Saturday's gossip:

Paris St-Germain are attempting to hijack Bayern's bid for Tottenham's England striker Harry Kane, 29. Kane seemed certain to go to Bayern, but now all options are open. Bayern certainly cannot compete financially with PSG. Will Kane be a replacement for Mbappe or do PSG owners want to create a new fantastic attacking tandem for the new season, Mbappe and Kane?
Chelsea are looking at a making up a move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, with PSG also interested in the 23-year-old Serbia international. It seems that after the departure of Messi and the possible departures of Mbappe and Neymar, the owners of PSG want to find quality replacements for them and spoil the plans of Bayern and Chelsea.
Bayern Munich forward Sadio Mane's representatives have met with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr to discuss a move for the 31-year-old Senegal international. Bayern had big plans with Mane, but now they want to get rid of him as soon as possible. Will he be able to replace Mane with Kane?
PSG have targeted Napoli's Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen, 24, not to replace Kylian Mbappe but to help convince the France forward, also 24, to sign a new contract. An interesting and somewhat desperate strategy, will it work?

https://www.bbc.com/sport/66197235
This is a huge problem for Bayern Munich if it turns turn out to be true that PSG are joining the race for Harry Kane. Even Tottenham will be worried that their chances of convincing the player to extend his contract will be slim therefore I expect Bayern Munich to rush things and move faster and get a deal done before PSG with the financial power win him over by deciding to pay the money Spurs are demanding for.

Arsenal officially announce Declan Rice as their new player for the 2023-24 season following Kai Havertz who had already join, mikel Arteta always has his own way of develop his squad, now they have Havertz and Rice. I am sure that by add two names above Arsenal's midfield will be more and more wary by opponent and can to compete with the Manchester City midfielder who is famous for his sharpness in penetrate the opponent's defense.

Arteta was putting havertz as winger in the last match. Those players are not playing in the mid together. It seems like that arteta gonna be very often in doing rotations in the club. Im not feeling doubt about that. Let's see how good rice on his debut with arsenal. Arsenal was feeling difficulties in beating number in the last match. It's a shame for the club like arsenal was not able to beat it with great scores.
Havetz played so badly. Arsenal fans are expecting big from rice rather than havertz. We will see how good havertz and rice to play together in the field. In my opinion if there will be now huge change for the performance of club.
Im thinking about rice will not have good performance on his debut. let's see how it will be going on for him very soon.

it's now official - Declan Rice moves from west ham united to arsenal
at arsenal london, the 24-yo midfielder signs a long-term contract and the transfer fee is expected to be well above the €100 million. this is now a transfer record within the english pl

Good signing, bit expensive for a defensive midfielder but he will improve them. Arteta has spent a lot of money now in recent years. He has no excuse if he ends up empty handed again.
Elsewhere - Fabinho has been given permission to undergo a medical with Al-Ittihad. [@SkySportsNews]
Hopefully Henderson goes too.

I am hearing that it is going to be a £100 million transfer with a chance of £5 million add ons. But it is certain that he is definitely going to Arsenal. And definitely a good signing. This was certainly a very expensive transfer. Arsenal will have to make sure that they can get the most out of him. Arsenal cannot end the next season without any achievements. They will have to perform better, especially towards the end of the season. I also agree that Mikel Arteta has more money in his hands now. So it will be a good decision to increase the depth of the squad.

Remember when everyone was trolling Cristiano Ronaldo after he said that the Saudi league is improving and has the potential to be a really good one in the whole world? Well, it seems like Cristiano Ronaldo is the one dictating terms. He is the trendsetter.

For Arsenal, the purchase of Rice is a done deal and a great addition to the teams attack where Saka and Gabriel play from. I don't know if Arteta is willing to spend more on getting more players, he should however because last season is enough lesson already.

Messi to Inter Miami is one done deal too and we hope to see how he gets to improve the Beckham's squad preceding next season. Some other great players like Luis Suarez is being sourced too to join the club and give it the boost it needs to succeed.
Just as Christiano Ronaldo is a player-coach, we would see a time when all these new clubs joined by retiring professional footballers will win grand trophies. Messi is expected to be a player-coach too overtime, with the wealth of experience he has gathered and his ability to influence a teams performance.

Rice was very expensive for Arsenal, and he is the most expensive English player for this team. Maybe after this deal, Arteta did put himself under pressure to get better results in the next season because after spending his huge amount of money people and the fan expect much more from him now, even if they are racing with Guardiola because this time Arteta spend more money for the players.

Older players flocking to Saudi for a big pension contract it seems.

