Hearing Manchester City are interested in bringing Gvardiol and Kovasic triggers my curiosity to ask what Guardiola is planning for the coming season. Manchester City are in good shape at the moment and still have enough firepower in their reserves, if they successfully add both players to the squad they will be a team to be feared in the league next season.
Manchester City is targeting to spend 120 million euros to get new players in preparation for next season. Josko Gvardiol and Mateo Kovacic two are good Croatia international players that can add to the quality of City. The RB Leipzig defender will be a great plus to the defensive line up and Kovacic have been one of the best players in Chelsea. And the failure to qualify for the Champions League will be one of the motivating factors that is pushing the Chelsea midfielder to depart from Stamford Bridge.

But we have to wait for the clubs involved to announce the deal because the news is that the players and City have made a verbal agreement. Chelsea wants to extend the contract of the Croatian international but the club will have to let him leave if he insists. Chelsea will not make much money from his deal because he is in the final year of his contract. RB Leipzig will make money from the sale of Josko because his exit clause in RB Leipzig's contract for 2024 is worth about €110 million. Will City be willing to make him the most expensive central defender in the world?
If there is something that we all know, it is that Pep always has ways of surprising us, as far as I am concerned, Guardioola is one of those players who always has an Ace up his sleeve, perhaps Pep knows that any movement can give him a victory without so many suffer us and he wants to cover those gaps that he can see or the vulnerability in the team that he can heal, however if Pep gave him that possibility it is obvious that he will take it to take advantage of buying the players that he sees that he will have complementing well his team, it is known that the PL will be tougher now more than ever, he only makes the pertinent movements.

No one can doubt that Mbappe is a good player and he'd improve the squad of the Gunners but I don't think Arsenal needs such a player RN. He's got a self-centered mentality and I doubt he'd be able to fit in the team. What Arsenal needs is not just any kind of forward, but one who would be willing to share chances when he's not in a position to score, not a childish player who stops putting effort the moment he does not see the ball.
Apart from that, I also don't see rumors about Mbappe going to Arsenal from PSG and I also think that Mbappe is really not suitable for Arsenal. Because Arsenal need more players who can work together and don't blame each other and give vent to their selfishness on the field so that a typical player like Mbappe is slightly less suited to the character of the Arsenal team and for now I actually have more confidence in Mbappe who will stay at PSG rather than leave to another team.

No, Mbappé in the best of cases would like to go to Real Madrid, but he knows that he himself did it all wrong when he said no to Madrid once, so the yellow press says that Madrid is not going to give all the money that PSG asked for him, and we all know that is a vile and vulgar lie, Madrid has everything so that they can buy Madrid when they can and want, the amount doesn't matter, we all know that when Madrid wants something they get it, and they have no financial problems.

Mbappé will not go to Arsenal either, the truth is I don't see him there, he will stay at PSG, he has no other better option, also the years go by and he is no longer as coveted as before, and apart from this we know that Madrid will He likes to sign very young players and who want promise, I think that Madrid will not have an option for him but for another.

Al-Nassr are considering bringing goalkeeper David de Gea, 32, to Saudi Arabia after the goalkeeper's Manchester United contract expired. Just a few days ago, it seemed that David de Gea would stay at Manchester United. Has something changed?
Real Madrid hope to rival Barcelona in the bid to sign Fenerbahce's highly rated attacking midfielder Arda Guler. Who will bring him?  Grin

I love Daniel91's gossip, very accurate, in fact I thought De Gea was going to stay at Manchester, I've seen a lot of gossip that he was going to another team in Europe, but wow Arabia? It's not bad for the player to have a large inflow of money, I think he would put everything on a scale and say that the best thing is a good slice of money, with the option of continuing to grow in football and not choosing to go to a league like the MLS where everyone gets ready to retire, with respect to Arda Guler I think that here the one who offers the most money for him will win, and if so obviously Madrid will win, there is no doubt about it, also He has the profile that this White team likes, a new player, promise and really a new discovery, here everything depends on Arda Guler where he wants to go, but he doesn't make the same mistake as Mbappé, saying no to Madrid in a moment , is to say no forever.

Regarding Arsenal, I hope that everything that is in their demands materializes, this team is very valuable, they need to get ahead with everything, for me it is a great promise, as it happens to me with Newcastle, and the salaries are justified for when the performance of each player makes them Champions , if not you have to ask the Dortmund team that they almost made it, and it is a team that forms stars and always has them ready to sell, it is their business model , but since they They came so close to victory, because we will see how they will be this time in a new season in the great Bundesliga that many considered boring due to the hegemony of a Bayern.

