responsible for such a bad result of Belgium. At the same time, Lukaku can certainly be blamed for Belgium's poor performance. He missed an easy opportunity. Missing an easy chance in a do-or-die match makes winning the match difficult. One of the reasons for Belgium's performance today was the poor performance of the forward players.

Exactly, several people have realized this.

As a result of Thursday's 0-0 draw with Croatia, Belgium was eliminated from the World Cup. Luka Modric leads Croatia, the runner-up from 2018, into the World Cup attempting a deep run. Belgium has a lot of club stars, but none of them are active internationally. It is a pity that this generation has left nothing behind, but perhaps their next generation will do better. There are some good players in the Belgium team. But their main weakness is their poor team performance. The better the understanding between the players, the better their overall performance. But the understanding between the players was not good. Especially their attacking performance was very poor. They managed to score only one goal in three matches. Despite having star players like De Bruyne, Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku, Belgium's attack was weak. This is really disappointing.

This reminds me of their in-fighting hehe. Some of the members can't take the simple fact that they're old so they turn on De Bruyne. It must be extremely disappointing for their fans to know that the generation of stars or their so-called golden era couldn't produce a title for their country.

This is a tournament to remember for the delegation from Africa. Two countries have managed to make it to the round of 16 upsetting football powerhouses. Ghana will probably join them soon as Uruguay hasn't been that impressive.

I don't expect Brazil to meet Portugal too soon, as one of them has to go home, but it looks like Brazil's chances of meeting Portugal in the last 16 will not materialise, if both manage to finish top of their group. Currently, Brazil and Portugal have both collected 6 points and there is still one game left before heading to the round of 16. Therefor it looks that the opportunity to meet is very small, as long as Portugal Wins Against South Korea and Brazil Must Also Win When Facing Cameroon.

Portugal and Brazil face off in the round of 16 seems unlikely. Both will qualify for the knockout rounds as group champions. That generally seems to be the case, unless they are badly beaten in today's match. Also if Switzerland or Ghana win by a big margin. But the chances of that happening are quite low. They are now in a very good position after winning two matches. Switzerland will play against Portugal and Ghana against Brazil.

With globalization, more players from Africa and Asia transferred to Europe to play. After a few decades, now they have many players who are important in big clubs and play in big leagues. Therefore their players have more experience with matches at top level and their quality and mentality improved a lot. We can see difference between South Korea, Japan, Iran and Quatar. Quatar won Asian Cup two years ago and they won against biggest teams in Asia but they are nothing in this World Cup.

Experience to play in World Cup is valuable and can not achieve with money only. Japan, Korea and Iran have had many World Cups that make them stronger after each one.

Really sad what Spain has played today again and i guess that everybody have expected a clearly win for them.
Also sad that Germany have not made to the next around as they have got the chance for it as they missed so many chances in there game ,
it would be possible for them to score the 7 goals they needed but they faild at least the won there game but that was not enough.
