The story funny but me I no dey surprise ooh, for Nigeria and you no expect people to dey drag food for programs? Abeg make we no do as if we no know waiting dey sup for the country, As Nigeria dey like this some people dey even pray make they set location for where food to dey because hunger Don nearly kpai some people for house, make we no surprise say all this thing's dey happen because na as country want am we dey live.

Talking about people wey dey earn salary dey drag food for ceremony, if you ask people wey dey earn salary about there salary some of them will even tell you that it is better make them get another way to succeed in life because the salary wey they are paying no reach them, if them make person die today and if they set location for food people will still drag food, so if you see people draging and you no fit join them just commot for there.

This is something that's normal in Nigeria, at some point almost everyone has done this but there's a certain level of maturity that you would have and it would make you lose interest in things like that. One thing a lot of people fail to do is to add value to their self, your self-respect matters. How can someone who is a father be at an event dragging food, it shows indiscipline and immaturity. Make money so you would be well fed, food at events won't be something that would bother. Was at an event a year ago and I saw a married woman fighting because she didn't get food, I was disappointed.

To be sincere some family in my side here are used to it, they always attend any occasion within our community even if you are not their relatives once there's occasion within and even outside the community, no cooking of food that day, although i knew this because of my friend in that family, sometimes he will complained that hadn't be he has other alternative he will not longer eat any food his mother brought from occasion.
 
But this issue has being into existence since I was born and I don't even think this will stop forever, at time when you look at the situation of the country economy things aren't getting easy every day, the hardship,cost of living and hunger can make or force some people to be doing that, however with time things will be okay soon.

This food dragging for occasion no start today oo and e done they worst now because of the hardship way they the country, the one way happen recently way some women way go drag rice die because as them they drag the rice some women fall and because of the crowd some women fall and the match them go death, e get one way happen for my home town, e get one marriage way happen for my town after the marriage finish them come bring out rice to share na so them just round the person way they share the rice before we no watin they happen them fall on top the person way they share the rice and before you know it the person faint people had to go and rescue him and they brought him out from the crowd and rushed him to hospital and he survived.
The reason why this dragging of food for occasion con worst like this na the too much hardship, people they suffer to eat, food now they very costly if person carry 10 thousand naira go market now person no fit buy food way go last for a week or even 3 days so people see occasion food as a big OPP to eat without spending money.

Normally dragging of food and drinks for occasion na big time fuck up and embarrassments, only greed and selfishness 9 fit make a grown up man or woman go dy dragged food for occasion. Anybody wey still dy do am should stop it e no gud.

See mk I tell u, u see this our beloved country, u see anything food, dem no dey carry am play, anywhere free food dey come from whether wedding, burial o, naming ceremony etc, as far as say free food dey come out from, dem no dey shame to dey drag am o, wen dem don see say that day food don dey sure for and u come want mk dey come dey Shame because say dem dey for occasion, although I no too blame people wey dey drag food for events o because this country wey be things dey cost steady and to dey see beta thing wey go give u better money to dey buy food no easy, some self to see food na war for dem, so if dey see that opportunity dem dey grab am well, some dey even fight for because e no easy o for this country but the one wey dey pain me pass na that ones wey be dem get better work and food no be their problem but yet u go still dey see dem dey drag food, maybe dem dey get joy to dey argue with people or maybe dem won add more to the ones wey dem get.

This matter na legit matter and u been dey think say na only me been dey observe all of these stuffs but e come be like say I'm not In this shit alone and no be say I dey drag food for events but the truth be say I no dey carry occasion food play especially  burial rice and forget pride at some times i dey forget home training once food matter just reach.
This thread don make me laugh tire nevertheless I believe  say with the current economy now,we go get more of the cases as like this, anywhere wey food dey na e be my home .

