Sunday's gossip:
Manchester City are considering a bid for Paris St-Germain right-back Achraf Hakimi, 24, and "will not hesitate" to pay a big fee for the Morocco international. Manchester City is getting stronger for the new season and another top footballer is leaving PSG.
Manchester City have agreed personal terms with RB Leipzig's Croatia centre-back Josko Gvardiol, 21. According to all available information, Guardiol will become the most expensive defensive footballer in history and join another Croatian in the team, Kovacic.
Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea will hold meetings with the agents of Napoli's Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen, 24, next week over a potential move to the Premier League. Everyone wants Osimhen, but what will he decide in the end?
Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has asked the club to bid for Barcelona's Netherlands midfielder Frenkie de Jong, 26, after pulling out of the race to sign England's Declan Rice, 24, from West Ham. Good job for Bayern, but will Barcelona agree?

https://www.bbc.com/sport/66007856If Achraf Hakimi succeeds to Manchester City, then in the hands of Pep Guardiola he will become a reliable player. Since becoming the main Moroccan squad, Achraf Hakimi name has continued to be in the spotlight and will have a fairly high selling value. Considering that PSG is currently rocked by various problems by leaving several players and if Achraf Hakimi is finally brought in by Manchester City, PSG will automatically not have a solid back line defense. I agree with Achraf Hakimi playing in the Premier League because there he can do more.
This might be an initial reaction because we know that one of Manchester City's mainstay defenders Walker has been linked with several rumors to leave Manchester City and of course this will be a reference for them so they are eager to bring Hakimi from PSG.
He has good enough potential to replace Walker, on the other hand he also has the vision to play and sometimes he is also always able to defend and attack in a match.
Apart from that, even though Walker didn't leave in the end, his contract and age are no longer young, so it is possible for Manchester City to seek regeneration earlier and Hakimi can do that.
I don't think for de Jong he would not be interested in going to Bayern Munich at the moment, as several other clubs have offered, the answer remains the same which is that he really wants to stay at Barcelona and be part of the priority squad and is even willing to accept a reduction in salary. That means de Jong really loves Barcelona as his dream club.
For Bayern this indicates that they have given up on targeting Rice and are looking for new options and when I saw De Jong's name I wasn't really surprised because last season the rumors were still the same.
I don't really know the condition of Barcelona's arrears to De Jong now because if you look at the previous mirror he didn't want to leave because Barcelona still has arrears on de Jong's wages that haven't been paid but now I don't see any news about this.
On the other hand, De Jong's best friend is still at Bayern, so this could also be of added value now if Barcelona's arrears end and Bayern want to leave.
But as you said, this is unlikely because it looks like De Jong is back to being comfortable with his position at Barcelona at the moment.
