On the other hand, now Mount seems to really belong to Manchester United now with a price of 55 million + 5 million bonuses and it is rumoured that in the near future he will undergo a medical test.
According to some information that Fabrizio Romano said in his tweet,
https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1675629931412193281?s=20The medical test was carried out on Monday and indeed this is already the last step for Mount to wear the Manchester United uniform.
Mount's long-term contract and option for a season extension will allow him to stay until 2029.
The midfield for Manchester United has been filled now for the attack line which is also in the process of being rumored but in this case I will not be too satisfied if they forget about the defense which actually if you look at this season the defense has a lot of gaps.
Fabrizio said that currently Bayern and Kim have reached a verbal agreement and this means it is difficult for Manchester United to get Kim. IMO, they have to look from now on I think because seeing from the condition of the defense that is less balanced this can cause anxiety for the fans.
Mount's signing is a good move for Manchester United, who are clearly trying to strengthen their team. But I am concerned that they are putting too much emphasis on their attack and not enough on their defense. While the middle of the field has improved, it still can't carry the squad by itself. There don't appear to be any promising defensive players on the horizon, at least not from what I've been able to learn. A purported agreement with Bayern appears to have taken Kim, who had been on their radar, off the table as well. I mean, if you don't have a solid defense, your offense won't matter. Don't you think it's reasonable to suggest that Manchester United should expand their defensive-oriented scouting efforts?
As I said earlier, they now need to make some other moves with defenders for now.
Kim is already difficult to get because he is very close to Bayern so they have to look for other alternatives, they have to realise that time is running out and they should move quickly on this unless they still want to stick with the same defender although I think that will be a lot of gaps.
Now apart from Mount and some young players they are trying to bring in in attack, there are no names for defenders currently rumoured with Manchester United.

I personally believe that Manchester United should also concentrate on the defence as you said. They actually have problems in both attack and defense, to be honest. But attack is a bigger problem. In the last season, they were not able to actually score enough goals. The defense was not one of the best as well. But I believe as they have made the midfield a great one they should actually improve the attack first. Without a good attacking line, they are not going to be able to score enough goals. They should remember if they concede one they have to score two.
For strikers it seems Ten Hag is still determined to bring in Rasmus Hojlund even though the second bid for 45 million was also rejected by Atalanta and asked Manchester United to raise the bid back to at least 60 million for Hojlund.
If they really intend then this is also still possible, it's just that they also need to save money with conditions in internal chaos and the struggle for shareholders is still volatile there.