Not older players; lets call them players in their prime or nearing the end of their prime. If we evaluate offers for Ziyech, Mahrez these are players that can still perform at the top for 2-4 years; they are not past their prime yet. The Saudi league is growing its reputation and drawing quality talents; it will be a league to beat in few years to come

PSG are trying to intervene and sign Kane for themselves. The last offer made by Bayern Munich is said to be 80 million pounds. PSG can surely offer the same amount to join this race easily. But the thing is which team Kane would like to pick here. Both of them are top teams that just won the title of their domestic leagues and that are going to the Champions League as well.

Honestly the Bundesliga is a way more quality league than the Ligue 1. Technically Bayern Munich and PSG have both been dominating these leagues for a long time. But still the Bundesliga is seen as a way more competitive and quality one now. Besides I believe Kane would be the main target at Bayern Munich as well. I think he should go there.

If the choice is between PSG and Bayern Munich I think it would be better to choose Munich as you said more competitive but the problem is Bayern Munich don't want to pay 100 million they are only willing to pay 70 million even with 70 million it is considered expensive because Harry Kane is already 30 years old which means the price is not commensurate with its age. Tottenham as the party that gets the money, of course chooses PSG, but Kane prefers Munich he wants to get a title before retiring.

Rummenigge is talking to the player regularly according to reports. Bayern Munich talk confident about the Kane deal to happen. They believe that they will reach an agreement with Levy and he will finally drop being too stubborn. They still wait for an asking price for Kane while they continue to make new offers.

Levy tries to stay adamant in this and leave an impression like Kane won't be sold as the current offer is not even close to the level he wants. But until when can he maintain this attitude? Kane must have stated his intention to leave to join Bayern Munich already I assume.

Great deal for both the player Declan Rice and the club Arsenal Football Club. For the player, it'll be an opportunity to play in not just a bigger club than his former but also to participate in the UEFA Champions League competition which is the most prestigious club competition in the world.
Arsenal's manager who's proven himself already to be a good tactician will surely bring out the best from the England international. With this huge signing and a few more signings before the end of the summer transfer window, Arsenal will be English Premier League title contenders come next season

good signing by Arsenal, but what a job from West Ham owners
they bought West Ham on a 105 million valuation and now sold one player to take it all back, so club is practically free for them

it was a few years in process, but great job by them

Rice is a good player, but 100 million is just too high to pay for him, hopefully Arsenal will get back some on shirts and commercial profit, but can't imagine that he will be a decider in title race

Jurrien Timber deal has also been completed by Arsenal just like Havertz and Rice deals. Arsenal still maintain their main policy of signing young and talented players for the team. I really admire the work they have done as the arrivals are really good players. However they are only focusing on this kind of transfers these days. I mean they should look for some older experienced players as well. Because they just can't build a team with only youngsters if they aim higher from now on.

Because a completely young team always tend to make simple mistakes in a critical time. These players would make use of good leaders in the team as well. I hope Arteta knows the importance of this now.

They need players to lead the team. We saw the lack of it at the end of last season. You can't win a Premier League title with purely young talents. Arsenal need to strike that balance.
Transfers are looking very good. Rice and Havertz are top class players. The money spent is also quite high. I still think that a few experienced players are needed. If they want to grab that championship this time. Manchester City never give up the championship race.

It is very impressive for arsenal to sign him in, he is a young talented player that other club are interested in him that's why he is this expensive. It is good move for arsenal to still go ahead to get him even with the huge amount,  I think he  will do well for arsenal but I'm not still sure about are arsenal,  if they can be so good to win EPL next season.  But they still need to try their best this time to win a trophy  , because that's the essence of bringing in expensive players into the club.
The most expensive transfer fee in this period, 116 million euros. The names of such transfers in the past was Ronaldo or Neymar and now comes the name Declan Rice to it. He had been at West Ham United for 10 years and he has was the most valuable player of the club. At Arsenal he will have a higher chance to win titles and he will play together with several top stars in one team. A good decision from him.

But on the other hand, PSG told the player that he either leaves now or signs a new contract. I don't understand what right they have to give such an ultimatum, because the player has a valid contract until 2024 and PSG can't physically do anything with him. Theoretically, what will they do if the player doesn't sign a new contract (and he won't)? Limit his playing time? A disgraceful act if that is indeed the case.

In the contract they have agreed with some rules so if it's possible to do that why not? in fact the club can hold players who want to move to another club if the contract is still running, if a conflict occurs and the player does not want to play for various reasons then the club can cut his salary or not pay him at all this is the rule in effect as far as we know. Actually there is no crucial problem in this matter, Mbappe is just waiting for his contract to expire or PSG can let him go in the middle of the season it's only a matter of time.

