How as an individual can I know if the Earth is a sphere or a flat disc? What experiment can I do that doesn't involve trusting information from a 3rd party that would prove what the geometry really is?

This theory states that the Earth is flat, and we are able to travel 'around' it in the same way that Pacman moves instantly from the top to the bottom of the screen, or from one side to the other. I also randomly came across a video with a woman who mentioned that she's a flatearther. I had heard about this idea briefly in the past, but I think know it's a "real thing". She seemed so serious and convinced that it's true. I looked into it and found there there are really a lot of people that talk about it. I spent a few hours watching different videos about how people explain this idea. There are so many holes in their logic and it is very unscientific. One of the funniest things is how much time they spend trying to explain how photos of the earth for space are all a hoax. They think it's a massive conspiracy between all the governments and space programs of the world. It was interesting to hear what absurd things people think it. It was also interesting to see what rebuttal videos people have made explaining how real science works. I've been all the way around the world. It's not flat.

What a fucking joke, I understand the globe theory better than anybody else here. It's because of this understanding that I can say without a doubt the Earth is a flat and motionless plane. The globe is a fraud, a hoax and a lie.

This article states that the Sagnac experiment proves the aether "A shift in the interference pattern is exactly what the aether model predicts." A direct quote that contradicts the title of the article proves it's misleading and intellectually dishonest.
It then tries to whitewash the result by claiming it didn't disprove relativity because it (relativity) doesn't apply to rotating systems. Dufour and Prunier totally blow this argument out of the water by proving the results are in fact not consistent with relativity:
