Well, are you kidding Ivan Juric and Roma? Grin
Coming to AS Roma, the pressure will weigh heavily on the 49-year-old coach's shoulders. Ivan Juric has never managed an elite club until today, but in Italian football, he has been highly regarded having led Hellas Verona and Torino for several seasons. I know Ivan Juric's job will not be easy. Except to bring confidence to the team and the fans. His biggest challenge now is to bring Roma back to the top of Serie A and Europe. Ivan Juric's immediate task is to build a team that can regain the stability that was lacking in the early stages of the season. Ivan Juric's experience will play a vital role in achieving these goals.

You and I will wait and see if Ivan Juric is really talented, then Roma will be the right one in this story.
He might not have handled a top-flight team but he has been an assistant to Gian Piero Gasperini at Inter Milan and Palermo. His wealth of experience in the Seria A will be helpful. Ivan Juric have worked with clubs with low budget and has managed to make some impact. His appointment to a club like Roma which has the money and good players might bring out the best in him. He has all the time to bring back Roma to its winning ways since the league is just starting.

I never expected the Croatian coach to be appointed as a coach because there are many other quality coaches in the market. Thomas Tuchel and Massimiliano Allegri would have been my best choices. Roma lost some of its players especially, strikers in the transfer window. So the coach's main task will be how to unite the players, boost their morale and maximize their potential.

With utmost respect, who the hell is Ivan Juric?  Grin  I'm hearing about his name for the first time in my life. It didn't take me too much time to do a quick research. I didn't find any achievement of him. He has been a manager in Italy for years. That's all I know. He managed teams like Torino, Genoa and so on. Not any big Serie A team history...

I know I'm getting prejudiced but for now he is not more than a dark horse. Therefore yeah, I also think this is a big downgrade for Roma after Mourinho and De Rossi on paper. I wish he proves me wrong...

The Osimhen transfer will be talked about for years to come. I don't know if he will stay at Galatasaray for 1 year or 6 months. But I know very well that the Nigerian superstar will be talked about for years to come. That's why I'm most happy. I expect him to have an impact like Hagi and Jardel who played for Galatasaray before. Next week in the Turkish league, Galatasaray will play the Fenerbahçe derby. The footballers who score in this derby in the Turkish league will be known as real Galatasaray or real Fenerbahçe players. If Osimhen scores a goal in this match, it won't matter how many years he stayed at Galatasaray among the fans.
Osimhen transfer is no longer as interesting as when his name lifted the trophy with Napoli last season, now his transfer is just a solution to the uncertainty of European clubs regarding Osimhen quality who is considered a Napoli outcast. This is the real situation between Osimhen and next season transfer. You need to know that when he was in his prime, refusing to leave was a bad decision for many clubs that he ignored. So it's time to stop making a big deal about Osimhen departure in the next season window. I don't pay much attention to the Turkish League and most of us pay attention to Turkish clubs when they are in the Champions League. Osimhen can definitely give them a UCL ticket next season but they won't have Osimhen after that.  Grin

Rumors of De Rossi's dismissal have actually been around for a long time. but several times it was not done because of considering something that gave De Rossi a chance for the first few matches of this season. but the team's performance was not good and a change of coach had to be done.
Ivan Juric will face many challenges as Roma's new coach. but as a start, I'm sure his focus will be on improving the team's performance first in the first few matches. I'm not sure about the target for this season that can be made as an agreement between the two parties. Roma is already a few points behind, but this is still early. there are still many possibilities that Roma can achieve. of course, Ivan Juric has a lot of work.
At least Ivan Juric have a lot experience in coaching, while De Rossi was only coaching in SPAL, then he move to Roma lol. Sacking De Rossi is a right move, if not Roma might be relegated in this season, the task might not that big, Ivan Juric need to save Roma to not stay in the bottom.

Unfortunately the transfer window in Serie A is closed, so he can't sign any new players.
Ivan Juric is only a mediocre coach who can coach a mediocre club to finish mid-table. He has never had great achievements in his career as a coach. And his coaching history can be seen below.

Based on his coaching career above, I do not expect him to do much better at Roma. And it doesn't fit Roma's vision to qualify for the UCL next season.

Roma needs a big name with lots of experience. Not an amateur like him who only coached a mediocre Serie A team.

With the dismissal at the beginning of this season is very vulnerable because why many clubs do not want to lose momentum at the beginning that makes them far behind like what Roma management did they have thought hard enough because De Rossi is also a legend there but what can be done all for the sake of the club and I think this is the right choice, and with this decision there will definitely be a lot of pressure for them who this weekend will meet the current Serie A leaders Udinese of course their coaching staff must think hard so as not to lose points again at home.

And currently Roma management has shown interest in Iban Juri who comes from Croatia, he has a good thing in developing talent and Roma is interested in him because he is like Gesperini at Atalanta in terms of style I think this is the right choice for this city club to bring in Ivan Juri who is already quite experienced.
Sometimes a team will move quickly when they have made a bad mistake in certain things in order to improve the future of the team. As Roma did, firing De Rossi is one of the policies of Roma management which is indeed done for the good of the team. Compared to having to maintain a coach who has not contributed anything until the middle of the season, it is better to replace the coach at the beginning of the season so that they can have more time to adapt.
I'm not sure if Ivan Juric can improve Roma performance. But what I know right now is that Roma not only needs a professional coach but also a quality attacking player. Let's compare how Roma was still assisted by Lukaku.

BTW, what I said last season when De Rossi first joined Roma and received a lot of praise, I said it was just an easy start for the coach when he only continued the line up that had been neatly designed by Mourinho. But when the new season starts, all the bad things will be seen.

I'm not joking, but Roma is just getting worse day by day. They have successfully downgraded from Mourinho to DDR then Juric.

I don't get the point of spending 150 million in the summer window if Roma sacked DDR. Their goal is to qualify for next year's Champions League. But they signed a guy who never coached a top team or played in European competition, and he has a terrible ppm.

Has Roma changed its target from getting a UCL spot to avoiding relegation with Juric?

What a terrible club.

My transfer speculation is Osimhen moves to Galatasaray from Napoli on a loan deal that will last from September 2024 to 2025, which of which Galatasaray has the option to buy him, and I think they will probably take that option because Osimhen is an exceptional player, he puts continual effort to develop himself, and he will be an asset to anything he joins.

Joa Felix joining Chelsea from Athletico Madrid with a whooping transfer fee of fifty-two million dollars, it's contract to run from August 2024 to 2030, which shows how much value has been placed on him, I believe he will continue to maintain his value in Chelsea because he's a hard-working player, I think these two players are worth every penny that will be invested in them for transfer because they are talented and they are dedicated to their game.

Osimhen's transfer window ended in a surprise move and no one could have predicted that he would end up at Galatasaray. Osimhen is a very talented player and his dispute with Napoli led him to the Turkish League. I don't know if it was the right option but Galatasaray cannot afford to buy Osimhen. The cost of a single player is a third of the team's value. Therefore, Galatasaray cannot afford to cover this cost. Osimhen will most likely leave for the EPL at the halftime break.

juric will replace de rossi but it has to be a very quick and quick thing because the substitute has to manage a good team that is not managing to play well in the championship and de rossi knew how to convey a lot so the substitute has an important job to do for me I've never liked him but let's see what he can do, he also has a certain Dybala on his side so...
If Roma were able to find a replacement for De Rossi so quickly, it means they were already prepared for it. But they signed a contract with Jurić only until the end of this season, it means they want to do the same, give him some time to prove himself, and in case of bad results, so that they could find a replacement for him.

The contract included a condition that if Roma gets into the Champions League, the contract will be automatically extended, a good incentive, but it will not be easy to raise Roma from the bottom. I do not see Jurić having great achievements to become Roma's coach.

The departure of Victor Osimhen from Napoli to Galatasaray was not as a result of him having issues with his club Napoli there was no news that Osimhen had issues with Napoli, the new manager preferred to have Lukaku in the team so the club has to bring in the striker that Conte is willing to work with.

Every one was expecting Victor Osimhen to move to the English Premier League since he once talked about his love for Chelsea football club but the things did not work out between Napoli and Chelsea and since Osimhen was not willing to accept the mouth watering offers to go to Saudi Arabian league, the best and the most surprising option was to accept the 1 year loan deal to move to Galatasaray hoping that he will definitely move to a bigger and better club after his loan deal is over.