We must know the main problem, Mbappe wants to stay with PSG for one more season because he has a bonus if playing one more season based on the contract agreement, but he did not want to extend the contract here we can assume that he pursues a bonus. While PSG doesn't want to be like that because next season he can go and PSG doesn't get anything as free transfer so PSG must get a new contract at least until 2025 in this situation, of course PSG is uncomfortable and they can just release mbappe in this transfer window or in the middle of the season what is clear before the contract ended in June 2024.

I don't really know if that bonus that Mbappe would receive is really that big of a problem for Paris Saint Germain. In the end they are owned by a sheikh and everything gets paid by him anyway so that bonus payment should not be that big of a problem. I also don't think that Mbappe's main reason why he wants to stay another year at PSG is that bonus. As far as i know he is earning 72 Million € per season at PSG at the moment which makes him the best paid footballer in Europe by far. So he does not really need that additional money i would guess.
I think that Mbappe will stay another year because his primary target, Real Madrid can not buy him in this summer because they have already bought Bellingham and Real has pretty high debts already. So they need to wait until the end of the coming season to sign Mbappe.

The truth is I don't see a Mbappé at Real Madrid and for obvious reasons, as far as I'm concerned, another season Madrid will be interested in another player, time passes and Madrid knows that and Florentino Pérez doesn't like players that they are over 22 years old, so Mbappé I already think he may be at an age where his competition starting with Haaland who for me is much better than Mbappé, so I would not say nor would I want Mbappé to go to Madrid, I think At PSG he would do very well.

Perhaps an Mbappé who likes being where the sheikhs are so much because he is obviously much more interested in money, I don't blame him, I think we all work for money, but here the opportunities are unique, I would dare to say that Mbappé in a In the future he will go to one of the teams in Saudi Arabia, who will offer him much more money there than before.

Its not that Mbappe would improve Arsenal, but he would improve just about any team in the world (except maybe Man City but I am pretty sure that Pep would fit him somehow). Having said that, there's literally 0 chance of him joining Arsenal as it would go against everything they do as a club and the most realistic scenario is that he ends in Real, either this season or the next (more likely)

In other news, I still can't believe that it looks like Brozovic is going to Saudi Arabia in the end, mainly because it might have a big impact on our (Croatian) national team as level of play in Saudi league is much lower and I am afraid that will affect his performace for national team. Too bad that Barcelona can't afford him at the moment...

It's very interesting to wait for it.

There are 3 potential strikers to be seen in the lineup of Chelsea now: Nkunku, Jackson and Lukaku. After the Jackson signing I started to believe in Lukaku's being sold this summer more than before. Jackson looks like a decent striker who came from Villarreal for a cheap price. He can play on both wings when there is need as well.

I think Nkunku will be the only forward in Pochettino's formation and Jackson will be his substitute. And Lukaku will say goodbye to the team sooner or later. Chelsea are in a rebuilding phase so still giving chances to Lukaku would be a huge mistake for them.
I think there are more than 3, there is still Noni Madueke, David Fofana and Armando Broja, Raheem Sterling, Makhaylo Mudryk, Christian Pulisic and Hudson-Odoi. When I look at it that are too many players.

Nicolas Jackson comes from FC Villarreal for 27 MIllionen euro and Diego Moreira Benfica without transfer fee. They are two different players, Diego Moreira is 18 years old and he will need a few more years to score many goals in the premier league. Nicolas Jackson is 22 years old, an plays for Senegal. He scored 12 goals in 34 games last season. I would say that Nkunku is currently a better player, maybe he can pass Lukaku, we will see.

Pulisic is already on the list of Olympique Lion as a potential transfer target and I guess nobody will be surprised when I tell you that Lyon is also owned by an investor from the US. Usually I think Pulisic wouldn't go to a club like Lyon as he probably has offers that are much better than that in terms of the quality of the team, but that US investor most likely pays a tempting salary and a vision for Olympique Lyon that might be convincing enough to get players like Pulisic.
Since he is 24 years old and a US citizen, it is easier for them to transfer. because Lyon, owned by the US investor, wants to achieve better success with good transfers in the future. Chelsea have sent a lot of their players from the team this year. One of them could be Pulisic.

I don't know Arsenal can or would like to spend hundreds of million euros to make a signing like this in the first place. Even if they do Mbappe wouldn't still choose Arsenal as long as Real Madrid make the same offer.
It all depends on the offer and Mbappe's decision to choose that, but we as a football fans know Real Madrid is more stronger and high likely will help Mbappe to reach his maximum capability. Mbappe could win Champions League and get Ballon d'Or easier.

