Neymar's move seems like a weird one to me without a doubt, it looks like we are talking about something that is a bit more "thanks to Ronaldo" type of thing again. I understand that Saudi league had money before but lets be honest with each other, they didn't offer this type of money before or we haven't heard about it neither. Have you heard them offer 100+ million a year to a single player before Ronaldo? I think that's the situation to be a bit different like that and it works both ways.
These players came in because Ronaldo went there, but they also came in because they are offered a lot more in the end as well, that's how it is most of the time. I guess we should not be considering whatever the reason is, but it's definitely big deal.
Exactly the money was definitely a huge factor in deciding this move to the Saudi Pro League. I look at this players and said to myself who would have eventually planned on snubbing this errenous amount (maybe Mbappe) but it is tempting. Then another thing that is actually a major driving tool again is the Ronaldo influence. The Saudi played a smart move by first of all moving to get a high profile player like Ronaldo first and before going for the other players. Many will argue that it is not Ronaldo’s influence but money, but to be sincere they were money in the league before the arrival of Ronaldo, but many of these players didn’t go there. But right now they will think ok if a fifth time Baloon D’OR winner is in the league then what do I have not to go there.
This strategy is not only boosting the League’s reputation but also increasing the chance of Saudi holding a World Cup tournament in the near future. Should many of these players continue to move there, their players will also gain valuable experience playing along side this players.
Oh, then I wish Lavia good luck at Chelsea. Because like I said there are many alternatives in the same position now so there is going to be a tough competition among them. However maybe one thing can be seen as a plus for Lavia there. All of the players including him are quite young now. Therefore if Lavia works harder than them he can increase his chance more.
Chelsea have been making decent transfers so far but we should be able to see this reflecting on their performance during the season too. I wouldn't like to see a similar scenario to the previous season. Because back then they again made good signings but there were serious issues going on.
Lavia moving to Chelsea over Liverpool also casts some disbeliefs in me but I am not in his position to decide what is best for him. He might have looked at both system and taught that the Poch system suits him better than Klopp’s. Nonetheless I think he will certainly slot in perfectly into both teams first eleven easily, although the chances of him getting more minutes in Liverpool is pretty high than at Chelsea. At Chelsea he would certainly not bench either Enzo or Caicedo, but will surely be used as a double pivot with Caicedo and Enzo sitting ahead as complete 10. But looking at how Gallagher performed in the weekend he might be hard to fazed him out of that starting eleven now.probably with Lavia coming Chelsea will listen to offers for Connor Gallagher, with many clubs interested in him.
The Olise deal also seems like a good idea to me looking at how the right wing is not be used properly or rather any player pining that position down permanently yet. At the weekend Sterling played from there but wasn’t impressive as he use to play from the left, so adding Olise will bring in an extra attacking option there and who knows he might be the answer to the position