“AS Roma announces that Daniele De Rossi has been relieved of his duties as head coach of the first team.
The club's decision is made in the best interests of the team, to get back on the desired path as soon as possible at a time when the season is still in its early stages.” https://www.asroma.com/en/news/71904/club-statement

The love for De Rossi from Roma's bosses did not last long and as a result of a bad start to the season, after 4 games Roma have only 3 points, but the strangest thing for me is not the news that De Rossi will not do well, it was clear after Mourinho's dismissal, because it became clear that the Roma management has little idea of the club's capabilities.
It's also not clear why De Rossi's 90 million transfers were made and then he was sacked after only 4 games. Again strange behavior of the Roma management.
What about Roma players like Dovbic who trusted De Rossi and joined the club or players like Dybala who didn't go to Saudi Arabia but decided to stay at Roma?
Is this true? I mean I get that De Rossi wasn't doing that awesome but he was loved so much after he replaced Mourinho and got a few good results at the first games as Roma manager, but then he didn't do that great. I think they must have someone in mind that they already talked to if they are letting him go, they are not going to let him go and then start looking for managers, that would be a wrong move, I am sure that if he is let go then they already verbally agreed with someone and they will replace him soon enough without a doubt.

You will see in a day or two they will announce who the new manager is because they must have bagged a good manager to make this kind of move this early into the season. Normally you wait until at least November or so to fire someone even bad, I mean decent ones even get fired but usually when the season ends, but even the terrible ones are waited until November or so, not right now at when its still September.
I also honestly don't remember such a quick dismissal in serious clubs, and Roma is quite a famous and rich club, which although the last few years can't be called a top club, but Roma still has a certain brand.
In addition to the strange dismissal of De Rossi, now they have also quickly and unexpectedly found a replacement for him - Ivan Juric.
Ivan Juric have a style close to Mourinho and Ivan Juric also likes to park the bus in the penalty area and play every game from defense, on counter-attacks, but in any case Ivan Juric is worse change than Mourinho in that case.
When Juric left Torino and there came Vanoli, he immediately put attacking soccer and Vanoli was recognized in August as coach of the month.
After Juric's appointment it is also unclear why Roma management spent so much money on attacking players?

Maybe for AS Roma management the sooner the better, while it is still early in the season and not too difficult to make a decision that is quite risky. Because, it is not easy to find the right coach when the current formation is part of De Rossi plan to go through this season. If we talk about Lampard as a replacement option, of course he has also experienced the same moment when coaching Chelsea with less than satisfactory results. It seems that AS Roma is more suitable if coached by Rudi Garcia, in terms of club coaching experience he can be much better than Lampard.

But this becomes more complicated when management is overhauled from the start because after all, the risk is still very large compared to trusting De Rosi at least until halfway through the season.

We can see Napoli's previous move which backfired on them for changing coaches too quickly and something like this could also happen to Roma if they make the wrong move by replacing De Rosi too quickly especially since candidates Rudi Garcia and Lampard do not have a brilliant record when replacing as a replacement coach.

I think giving De Rosi a much bigger chance now is still a good option but when they want to try to change coaches with better hopes as long as they are ready to accept the risk then indeed it can also be done only they must be prepared with all the risks they have to bear later.

The management immediately moved quickly after Roma poor start to the season only managing to pick up three points from four games, perhaps now is the right time to sack De Rossi before it's too late. Roma top brass decided on Ivan Juric who has a playing style similar to Gasperini, he is considered as a figure who can develop young players as the pulse of the newly built project. The former Torino coach is ready to become the new coach for Roma, now both parties are finalizing the details of the agreement in the contract. Regarding Lampard and Rudi Garcia, they are not in Roma plans, especially since Lampard has always failed to manage the team.

Italy Serie A is very competitive. Managers are under a lot of pressure and some have already been fired this season. AS Roma decision to fire Daniele De Rossi is questionable. Roma did not start season well so maybe management had reason to act. But De Rossi is legend, and it is surprising they fired him so soon. Roma next game against Udinese is crucial. They need to play well but there is a lot of pressure. Italy league is tough and demanding. So let's see what the Roma will do in their next matches.
The Italian League is very competitive with lots of teams competing for the title, we have seem how they sack managers and employ new ones just to get a good result. Almost every top team in the league have sacked and employed a new manager and that’s what Roma did as well.

