All of this exhibition fight just for money, i wonder why Mayweather wouldn't want to beat a real and pro boxing fighter instead of unbalanced opponent? He's just doing it for money and nothing else, i wonder who would be that Japanese boxer they are talking?

Some say that the possible Japanese fighter would be Takashi Miura.
Super featherweight ex-champion? What about 126-130 lbs? Floyd fight at 147 lbs and can get re-hydrated at 150 lbs or more fight night. But since he is fighting exhibitions, weight doesn't matter prior or during the fight. But this is just another circus fight.

Another money making campaign of Mayweather, ...
You may right mate, it was all about monetary, business and marketing strategy. Floyd Mayweather is more of a businessman than a boxer. Ain't know why as far as I know his CEO has declined the Pacquiao match and they said, Floyd Mayweather has no interest on a boxing career. My guess is only using his assets in the right way. As long as he would still be able to use it he needs to use it to earn more profits. That's how you do it in life. Floyd Mayweather is giving entertainment and that's his business.

You really are always updated with Floyd huh? How do you do that? Kidding Cheesy

Maybe he lost a lot of money to gambling or whatever, for sure it's going to be always about money and going to be a big event. Hopefully, it's not as disappointing as the one round from the New Year's event held in Japan also.

Another money making campaign of Mayweather, he knows after the fight with McGregor fans will be engaged with him, not sure if what's the real intention why he made this deal even there's a lots of expectations between him and Pacquiao, chances that heor the promoters are still not convinced that the rematch between the two will gather lots of money inside the boxing arena.

Chances that they want to reached more interest so they need to create more news about Mayweather's Future plans and engagement.

Rofl at the thread title.

What's up with Mayweather these days and why does he keep doing all these dog and pony shows?  Is he actually broke?  I mean even after the huge event with McGregor?
He just wanted to be relevant I guess. He says he quit and retired, but it's hard to leave boxing itself because that what made him famous. And since Pacquaio has back to back wins, he still wants people to talk about him and be in the conversation. I don't think his broke, he just simply wanted to stay in the limelight so to speak.  Grin

I thought it would be naoya inoue but he is not former Japanese boxer, he is still active on boxing.

Btw it says "A Japanese boxer, a former boxer, from what I heard, I got a call today." in this site: https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/8435989/floyd-mayweather-to-fight-a-former-japanese-boxer-in-first-of-five-exhibitions-that-will-make-him-62m/
