There is no doubt about good performance and quality game from Australia as most of the time they were dominating in this game, but luck was not with them just because of this Argentina able to win this match and now qualify for the quarterfinal of this game against the Netherlands but things now really going to test for them because they are going to face quality team which is also at their best for this spot and now want to end in last four which is surely not easy for the both teams.

Australia were having good performance and quality game, but things were not in their favour, so they lost against Argentina and now their campaign is also ended with this result of 2 - 1 but still they need to improve their quality for having better results in next world cup which is going to play into three countries with 48 teams and surely this is going to be one of the best event in soccer history.

Australia is not in a condition that can keep up with Argentina, their quality is much different from Lionel Scaloni's team, the second goal occurred due to the goalkeeper making a mistake by trying to make a risky move, while the game was dominated by Argentina, Lionel Messi made a big impact on the match this time and managed to score one goal using a pass from Nicolas Otamendi. I agree, that is the kind of mistake I could accept at the amateur level but not on a world cup, this is supposed to be the tournament that brings the best of the world to compete for the glory and the goalkeeper of Australia makes that mistake? While they did their best and there was a lapse of time in which they put Argentina in some trouble, especially near the end of the game, the truth is that a team that makes such a mistake does not deserve to move to the next round no matter how good they are.

It is true that the result of the match could have been different If that goal wasn't happen. I also initially thought it was just a goalkeeper's mistake but now I don't just blame the goalkeeper for that goal because I think their defenders were also at fault, there were already a few Argentinian players but he took a the risk to pass goal keeper. Even though Australia lost I think their performance wasn't that bar against a big team like Argentina .

I think Netherlands will not lose their next match, because i believe that next team in line that Netherlands will play with is going to be with Spain, and it is believable that Netherlands will can't withstand Spain the way I'm seeing the methods Spain plays and the methods Netherlands plays also. It's not for being a first to emerge finalists in the world cup, because everyone knows that U.S.A have no good performance in soccer games, so many people knew that Netherlands will not withstand Spain if they meet.

Probably the Netherlands team will face Argentina in the next round. But these two groups have the same problem. Both their attacks are strong but their defenses are weak. There is no reason to think that Argentina's defense is strong. They lost against KSA due to poor defense. In today's match, they conceded a goal against Australia only because of a defender's mistake. Therefore, the Netherlands vs Argentina match will be one of the most competitive matches of this year's World Cup.

When it comes to football we all know USA is not a strong country, I was suprised they even qualified from group stage, but I knew they won't go far, I knew USA is going to lose today's match against Netherlands. USA is one of the least country which I believe can win world cup for now.

Argentina's second goal came due to a big mistake by Australia's goalkeeper. He tried to make very risky moves while there were two Argentina players around him and he failed. It must be one of the easiest goals for Alvarez. Grin

We are clearly seeing that Australia can't take a big pressure much. Argentina needed to raise the pressure level to secure the win and it is what they have done so far. This is still an achievement for Australia to reach this round of course. Because they weren't among the favourites to qualify from their group.
