I would say that casemiro was carrying the club through keeping mid. Playing without him made MU has no guy who can keep mid to be owned by manchester united. It was also triggering so many attacks were coming from its opponents.
I would like to see who is the guy that will be picked by ten hag to replace him. Ten hag needs to put midfielder as the main concern during winter transfer season.
