Obviously, Lukaku can make a good contribution to Jose Mourinho's squad. Because they really need an attacker at the moment, Tammy Abraham is injured. The news of his move to AS Roma seems to be materializing in the near future, several local media reports that today Lukaku will go to Rome to sign a contract. So far Roma have not been able to perform optimally in Serie A, most recently they lost to Verona 2-1.
True even though Lukaku left on loan, at least it was better than sitting on the Chelsea bench or playing with the Chelsea U21s. Previously Lukaku also refused to move to Saudi, even though he could earn more money there.
He has already worked closely with Jose Mourinho in previous seasons so the arrival this time will provide quite a special Reunion for the two. Seeing the progress of Lukaku transfer, it looks like it will be completed as soon as possible by Roma because they really need additional strength on the front lines.
Even Lukaku is willing to get a lower salary with Roma. I think he really missed Serie A so he turned down big offers from team saudi arabia. So, if this transfer is successful, surely Roma will get a pretty good striker for this season. Dybala will partner Lukaku I think they look aggressive to become Roma goal machine this season.
There aren't many players who have played for more clubs in their career than Lukaku...
But this is a turn of events that came quite unexpected as I didn't really read anything about it and was quite sure that they will rather work something out with Inter Milan. But ok, at least Lukaku knows his new coach then and Mourinho also knows what to expect. But Mourinho is not a soft guy. If Lukaku doesn't play well, he will be spending that season on the bench.
But I find a bit odd is that
there is no option to buy him when the loan ends. So most likely he will once again be playing for a different club when this loan ends. He is literally like a tourist jumping from one club to the next and back.