But losing steam at the end of the season had nothing to do with the quality of the players or an inflated number of injuries signs of exhaustion. Arsenal couldn't handle the pressure and that was very typical they started losing and tying games that they would have won just a few weeks earlier. Luck turned against them as well and the didn't play as compelling anymore while Manchester City played their best games for months in a row. That made Arsenal nervous because they realized they can't afford any tiny mistakes anymore.
Arteta forced almost all the players in their main squad to continue playing in all of Arsenal's matches. because he knows that the quality of players to replace players injured or affected by card accumulation is not as good as the players he chose in the main squad. so, Arteta, this season decided several players who could be another option when some players are having problems performing.
Man City has better-quality players. they can appear consistently to catch up on points last season. and finally, they managed to beat Arsenal's mentality which began to falter.

Sure Manchester City does have better quality players, but there is also a lot of work and focus involved in their success. Having better players is one thing, but having them also perform to the maximum of their abilities is another thing as we could see what happened in Chelsea. But in the second Premier League game between Manchester City and Arsenal last season it also became obvious that Manchester City is a lot stronger even when Arsenal have their best eleven starting the game. This isn't something Arsenal can fix within a year or so. That will need a lot of time from here and the question remains whether Manchester City even played their best at the end of the season. In my opinion they could have gone even harder if they needed to.

I'm not a fan of Paris SG but I'm a little annoyed with the news that always talks about Kylian Mbappe's problems with his own club there is hypocrisy here like Paris SG still expects something good from Kylian Mbappe but he doesn't give certainty.
I only saw that this problem would be resolved soon when Paris SG extended his contract with him and Real Madrid gave up hope.
I totally agree with you regarding Kylian Mbappe, this is already confusing enough that there isn't even any certainty about it. Between PSG and Kylian Mbappe there cannot be one goal. And if you see the reaction of Real Madrid, especially Florentino Perez, they are no longer too ambitious, apart from the high price offered by PSG, Madrid has decided not to make any more purchases. This does make sense because Madrid need to wait until next season for Mbappe to be free.

Al Ahli are pushing to get Riyad Mahrez deal done. Talks advancing on player side since June — as he’s prepared to accept Al Ahli bid 🇸🇦🇩🇿
…but Man City are still waiting to get official proposal and documents, key stage before booking medical.
It will be discussed next week.

Another really good player moving to the Saudi league. I know that it is not official yet. But I believe it is going to be done very soon. The Saudi league is turning out to be a destination for the players who actually want to be earning a lot of money towards the end of their careers. But it is still going to need a lot of time for the league to actually be a competitive one. Because if the players are not old enough, they are not moving to the Saudi league right now.

And I believe Manchester City will be approached soon.

Galatasaray actually had a very good team last season for the Turkish league and from what I've noticed they are already investing a lot of money again. Angelino has already been brought in, Icardi is also to be bought for €10 million and there are rumors about Paredes. The team should apparently become competitive in the Champions League and with 1-2 more good transfers that is quite possible. But the other teams in their league probably just don't have the budget to buy expensive players, maybe Fenerbahce can somehow get a few good players, everyone else will probably not make it.

Maybe Real is currently waiting for PSG to lose their nerve and make concessions on the cost of Mbappe's transfer. This is very logical - PSG cannot afford to lose Mbappe for free (they themselves publicly announced this) and if they do not sell Mbappe by the end of July, they will pay him a loyalty bonus. It turns out that PSG is in time trouble, and Real is waiting for the right moment.

Pavard is a good player and I think it is a great target to replace Walker. Personally, I would still place Walker way ahead of Pavard because Walker is great at catching wingers with his speed. I would say Pavard as a "best alternative" since Walker move to Bayern was unanticipated. Recently, I have seen that Guardiola don't try to stop the player and he respects whatever decision they make so Walker move should be a done deal as it is matter of fee now between the clubs. Due to this, City might find easy going for Pavard deal as well.

I am not going to say if Pavard would be the best defender but he is joining a very good and consistent team so naturally he will do great at City.
Manchester city remained the top elite club in the English premier league presently with additional outstanding performance. Pep Guardiola has solid thoughts for his club; he's not in immediate need to sign players like other coaches, but once he does, there's a fair chance that the player is one of the best and fits into the position he's been assigned at Etihad Stadium. Pep Guardiola is widely recognized for changing players' roles at the club. Benjamin Pavard has been suggested as a substitute for Kyle Walker by Manchester City. The French defender will achieve amazing things for the team since he is consistent and covers well for the Englishman.
