My main concern is how Qatar as an Islamic state will manage all the influx of the fan with different mindset and non islamic background
Also how will they manage the security of their country? They already depend on other country for the man power
I will not lead to religious matters because I do not have the capacity to do so. but when you see Qastar with all his preparations it's clear they know what they have to do now and it looks like something like this will not hinder religion because indeed they are united with football and of course it has nothing to do with religion.

I think Group C is a very easy group for Argentina which I consider one of the big favorites to win the tournament if not the biggest one.Saudi Arabia is the worst team here so most probably it will be eliminated,Poland maybe a good team in Europe but against Argentina they definitely stand no chance at all,if they get a draw I would be extremely surprised. The clash with Mexico I think may offer a level of surprise but I highly doubt Mexico to be a threat for Argentina after Argentina will win the two games against Saudi Arabia and Poland.

All other big teams like Netherlands,Brazil,Portugal,England are all in easy groups.
Argentina will get to the finals most likely and it will be a shock to see them leaving soon. Group stage should be a trip for them.
Poland might be the second team to pass unless Mexico performed better.
Right now there is many friendlies being played. Of course they don't reflect the right skills of each team but give an idea. For example Brazil chose to play vs Ghana and Tunisia to get an indirect idea about Cameroon. They won with 3 goals to 0 against Ghana and the odds for Tunisia is @16 Lips sealed
Brazil is the true challenge for Argentina imo.

Argentina should be easy as you said, but I think Poland and Mexico is probably a match at eye level. Given the whole situation and how much is on the line, I don't remember Mexico as a team that is easy to beat at all. It is not like they are getting obliterated 3:0 each game. If Mexico has a good day and a decent portion of luck I think that's a game that might very well end in a draw. It is more likely that Poland could have the better goal statistics at the end of the group stage because of the game against Saudi Arabia, but Mexico against Poland will be a close call.

Sure Poland could always have a head start against Mexico, but if Mexico can keep a clean sheet for quite a while into the game it might be tougher than we might think. Usually Mexico had a stronger offender in the past, but now I must confess I am not really into the Mexican team too much. That might be a weapon they lack in order for them to even win against teams like Poland or score lots of goals against Saudi Arabia.

I personally think that Portugal is a very good team even without Ronaldo and that they don't depend only on him.
After all, in today's modern football, one player cannot influence the result much by himself and the strength of the team is much more important.
Do you remember when Portugal became European champions a few years ago?
Due to Ronaldo's injury, Portugal played almost the entire final match against France without Ronaldo and eventually won without him and became the European champion.
Ronaldo is playing really bad at the moment and I don't think it's very certain that he will play for Portugal in every game from the start, just because of his reputation.

Well balanced teams (such as Spain and Brazil) have their own advantage, but that doesn't mean that it will be impossible for individual based teams such as Portugal and Belgium to win. When a team is heavily dependent on one player (Ronaldo for Portugal, Erling Håland for Norway and Lukaku for Belgium), there are both advantages and disadvantages. The opposition defense can focus on a single player and if they manage to restrict him then it will get difficult for the other team to score goals.

I can partially agree with you. Everything really depends on the team and the game strategy of the coach. A good coach knows how to get the most out of his team, exploiting the team's best sides and covering the team's bad sides with additional solutions.
If the players can unite with their coach's vision and support the main player of the team, then it can work.
Ronaldo is not playing well in Manchester at the moment and it will be interesting to see how much he can help Portugal at the World Cup.

I doubt for now, ronaldo is really not playing well in the league competition. his performance has decreased drastically plus Ten Hag "Manchester United coach" does not place him as the main starter. this clearly makes the portugal fans have concerns about ronaldo, the only goal he scored was only from the penalty spot during the match against FC Sheriff in the Europa league competition. the rest, ronaldo does not contribute much to the premier league and European league competitions.

I doubt whether Fernando Santos will put him as the main starter in his core squad. obviously, this will have a big impact on the performance of the squad as a whole especially if ronaldo can't recover his form ahead of the world cup.

I am sure that his form will recover ahead of the world cup. Anyway, he will be an integral part of the squad and irrespective of whether he is in form or not, the opposing team will be majorly focusing on how to contain him. Now this presents an ideal opportunity to the other forwards. Either they need to make use of this and score goals by themselves, or need to divert the attention of opposition defenders (so that Ronaldo can score). Anyway, this is his last world cup and if Portugal can reach at least the semi-final stage, then it will be good.

Portugal is captained by one of the best players in the world. And they have a very experienced squad as well. A number of the team members have completed 100 matches for the national team. But the problem is that without Ronaldo they can't win matches. And in case the opponents are able to properly confine Ronaldo, then the other players don't have the capability to launch counter attacks. All that said, I would still love to see Portugal lifting the trophy this time. Their main opponents in Group H are Uruguay. Ghana and South Korea are unlikely to create much issues for them.

I would like to add Portugal and Spain to your teams too.
The world cup is not so far and we all are very excited on knowing how Qatar as an Islamic state will create a balance between different cultures
True, well remembered...

I forgot to mention Spain and maybe Argentina, but humbly saying I don't know if Portugal will be able to win this World Cup, but it would be very beautiful to see Portugal winning its first World Cup and to see Cristiano Ronaldo lifting the champion's cup!!

Portugal national team coach Fernando Santos has guaranteed Cristiano Ronaldo will fly to Qatar to play for Portugal in the 2022 World Cup. Santos is not worried about Ronaldo's lack of playing time with Manchester United. Ronaldo continues to be very important for the national team, says the Portugal coach. Ronaldo's situation is always monitored by Santos and that also applies to other players. Although Cristiano Ronaldo is currently not playing regularly with Manchester United, Santos said it will not affect his role with Portugal.

