It's true this was a panic buy from manchester united and I don't think we can fully criticize Erik ten hag's decision to sign Reguilon. That is much better than not getting a replacement for Luke Shaw when the competition is running early and if Erik ten hag wants to replace one of his players as a left back, of course it will increase the risk in every game. Manchester United is not used to being like Real Madrid, which can arrange its players when needed to fill empty positions. So whether Reguilon is a bad buy or not, I think Erik ten Hag has his own assessment and we'll see how things develop with Manchester United.

I really do understand where you're coming from. I mean, Erik Ten Hag might have seemed a little panicky when he grabbed Reguilon to fix Shaw quickly. But wasnt Chelsea being tough when it came to Cucurella? What should a coach do? If it were me, I would agree with Ten Hag. Dont put off a good choice because you might end up with no one. Both Felix and Cancelo are great signings. FC Barcelona made a last day show.
Joao Felix has no buy option clause though. It was only 1 year loan deal and Barca will pay 8 million Euro for that. Seems a bit pricey but it was important to sign this kind of players to win the La Liga title.
Cancelo is also a loan player and he doesn't have a buy option, Barca only think about this season for both transfers. Now Barca has great right back and left back, just like good old days. They were the biggest contender for the title, now they are heavier favorite. I wonder what they will do in Champions League. For the money spent, they should be in the semi final at least.

I think Joao Felix's loan transfer has been completed so they have some more attacker power. With the money they received for Dembele, they can get a replacement if they want to. As for Ansu Fati, the people who started comparing him with young Messi actually did him bad. It's super easy to fall off if there's little to no expectations so you know that you have to work 5-10x more in order to achieve great things. But if you're hyped up after actually very little with high expectations, I've found that people fall off.

There have been multiple instances of the next Ronaldo and the next Messi but so far, no one has been able to replicate what those legends have done. If there are going to be any more legends in the future then they have to create their own thing different from what Ronaldo and Messi have done.

For now, I haven't seen too much of that. Ansu's start was very good but considering the time Xavi is getting now it's very little for Ansu and we can see that he rarely starts as he's mostly on the bench.
Competition for young players at Barcelona is so strong because there are so many talents who have good progress, now Ansu must be able to prove himself that he can be better because it can make him in the core squad which is still very rare to see him in that position.
On the other hand, his hopes may currently fall on Lamine Yamal because he has been trusted in several matches as a core player even though he is still very young but his progress is quite promising.