No be say, I go fight to take food or I no get food for my house but you see party food, if e no reach me, e get one kind pain wey I dey feel I go hustle collect my own so I go dey satisfied no be say I go fight person just to get the food.
How you dey feel when other people wey dey around you for party all get food but only you never get? E dey pain everybody that's why some people dey quarrel waiters for party😃.

Normally me ah no like that kind thing wey be say adult go they drag food for occasion e they piss me up well well. Most persons go talk say nah how the country they nah him make people they do like that but me ah conclude say na immaturity be that. When ah beeen they grow up ah see that kind thing well well and ah no like am. Na why me stop to they attend occasions. At least if person no get food for house make him try lock up and find way no be to they disgrace himself for where people full as if him no they chop for house. My mother no they like see him children they do those kind things she done vex carry us go house, infact if she follow for people wey they share the food she no they even give us food at all.

My concern nah just about the self control wen time to share food and drinks don reach for party. As for weda them invite you or not that question no suppose be wetin you go ask person for this harsh economy at all. Just as @cryptoprenuerbrainboss talk for him comment say on a normal nah this party then nah some people for we country the use survive and that thing nah true cos I don see plenty people wey the usually run that package every weekend. There own nah to just move out the scout where better occasion the hold make them join body see food to take survive the weekend, them the even come with sack bag sef for take home.

My own be say if food plenty for the party give everybody not minding who them invite or not bcos any food wey remain after occasion some people the throw am away something wey them for give people extra choppins to make sure say food no waste. And this thing na caterers the usually do am, them go the economize food wey owner of party don pay for to share for all guess so that them go get wetin go remain to take go house nah make me for my party I no go fit emply caterers to com dey in charge cos many people no go see food chop , my guys go run the package for me as I want am

 Some people no even get shame at all, they no send who day look them or who them day deprive of food too as long say their belle don full and their bag too, but no be so ee suppose be they suppose day consider the person way host the event, because the thing day actually ruin event, you go come day see scenarios where people go day complain give person way host event say they no see food. Whereas the person go day think say food day go round for him event, they go see shortage of their food for their event when don day spend plenty for food. At least make we day day considerate about our action.
  We know say government no try and them day fall our hand well, but that one no mean make we loose how our values and moral. They say charity begins at home, make we no day do watin we no like make dem do us. Cause this life hector by turn, whether government or no government make we day try use our conscience.

This na normal Naija vibe na... one of the things wey make Naija be cruise. The funny thing be say most of the people wey dey drag food for event na people wey hold money and can buy everything them chop for the occasion.  You see that free food, that one taste differently and no be something to miss 

But the thing dey pain say you go event and them serve food e no reach you. Make we comot play for the matter,  e no dey sweet at all.

  The government don turn our country to jungle place where everybody wan just survive and you know say for jungle na the strong day survive, it’s is either you eat or your being eaten and ee no go jell if na you day chop. Normally no be everybody wan use ear hear say free food day go on for some kind location, they ready even turn up to the location even when they no invite them come. All this na because of free food and drink oo just to use quench hunger. All this for no sup if we get better leaders for that top, hunger don be major issue now as we day, average man day chop just one square meal for a day with no source of income way go dy back you too. Hunger dah outside like this some people gan na their only chance to chop for the day and you wan make them no drag the food when he come. Shame no day again cause na survive mode person day on.
  All this lapse for no day if we get  better government for office and if this our leader fit create opportunity for boyz to work on cause the way the country day move, ee day move really fast but no day carry him people along, our debt just day increase for world bank hand, all this issues we day on right now na our government put us inside, food way suppose be the least thing, the list common thing a person suppose get. Because we no fit actually day without the 3 basic things which are food, clothing and shelter. Vexation full people body na why we day always para we no o even wan know way person day compliment us without saying na whining. We day see the least thing as compliment as whining, just of because the shege we don see don too much. One good thing about niaja be say we fit leave and adapt to any condition and country. If we fit survive for here other places go be like cake for use if we use our head.

