Yes it is really. Saudi league is not for young player like Viega who has a lot of potential. He could have moved to some other European team and had improved there but I highly doubt this move will turn out to be fruitful for Viega. One can earn money near the end of their career but player also need to develop and get good achievements under his belt which I hardly think Viega will do by making a move to Al-Ahli.
I certainly do agree with Kroos feelings here. He is 100% right here.
Realistically now it is bad for young players to move to less competitive league or more less a region where football isn’t fancy like that, but I wouldn’t blame Viega, he had his choices and he made one, he could go there and become a Better player and move back to Europe, there have been young players in the past that have traded same before, a clear example of Yannick Carrasco of Atletico Madrid who went to China and came back better. Also Viega can be a lot like Oscar who left Chelsea for China too for big check and his reasons was that the money will be use to cater for his community which was his sole purpose of being a football at the time.
Also the Saudi league might look like a better place for Viega in the future. Yeh league shouldn’t be undermined because I don’t see them slowing anytime soon like the Chinese league did, I see a nation that has a vision to be a home of football and with the money seriously European football will have that competition. They are not just signing old players but also younger players, which shows their long term project.
It seems like West Ham have agreed a deal with Ajax for Mohammed Kudus in a deal worth €45m including add-ons. Honestly he’s a very good addition to west ham United. I think a lot of European clubs were in for his signature but them not signing him is a question on the minds of plenty of those following these clubs. There was interest from Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea in him earlier in the window and according to Fabrizio Romano, these clubs made enquiries back in June for Kudus but nothing materialized.
The deal is almost complete after Kudus played his last competitive match for Ajax yesterday and also bowed out with an hat trick. He also admitted that west Ham is a great club when he was interviewed post match which signifies that there is a move going on. Honestly speaking this is a very good accusation to West Ham’s attack with there only Right winger been Bowen, Kudus will add a very good competition to them. He also is a winger with an eye for goal which will reduce the pressure on Antonio a bit with West Ham too dependent on him. Although I am disappointed that Chelsea didn’t get either him or Olise because there right wing position is just not balanced yet with only Sterling playing from there which is not even his favorite position at all