It seems they need urgent results and can’t let this season pass them by. A lot of teams are impatient with managers because they need good results as soon as possible and they don’t care if he used to be a good player for the team or a legend for the club. It is really surprising hearing about the sack of De Rossi, the league is very competitive with lots o pressure on coaches. Now being a coach will come with lots of pressure because you are expected to deliver at all cost within a short period of time.

After going through four less than satisfactory matches and losing against Empoli De Rossi was officially sacked by AS Roma. If you look at AS Roma's performance it was not too bad and they only drew and only lost once but the management did not consider anything even though the match had only entered the fourth match. Now looking for another coach will not necessarily be able to provide better and maybe the new coach must try to adapt to the team.

Serie-A is indeed quite competitive and a little mistake can make a coach lose his job and now AS Roma must find a coach. Rudi Garcia and Lampard are rumored to replace De Rossi and maybe these two coaches will be considered as the right replacements.
I think dismissal of coach it's not a matter of whether a league is competitive or not, because every team certainly has its own views on retaining or firing a coach, we know how Juventus continues to defend with Allegri previous who continued to fail to bring Scudetto for juventus , as well as Atalanta who entrusted Gasperini for a long time without the title previous and Milan and Napoli who actually sacked Spalletti and Pioli when they could still be at the top Serie A standings so far, I think the dismissal carried out by Roma is none other than De Rossi inability to can improve Roma performance and also the game although they has fulfilled all the requests from De Rossi in transfer market, in recent seasons Roma only targets to qualify for the Champions League as a condition to retain the coach, So when Roma is down and does not have a good performance at the moment, course firing the coach will be the right solution to do at the beginning of the season to continue to provide opportunities and time for the new coach to bring Roma on fulfil the target of qualifying for the Champions League later.

It appears that Roma has hired a coach from Croatia, Ivan Juric, who has an experience with Torino in the previous season and left them this summer without being hired by any club until now.
That's a fresh news that I found in news just few minutes ago and i was quite curious why Roma didn't announce that just when they fired De Rossi which didn't spend enough time with the club in my opinion but unfortunately his record was not that good this season..
That's right, AS Roma has officially appointed Ivan Juric as De Rossi's successor, actually De Rossi dismissal surprised me, we know their travel statistics at the beginning of this season were very bad. Fans expectations of De Rossi were previously quite high when he took over from Mourinho, he was considered to have made AS Roma develop for the better. Ivan Juric will be contracted until the end of the season, if he succeeds in presenting a ticket to the Champions League, reportedly his contract will be extended. I assume De Rossi dismissal will not have an instant impact, they will need a longer adaptation period to start it again.

I still remember that last season Roma owner praises De Rossi for lifting the team's performance and this also makes them has decide to extended De Rossi contract until 2027 and Roma also are willing to spend a lot of money to bought the players De Rossi want because they were confident Roma will be able to performing well under De Rossi but in fact Roma current position is only at 16th place because they were failed to win in the last 4 matches in Serie A

For Roma 150 million is huge money so that's why the owner were set high target to De Rossi but the current Roma is very disappointing and beyond their expectations because previously they hopes Roma can compete for Champion League zone so that's why although for some people their decision to sack De Rossi is too rush but Roma owner feel they have done the right thing

This is still the beginning of league so there's still time for Roma to bounce back but indeed changing the manager in the middle of competition is very risky because possibly Roma performance will be more worst than now and for an example that last season Napoli was changing manager several times but it doesn't make them better Napoli even had to finish 10th place in the final standings

I won't call that a downgrade yet, if you say worst day by day, I could agree so that did what they had to do. It's high time we see what Juric can do for the club. Champions League Competition is the target then for next season.

Maybe they should have backed up Jose Mourinho before they sacked him and they didn't. Daniel De Rossi utilized same players Jose Mourinho couldn't use to win games at some points but it's what it is now. Clubs go through this changes and it takes two to three transfer window to get drastic changes done completely.

The arrival of Pedro Neto, Joao Felix, Christopher Nkuku, Jadon Sancho and Co's are direct signals that Chelsea has no such plans for a player like the Ukrainian Mykhailo Mudryk. Reuniting with his former Boss sounds great, maybe he should have been patient when Arsenal made moves for him. Ben Chiwell is also rumoured to be leaving the club despite been integrated back into the squad.