It's also an honor for Mbappe to replace number 7 player in Real Madrid which one of them is Cristiano Ronaldo, there are many reasons Mbappe will move to Real Madrid rather than Arsenal.
Mbappe doesn't have a special agent so that's why it sounds tricky. Because Mbappe only relies on his mother for transfers to any club. Madrid has had a relationship with or maybe a contract with the mother for a long time so it will be quite difficult for us to get confirmation that is really valid. If only Mbappe had an agent in his transfer, 2 years ago he was confirmed to have played with Madrid. Recently, Arsenal have emerged as a competitor to get Mbappe, or have they just joined in?

After all, what other position does Arsenal need after all the ideal players they have? In my opinion, Arsenal is completely unsuitable for Mbappe, even if you insist on getting him, it won't happen. In my opinion, Arsenal is just trying to lure a higher price and Madrid's offers are being made more and more. It's not surprising that Liverpool also helped to enliven Mbappe's sale, for the sake of fishing for big fish, the bait needs to be enlarged.

There are rumors that De Gea has previously agreed to a contract extension with a salary cut, but Man United was reluctant to sign the contract and provided a revised contract extension with a more significant pay cut clause. I think it was the significant salary reduction (revised contract) that caused De Gea to choose to leave Man United.

Previously, De Gea agreed to a contract extension with Manchester United, but after Manchester United decided to cut his wages significantly, De Gea refused, and I think anyone would do the same in this position. Manchester United has cut half of his wages. De Gea has lost his place at Manchester United and it would be better if he finally decides to leave because after all, he is no longer the main goalkeeper of Ten Hag's squad.

Losing De Gea could be a big problem if Man United cannot find a suitable replacement for his position. Besides Onana, Man United also seems to be interested in Justin Bijlow, goalkeeper of Feyenoord.

De Gea is a good goalkeeper for Manchester United and has made a lot of saves in every match, but now his performance is gradually declining, making Ten Hag have to look for other alternatives, Andre Onana will be one of the right candidates to replace him. Because he has the same way of playing as Manchester United. Ten Hag is no stranger to Onana, as they have worked together during their time at Ajax and this is one of the reasons why Ten Hag made him the best choice.

After David De Gea left Manchester United on a free agent status, now Manchester United will certainly try to bring in Andre Onana from Inter. Now the goalkeeper position at Manchester United is indeed vacant and there is no replacement for the main goalkeeper position in the Red Devils squad. We know that Andre Onana's performances over the past season have been impressive for Inter and he has often made important saves in his matches.

I think Erik ten Hag knows very well about the quality that Andre Onana has during his time at Inter and makes him one of the most suitable targets for a replacement for David De Gea. Until now there has been no official offer from Manchester United for Andre Onana, but if I may speculate about the transfer fee, it is likely that he is around 40 million euros to 60 million euros.

Andre Onana really didn't want to go to another club, he was very excited when he was brought to Man United. Even though currently United fans are grieving after the loss of their legendary keeper who has served for a very long time. For that, Andre Onana must be able to show his best and deserve to be called a replacement for De Gea. After all, the position of Man United goalkeeper is not easy to really get full trust. Erik Ten Hag had high hopes that Andre Onana was the character he wanted.
Surely the Red Devils fans are very sad because they have to part with the legendary goalkeeper who has served Manchester United for 12 years. David De Gea is also the only player left from the squad that won the EPL in the 13/14 season and before he finally left Manchester United at the end of this season.

At present it is clearly very difficult to find a successor to David De Gea to secure the red devil's goal, but Erik ten Hag is not too bothered about it and has prepared a replacement who is also of very high quality. I think maybe Inter will slightly increase the cost of Andre Onana's transfer clause because his long term contract expires in 2027 and of course they also need funds to improve their squad. I think Manchester United will be willing to spend quite a bit to get the services of the 27-year goalkeeper.

De Gea performance dropped and he was responsible for the loss of many games in the previous season along with Harry Maguire. I wouldn't call it a big loss since they could find a better goalkeeper elsewhere.

De Gea's departure has made Manchester United think about finding new ammunition ahead of next season's Premier League. Manhcester United's move to sign Andre Onana has the potential to become a reality this summer, Inter are reportedly ready to part ways with him. I think this is the right choice for Manchester United to bring in Andre Onana as a replacement for De Gea, because we all know the quality of Andre Onana who can always save Inter in every game.

True, Ten Hag has strong reasons why he is interested in signing Andre Onana, Ten Hag stated that Andre Onana would suit Manchester United's playing style. For Ten Hag, Onana is not a stranger, the two of them had collaborated when at Ajax and from their collaboration they have brought five trophies. This is one of the strong reasons for Ten Hag's desire to recruit him as a replacement for De Gea. Yes the speculation about the price you mentioned is true because recently I heard that Inter want a transfer for Onana worth 60 million euros including bonuses. But on the other hand, I see that Manchester United will have a bit of a problem regarding the price offered by Inter because Manchester United's transfer fee is quite limited this summer. Meanwhile, on the other hand, Ten Hag had to buy a new striker and midfielder.