I believe say as a Nigerians way we be, one or two persons go done hear about the popular saying, way talk say na conditions nai make crayfish bend, this talk mean say as money no dey, any body way see how e go take survive for that day make e do am because food no go fall from heaven come down even with all the prayers way the person self go pray.
Anything way be occasion, e good make people also join to celebrate but when food time done reach e also good make the attendance self dey on good conducts so that them no go disgrace them selfs for public, we all know say the country dey hard but make people also try dey control their self when them see free things

E get one occasional wey me sef go one time like that wey i see the way dem de drag food there my body just weak buy guy you no go blame them oo na just the way the country don turn out, money no de ground and things just de cost de go economy don bad so even young people wey get hustle de follow drag food because say money wey dem de make no de do dem and them get people to look after so dem no mind anyhow and anywhere wey dem go see food dem do anything for am. If you don enter somekind places you go know say hunger de dis country but if you no de go anywhere you go de think say the way tou de na im other people too de but na lie country hard gaan.

The issue be say the money wey dis workers de use buy food before don increase now so as food price don increase e don affect the quantity of food wey dem go fit buy so if dem de chop 3 square meal before now e go don reduce go 2 and again the quantity wey dem go dey cook go reduce also so dem no go de belle full as before. Almost everybody wey you see de waka for street de hungry because food wey him chop for house no do am na why all these young people too don de drag food for occasions now. Hunger de dis country like this but we jus de pray make things change and I believe say with time e go better.

E don tey wey I dey see those things dey happen my brother, waiting dey even surprise me be say if they do ceremony wey food no dey enough na another problem because person go even carry the matter go out say you do and you no give them something chop, even people wey dey collect salary no wan dey suffer now, everybody just wan carry food go house wey be say the food stuffs wey him buy for house go maintain, the reason why this thing dey happen be say things Don cost, thing's Don get money and even the salary earners E no dey reach them to spend.

I no blame anybody for that thing wey them dey do but for burial ceremony, haba, E no good at all, person die wey them go pray for am they still dey fight because of food for the ceremony, even if person wan cause fight make him no thing's wey him go cause fight for, and even like naming ceremony or marriage own it is not good for people to be fighting over food, because it very dangerous, I have seen a ladies fighting because of food and at the end many people end up in the hospital because they got injured with hot water and on the fire and some fall on the hot soup.

The tin wey dey happen now b sey d economy don bad now wey b say people no dey c food chop again, alot of people no dey eat common for house because notin dey for them to eat, even transport sef, no dey na beg dem dey beg waka.
The reason y those youth wey u say dem dey work n receive salary join those old people dem dey pack food for party b say d salary don too small wey no fit feed them for d week , how much more for d month, some self na only transport or water moni come out for d month, how u come feel,say them go survive Civil servant and private sector too no increment of salary na mouth government talk am put dem never show working for dem moni,some state government self dey try pass federal government n.a. so so stories federal dey tell him workers dem. lf u go market now every tin don increase ,so dem small moni wey dem dey receive for salary no fit do anything, nigeria government self no fit help so everybody dey find how him go survive for the country. Still on still, this matter don deh worst now self. The burial weh I attended this weekend weh just pass make me realise how things don deh very bad. I thought much people no go attend that burial unto as the dead man no too mix up with people when him deh alive. But people plenty everywhere and deh drag food. It was not a small matter. Hardship don make many people begin mishave without knowing say them deh misbehave so.

Na everything bad we deh carry put for culture. How can this type of thing be culture, nonsense culture. Why is it say na for poor people or average parties we deh see this type of your culture but we no deh see am for well organised parties. Abeg I no agree with this one.

I may not totally agrees with this as a cultural practice influenced situation because those involved in this kind of manners are really hungry, they needs food to eat to keep them alive and healthy and so any opportunities they receives will give them more opportunities to getting their problems solved by eating and having enough to takeaway, most of these are during ceremonial celebrations and other cultural outings.
