There was a time that Kylian Mbappe almost signed for Real Madrid but decided to extend his contract with Paris Saint Germaine because of how lucrative the offer from PSG president was and that's why I wouldn't say he is trapped. Though he was denied the chance to leave PSG last summer to Real Madrid by the club but I think he should've left the club when he had the chance but never used it.
That being said, reports has it that the Frenchman has already reached an agreement with Real Madrid to join the Spanish club next summer which I think is definitely gonna happen baring last minute changes from any of the two parties

Signing Toney in January is going to be a big task not like Brentford even replaced him in the summer, his absence has been telling on them. Honestly I think Arsenal should be mindful of the Striker that they want to invest heavily on such that the present & future are assured. Toney is a booby trap, considerable number of his return are penalties, and he’s not as technically sound and He'll be 28 by march. He's not someone that I see elevating this Arsenal side as much. Left for me, I don't need Toney, he’s almost the same profile with Gabriel Jesus. I need a poacher that can score half chance, a deadly finisher. I don't care about the league he comes from, but a good finisher.

I would not say that the David Raya deal is a smart signing, i don't know what Arteta was thinking there, David Raya is not such a good goalkeeper, neither is he better than Ramsdale, they are both on the same level (average); i know he was trying to bring competition in that position, but it has not worked out that way, Raya has been shaky since he joined Arsenal and he has been culpable for quite a few goals. I'm pretty sure Arteta knows he's made a mistake, but he is not yet humble enough to accept that he made a mistake and restore Ramsdale to him number 1 position, he is sticking to his guns, but that might be Arsenal's undoing this season.