I am curious to see what will Trent play next season. Everybody knows attack is his stronger part of the game and I hope Klopp will find a way to hide his defensive problems.

I'd want to see him play DM or LMS for the upcoming season, I'm still confused as to how he became a defender with such pass vision and accuracy, he's been wasted at the back, he'd cause a lot of havoc in the midfield. Let's see what Klopp has in store for him next season.
Trent Alexander-Arnold had really performed brilliantly as a right full back for Liverpool until last two seasons when his performances diminished and lost form, recall his ability to overlap along the flank and his ability to cross ball to his main striker was topnotch just like Roberson doing the same job at the left flank, though Trent Alexander-Arnold might also has his weak point defensively well Gareth Southgate played him in midfield in their recent matches for England personally I think he only play against minnow countries e.g Malta   until when England play top football countries and prove him himself in those matches that is when I will rate him.
This season he made a lot of blunders, especially when he helped the attack too often and was always late to go home and guard.
This really needs to be fixed because if you look at the games of Trent this season he has really lost momentum a little bit I think but towards the end of the season his role which was actually defender I changed to become a central midfielder and that was actually quite good I think because he is can be in that position and his attack is actually very good with Trent in the middle.

Even now with Szoboszlai it is possible to be in that position but I think this experiment can still be done for Trent next season but indeed if it is still possible ideally for this player he will return to full-back and the midfield will be filled by Szoboszlai and Mac Allister also could be a good option.

Fabrizio Romano has announced the Szoboszlai deal as done for Liverpool officially.

It is a 70 million euro deal for Liverpool. I think he is one of the really good talents who are worth paying this sum of money. He is only 22 years old and he can have long years at Liverpool as long as there is no problem with adaptation. But he has already played in a competitive league like the Bundesliga which must be some help.
It didn't seem difficult for Szoboszlai to adapt to Liverpool, after all, he was very optimistic that in the hands of Jurgen Klopp his abilities would really help. The position he currently plays is Midfielder in other words Liverpool can still put him in the same position. However, Klopp can experiment with providing other positions. As for the nominal 70 million euros, it is quite fantastic because Liverpool needs to demand Szoboszlai according to the same quality.

This is a warning to Premier League clubs, especially for them to be careful because they will certainly have one club that will compete at the top. Last season Newcastle showed something very good, and at its peak they were able to finish in the top 4 in the standings. They realize that the squad they currently have is not strong enough to be able to compete strictly, moreover they will compete in the Champions League next season. The steps they are taking are very clear towards the thorough preparations they are making for the 2023/2024 season.
Newcastle will be facing UCL very soon. Eddie howe must have made so many preparations to face UCL. UCL was not a competition that easy to beat. UCL has so many great clubs competed one to each other to win UCL trophies.
Manchester city has been winning the trophy last season. It will be also trigger newcastle's adrenaline to play even better next season. Newcastle is about to shine soon.
They know the UCL is not a comfortable place because of course we can also see that the Champions League is a different level place but for this season actually I still feel that when they are in the Champions League it doesn't mean their targets are high but this can be a more experience for Newcastle and this can also hone their mentality or performance in a better direction because if they really want to make a difference with the money they have, then they have to play with a big club and the Champions League is a suitable place to hone their performance.

seeing this, I really appreciate what Newcastle did, because they know what to do with the stable finances they currently have.
Eddie howe was not crazily spending so much money. FFP has been limiteing how much maximum amounts of money that can be spent by the club. Remember that newcastle becomes so crazy after it has bought by PIF of saudi.

IM very glad howe was putting efficiency in above of everything right now. That's why newcastle was only targeting quality players.
In fact, judging by Howe's form in recent seasons, he knows what he needs and building a strong team doesn't necessarily mean signing expensive players but players that fit exactly what he needs to fill a void in the existing squad.
Several of Howe's purchases last season, such as Trippier, Isak and even Karius, were arguably failures and produced good results for Newcastle. This season also looks like it will be the same as before although maybe for other things there are star players who are hooked but of course this has to suit his needs.

Szoboszlai is a really great penalty taker as well. There is an interesting piece of info about him too. He always uses the penalties to the same corner. However goalkeepers still have big difficulties in saving those penalties thanks to his great technique.

Even if it was a small country that Trent Alexander-Arnold played in midfield against, his movements and the passes he was able to complete from the midfield really showed that he can really do very well if played in Midfield against any team both at the National and club level. If klopp will give him a chance to play in Midfield, I believe we will see an improved Trent Alexander-Arnold that will be able to create more chances for Liverpool from the midfield.
