Yes, it's all about money and in the name of the business as well. Win or loss he can still have money on that fight and he is confident that he win that fight. He didn't feel ashamed of what they said on Manny Pacquiao team that Floyd Mayweather there's no interest of boxing career and wanted to resign but now he fights against with Myster Boxer. Another exhibition match is on the way this coming July for Floyd Mayweather. The opponent remains un-named as of this moment and all they know for now is he is a "former Japanese boxer", fight will be held in Japan and it will be in July this year and he will be paid $10 Million USD for this match. According to the news posted by TMZ, Floyd still have 4-5 matches this year and all matches combined can earn him $80 Million USD.

I really do not see how this is any good for the sport or for the upcoming hopeful Pacman fight. If he is making this much from these small fights he may not even try to go for a fight with Pacman or at least will have such a huge upperhand that he will probably say he wants most of the cut from the Pacman fight which in return will make Pacman decline the fight.
I mean these fights last only couple minutes and we have seen from that kickboxer dude that Mayweather is just miles miles away from him and the talent level is just not even close. Dude straight up humiliated that fighter and if he keeps on doing that for whole year I doubt he will have any entertainment value left in him. He is probably milking his last dimes from the sport and I hope he fights with Pacman as well but after that he better have good investments because dude is getting super old super quickly and will eventually be too old to fight.

He just wanted to be relevant I guess. He says he quit and retired, but it's hard to leave boxing itself because that what made him famous. But I can't really understand Japanese promotions willing to get Floyd that bigger money, how can they make their money back since its based on Japan only? Yes, Floyd is a brand name itself, but its just confined in Japan to an extend to some Asian countries I don't know how can they recover it back, to be honest.

I thought this is only a single match but it do clears out that this would be 4-5 matches that will able for him to earn $80M usd. Not bad actually if those boxers arent just good enough or typically an exhibition match.As a boxer you wont really able to refuse such offer. Imagine earning $10M on a very simple bout wont really put you in any hesitations not to agree.

Well, I watched his youtube video and he didn't mention the name of the Japanese boxer, what he said his the boxer is former Japanese boxer and I believe he haven't know his name either. He might not mentioned the names, but if its on another Japanese fighter, and as I have said in previous threads, Japanese boxers didn't compete in a high weight class, never seen them competing in the weight class where Mayweather at, so this is really not something boxing fans wanted to see to in July, another glorified sparring session. Anyhow, it's evident that he is afraid to fight Manny Pacquiao so there's nothing we can do and let the fans judge his reputation as he is becoming more of a joke fighter really.

All of mayweather's recent fights are simply for the money. I mean, we all know he's going to win regardless of whoever that mystery boxer is because that's what he does, win fights. But it's becoming more like a circus really.