Spain has a crazy good team, also Argentina has an incredibly level.

Those two will definitely go to the next stage. But it's hard to know if they will manage to actually win the world cup. There are just too many other good teams.

I just think that Brazil has great chances to win. It's never easy to predict which team will actually end up winning as there are many talented teams in the world cup.

From the top of my head I would say Germany, Spain, France, Argentina, and Brazil are capable of winning the world cup.
Look, unfortunately I say that it will be difficult for Brazil to be champion of this World Cup lol

The Brazilian team has changed a lot and had several changes in its squad, it will be difficult for him to be champion, but it is not impossible lol
I even believe that Germany, Holland, France and even Belgium are excellent teams that can be champions!

Let's see what this World Cup will show us

I watched Russia's matches because they played in the qualifying group with Croatia and they didn't impress me at all. They played a lot of games poorly and were lucky to get points.
Slovakia completely outplayed them in the match in Russia and completely undeservedly lost the key match for second place in the group and additional qualifications.
Russia quite luckily made it to the additional qualifications for the World Cup, but there they would have no chance of qualifying for the World Cup.
Macedonia's successes are no longer a surprise. Before Italy, they also beat Germany away from home. Only those who have not been following this national team lately can be surprised. This is a great team.

Historically, Russia has been a very volatile team. Sometimes they perform really well and then for sometime they perform horribly. But I thought that they did well in the UEFA qualifiers. They were placed in a tough group along with Croatia, and still managed to finish second (Croatia had 23 points, Russia ended with 22). They were supposed to play against Poland but the latter made a complaint against them and got a walkover. And POland managed to qualify for the world cup, by defeating Sweden in the playoff.

Well, Poland is a terrifying team, but I think that if Sweden did qualify, it was Ibrahimovic's last World Cup, first of all there is one thing that at least leaves a bad taste in my mouth, thanks to a problem that has to be seen completely outside of sport has affected the Russian team, this is something that should not enter, much less mix, because sport is apart from political problems, however this is a geo-political problem where little soccer players were affected who did not even want to war, it's hard when you want to emerge and because of a nationality they don't give value to your effort just for being of a nationality, you see these things emotionally affect many.

~snip~
Just no only Brazil most of the top rank teams are coming here with great chance of winning this event because these are feeling they are done enough work for this and have 100% chance and as you are saying from your top of the head these teams having better chance then we are also have heads, and they are also feeling on this way but with different teams like right now many are feeling England is also going to be in last four and few are insisting about Croatia and Netherlands as these are also having quality and skill players.

But the main thing is going to be happened in ground and for this we have to wait for nearly two months as preparations are in last stage and hopefully soon we will have squads announcements as well which will give better shape for this event and its outcome.

Yeah, The Netherlands is an incredibly strong team, another candidate for winning the trophy. England might do it, but I'm personally not too sure about it, I think they will end up in the semis, or maybe runner up at most. And Croatia, well, they're good, but it would be a surprise if they end up winning the world cup.

But you never know in football, that's part of the charm.

For me, these things with the Netherlands are because they clearly haven't had any kind of luck, for me it's already a matter of luck, the Netherlands has always had a great team and I hope that in this World Cup they can go very far and why not? win the World Cup, there are some players who have been very good and iconic, for me one of the greatest was Roben, who was about to win the World Cup, but not by fate, I think that the Netherlands should change their way of playing play at least when they are going to be in a final match, because they usually lose it, so the Dutch have long deserved this cup, but since things are not given away they have to show better football than France, England, Brazil, Argentina , Germany which are the teams that are favorites to win.

So, you have concluded that a South American country will win the world cup? I beg to disagree with you judging by their past experience and the present team they have. Maybe you are looking at the side of Neymar and Messi, they can't do anything, you can mark my word for it. I have always respected them for their good football, but have you ever traced their performances in recent times? Their team will fail but they might reach the quarter-final. Argentina will not reach the semi-final even if Brazil would. Mark my words. I will always bet on Germany to take this trophy.

IMO, germany will not go further than the top 8, their squad has a lot of shortcomings than the french squad which incidentally has far more depth than germany.

indeed there is no guarantee at all, it all depends on teamwork within a football squad.
However, if you calculate the strength from an individual perspective, France is more superior to Germany, you can even say when compared to other teams from the European continent.

Once again I say, this is only based on my opinion and analysis, not at all determining the truth.
As you already mention there is no guarantee for any team to be in last eight I agree here even on papers France is one of the most suitable team for this year's event but most chances we will have upsets as well in this event because prediction is not easy even with two months remaining in this event and all games will be decided in ground not on papers and talks. Germany is surely had no good depth, but France with very good squad have few issues which need to resolve otherwise they are going to lose badly without any good chance to reach into last four and no other team is currently had issues like these.

With this all, as many are mentioning in their posts they have no perfect prediction about which eight teams are going to be in last eight, we have to wait for the start of this event for better results and updates.

In this case, I think predictions are a natural thing, we all predict which squad will win the world cup trophy this year, everyone who loves football will choose their favorite team to win this world cup. without data and analysis, everyone can speculate and there is no justification in our discussion, in fact this discussion becomes an interesting part of adding knowledge that someone previously did not know, especially when it involves betting in it.

As for the outcome of a match is a different matter.

I personally do not underestimate Germany, especially for the French squad which has an even depth of players. however, according to the understanding I have I try to analyze with the existing data. And this time, I favor Argentina as champion. but back again as I have said in many of my posts, regarding the results later, we will get concrete answers after this world cup starts.
